Elphelt's World

Voted the most along with the 'Old Japanese Illustration' style, I made a picture of Elphelt in an unusual way. 

I honestly never had any interest in her as a character, but I tried to look a bit past what I could see and imagine my own impression of why she visually developed the way she did in the Guilty Gear series.

In the end I was super satisfied with the result: and it didn't take a long time to make at all, I decided that I'd line it as a chill picture or letting myself make some mistakes, to imprint some of me in the illustration, as I imagine things to go in these subjective pieces.

I also decided to add some paper elements and patterns to make it interesting- I didnt use as much textures as I thought I would. But it was a super nice experience!

I know nothing about this series but the space pirates seemed to turn out the best so theres that... I probably messed up her ship. Oh well.

My May 19 - Smol Captain Lefina

Have an original character from SRW, Lefina Enfield! She's super pretty, and... Too young. Anyway at this point I decided that I couldn't do captains all month so I'd be doing 20- and even so Im late. RIP.

My May 18 - Smol Captain Gordon

Yay spaceship captain in an unrelated series! I was gonna make him just as a joke but- I think I got his style too if you look at the original Disgaea illustrations used in game. They have a bit of a painted feel to them.

Oh also that ship is super simple, but gave me so much trouble to FIND. Anyway lel, I think our favorite Defender of Earth looks quite cool.

My May 17 - Smol Captain Harlock

This might be the chibi I'm most happy with from everyone so far. I think I nailed his style, even tho I dunno the series. I got called out of using the 'wrong' ship lel but I dont mind too much, I think the character makes up for it.

I also had watched just a couple of days before drawing this the new Steven Universe episodes- and there's a reference to him in it. So that was kinda nice coincidence.

... Yes, I like SU, don't judge LOL

I'm glad I got to do something Metal Gear related haha, it's always a good excuse to reference that series. Have a smol Mei Ling.

My May 15 - Smol Captain Jamil

After I made this one I realized I should have left his shades on ; - ;

Dis be Jamil Neate from Gundam X. Aaand that's about what I have to say, cuz I also dont know this one.

With this I catch up with the month submissions and I realize I'm 3 days late... I wonder if I'll be able to compensate.

My May 14 - Smol Captain Wilder

MORE MACROSS! But Macross Frontier now.

This be Jeffery Wilder and I dunno anything about him. But I needed to go back to the people that actually look like captains for a bit lel

I'm probably going through more macross series soon, so there's that~

My May 12 & 13 - Smol Captains Max & Milia

Eee, more Macross! Macross 7 this time.

I like the way Max looks in the original series more, but... Yea, this isn't bad. And while Milia isn't a captain, she's a mayor aaand his wife, so why not? I love these two.

Also, she has a cute hat.

My May 11 - Smol Captain Testarossa

Eh, submarines don't have a fun silhouette. Luckily that means they're pretty efficient at being stealth.

This be Teletha Testarossa, she came with the lady captain suggestions, and I'd say she looks like a quiet type, but idk anything about Full Metal Panic! Everyone says its fun tho, so I might take a look.

My May 10 - Smol Captain Elchi

No one know this one. Lol jk

All I know is she is a landship captain in a series called Combat Mecha Xabungle, and the name makes it look super fun.

It was a bit hard to pull off those eyes' style, but I think it looks pretty unique and nice, even in an 'updated' graphic style.

My May 9 - Smol Captain Sumeragi

Heh, I made all of this during a trip and being late about it, and I hadn't realized Sumeragi was the 9th one. Fitting, as it was supposed to be done on my birthday, but in fact Holland and Talho were the ones made it in the stream that day.

I know Gundam 00 tho, and I really like it, so there's that. I never really saw Sumeragi as a captain, but I think she fits, so I decided to do this~

My May 7 & 8 - Smol Captains Holland & Talho

I am super hype about Eureka Seven- Not that I'll watch it any time soon but it's a really cool concept and I really wanna get to know it. Holland is the captain, but I heard he shares the responsibility with Talho a bit, so I brought her in~

My May 6 - Smol Captain Dianna

Dianna Soreil is... technically not a captain. But... I couldn't care less, tbh, I love Turn A, and it was a pleasure to draw her, hehe, and technically the ship belongs to her so, yea.

My May 5 - Smol Captain Yurika

I dunno Martian Successor Nadesico, but I was looking for some lady captains and  Yurika Misumaru was a known one. She looks really silly... The kind of character I'd love. Def need to watch Nadesico.

My May 4 - Smol Captain Global

After Nemo, I had to make Global, from Macross. I've done him before, but he looks kinda adorable in chibi form!

My May 3 - Smol Captain Nemo

I dunno anything about Nadia and the secret of the blue water, but I saw this guy in SRW and noticed there wasn't much content about it. In fact, when you look him up you get a bunch of pictures of Global from Macross cuz they look alike.

I like how he has a bunch of colors and manages to look good anyway~ 

My May 2 - Smol Captain Bright

After Okita it seemed like a good excuse to do a bunch of other cute captains around, so I got our giant robits out and started with Bright. More to come~

My May 1 - Smol Captain Okita

May is my month (lol no its not) I wanted to make it special somehow so I'll try to get a daily doodle/chibi done at it- and obviously I already started late, so let's see how it goes.

We started watching Yamato so I really wanted to draw Okita for some reason, have a chibi old man then.

Aurelia Feldspar

Commission to Lilith, one of my patrons, this one is going to be participating in the same Macross RPG, her appearance was all randomized too, but she was brought together nicely by his writing.

This one was way simpler to color and I feel its still fitting Valeria in the style, Aurelia is hooman while Valeria is half zentreadi.

Endless Chat Space

This is a patron request/reward~ I was requested to draw a Vodyani and a Riftborn from Endless Space 2 being friendly so here they are!

... lowkey I don't think I wanna see a Riftborn ever again.

But it was a really good experience. I got to apply some of the render skills I've developed in an art group I'm part on. Havent posted there in a while, but have done some exercises because of them- The applied results werent perfect, but they were something.

I wonder if I'll ditch lineart at some point... I like how tidy linearts can make a drawing.

Valeria Rojas-Sarnik

This was a commission to Arraxis, for his pilot character in a Macross RPG being cooked by a friend! She's half zentreadi, and a lot more interesting details that were all... randomized. But resulted in this beauty!

I researched a bit on the coloring style- didn't get it to the point I wanted it, but it pleases me quite a bit. I also made the lineart trick of making it look as if it was from an old animation. It's thicker and blurried, and it made quite the nice effect. In fact, I've been using it quite a lot in pictures after this one lol

This picture made me grow quite a bit in skill, and it was made in just 3~4 days~ Quite the record for me.

This is a commission I did while I was working on the big group picture - to a Veil Totem guild member, Rager Grassfed, of his tauren character and his blind baby daughter.

I'm really happy with the coloring here, specially their faces and horns, I think I've done good... The rest could use some better work, but I'll get there.

MSN-04 Sazabi

Patron choice picture for this month! Its a sexy giant robot and comes with some phone wallpaper trims... I hope they fit hehe.

I'm pretty happy with the result, tho I got careless in some proportions of the Sazabi, I think it looks decent. I had some help with the background, and it looks pretty impressive compared to what I'm used to do haha
