I'm posting Desert Fortifications biome! Someone asked me if this map is compatibile with other desert maps, but after doing some checking, it seems due to the hue and different texture, it would work better as a self contained map set. I would like to add another desert set similar in style to this one, but without fortifications and some sort of interesting layout, because it would make scenario possibilities more interesting (for example, you could use one sheet with walls and guns, and the other map as a natural desert with some rock formations or highlands. I think a biome like that would look quite good, because it could have vibes similar to say Geonosis from Star Wars - still looking Earth-like to feel plausible, but alien and exotic enough to make things interesting.
I don't want to keep things monotonous however, so I will make such a map next month, and for now I will focus on some different biome types first, before the end of the year!

I wanted to make a map pack with a lot of fortifications, walls and spots where you could do defend base type of scenarios, so I'm working on a desert biome with those.

I'm posting newest winter biome - Ice Canals. I wanted this biome to look extra-swirly. Though the whole map consists of ice, I labeled only frozen parts of river canals as such, so the amount of ice present in the terrain wouldn't be annoying in usage.

Personally, I really like this biome! I think there is a variety of features on the map to make things interesting. It's one of those underground/surface maps, where you enter underground caves and corridors.
I didn't know how else to label it, but my intention here was that you can declare if you want to go into the cave below or stand on the ground above it (in this case, the level above is always level 2).

This is a newest map pack I've been working on. It's a hybrid map of a swampy sparse jungle area and some areas where you transit underground to move through hidden caves and corridors.

I've added serveral new labels on this map pack due to the spaceship nature of it: Gun Turret, Generator, Engine, Radiator, Fuel Slot, Hangar. Those are not ment to do anything in particular in terms of functionality, but I think those can be good labels if you want to make a custom scenario and some mission objectives, like for example getting points for destroying ship systems while fighting on it's hull. Or if you are planning a campaign, where it will matter which systems of the ship has been damaged in a space raid before it lands on the planet or a space station.
My proposition here however, would be to consider including gun turrets as actual spots where a stationary turret of your choice is placed, helping you to defend the ship, as long as enemy do not destroy or disable it (by for example destroying certain number of generators on ship's hull). I think it could also be cool to use Hangar slots as the place where after set time, some more defenders spawn.
Destroying enough radiators, would probably cook the crew inside, or at least force them to avoid using heat generating systems of the ship.

I was working on an experimental map, where the battlefield is the hull of a spaceship flying in the space, and you fight standing on it. The layout here is pretty complicated, because there are different height levels you can move across.
I have some second thoughts about deciding to make custom spaceships, it would probably look better if I used some iconic ones from one of sci-fi universes, but this is what I ended up with. My reasoning was to make a somewhat functional layout, that would be exotic but fun as a battlefield, and also to make ships modular, so you could use it in multiple map combinations (some of those probably look more like a space station, than a spaceship).
I've also planned out some new labels representing different spaceship systems you could treat as objectives or stuff to destroy, in orded to fluff-wise make the ship less functional after the skirmish.

I'm posting maps with abandoned, corroded settlement. This is one of those map packs with more desaturated color palette, I'm not sure if it was a good choice, but I wanted the place to look sort of depressing and without life. In terms of layout, I wanted to experiment a bit combining the neutral high ground (so I added those rock shelves at corners) with the cityscape on a lower level, to give some good shooting positions directed at the city, but also giving units a lot of opportunities to hide behind all sort of buildings.

I'm working on a metallic planet biome! I wanted the place to look similar to Mars, but with far more natural metallic structures, like metallic formations and seas of mercury. Probably not the most realistic layout, but it feels quite exotic!

I wanted to work on a plain themed biome - some wild terrain, which looks like if it was full of overgrown tall yellow grass or maybe wild wheat. Initially I wanted to make it flat, a bit similar to previous savanna biome, but after some experimentation I ended up with hills layout. Stay tuned!

I'm posting the map pack I'm working on currently. This time, it's something different than usual - it's a hexagonal space map! You can use it as a fun and interesting background for a campaign you are planning to organize, to pinpoint where your campaign takes place, or on which part of the planet you want to deploy your troops. You can also use it as a map ment for a space combat! I'm going to add some labeling representing the atmosphere layer of the planet. I've added one empty sheet you can use as an empty void of space, and three sheets with different planetary bodies: one Earth like, one rocky/arid + a small moon, and one sheet with only a small moon/planet.
I think it's a fun addition to other map packs, however after I finish this one, I'm going back to surface maps. I have some cool ideas for this month already!

As explained in the previous post, it's another layer far above Giant Tree Swamp biome. I'm not sure about the practicality of this sort of maps, but I thought it could be fun to have the bonus upper layer as an optional content for the biome. This level is not supposed to be used as a standalone thing, because of the way trees here are located - it's just a bonus for the normal biome map.

While working on the newest swamp biome, I've tried a few different approaches to somehow show treetops of those trees. It wasn't working too well, because the map lost a lot of readability, so I decided to stick to the initial version of the map, but I also made another one showing the upper "far up the sky" layer where treetops are.

I'm working on a new swampy area - lush and green, and including giant trees I think I used only once before. I wanted to expand on this idea, and makes trees more meaningful, as those enormously tall pillars instead of tree stumps. It's hard to represent trees like that from bird eye view, without obstructing the view, so I will stick to tree cross-sections as a representatnion of those.

I'm uploading underground biome pack! Like people said in the comment section, the initial version had some readibility problems, so I bumped up the contrast, made walls darker and made tunnels brighter. I hope maps will be fun to use!

I'm working on an underground biome - a dark and rocky tunnel network with some water pools and sparse outposts. I've tried to plan out the layout, so there are always multiple ways to the same point on the map to make the movement here more interesting.

I'm working on a frozen ice-themed map set! The layout here is pretty simple - it's a big open terrain with very high pillars of ice spread across it - while those would be very hard to climb onto and they do not take a lot of space, these features obstruct the view, making those hectic defensive barriers for covering your soldiers. I think the terrain here should have a good balance between being an open field and having some valuable terrain features you can use.

Recently I've posted a lot of more exotic-looking maps, so I thought it might be good to make something more familiar for a break this time, and I've worked on a tropical/desert maps pack!
To be honest, in terms of layout it's mostly a river themed map - I think the layout here will be pretty cool to move around - there are a lot of spots to hide, the movement is restricted by rivers and pools everywhere and you can find a lot of places you can take advantage of.

I'm finishing up the work on the newest map pack - Sea Straits! The terrain is rocky and arid, but there is a lot of shallow water around and some traces of previous habitants in form of abandoned, sparse buildings here and there. I wanted to make a somewhat coastal themed map, but with more fancy layout than a usual sea and land border.

I'm posting newest volcanic map pack! I've made a layout in a way, so you almost always have dangerous lava pools near where you stand, with only a few safe and narrow corridors, to gave the terrain more risk. The highest areas are the safest, but they leave you exposed to most other parts of the map. Take care if you plan to print this pack! Unless you use printing format, the map is going to be very very dark, as printing makes color more vibrant and darker than on the computer screen (that's why printing format is way brighter and look more bleak, to counter the effect).

I really do like lava featuring maps, as they give me excuse to play around with fancy lighting and have a lot of contrast to them, so I figured out I could work on a new biome in this style! Lots of fire, lots of molten rocks and charred stone!

I'm posting Crystal Surface map pack! I had a lot of fun working on this landscape, because it looks exotic! I've labeled hills as high elevations here, so they would act like those huge walls blocking the view and very hard to get on top of. Hopefuly it will create some interesting situations while playing around on this terrain.
