Here is a really quick WIP preview of getting started on the food trays, here is the Chinese-style one, with all of the tray swatches added. And a bonus pic of what the chef in my game restaurant has chosen to wear. I'll have more pics later, right now it is dinnertime <3
Update (Sunday night 11:30 PM):
All 4 of the full trays (all items as one object) have been made, along with new bump and specular maps for all of them, and I've added all 4 tray color swatches for each style: Chinese, Japanese, Extravagant, and Western (I particularly love the miso soup on the Japanese tray, and the little cabbage rolls on the western one!) Tomorrow I will be liberating all of the individual items and I'm hoping I will be able to finish all of these by tomorrow evening. I hope everyone has had a nice weekend ๐

Here is what we have in preperation for part 4, & the final portion of the bug museum. This area contains little bug exhibits and a lab. The mesh files are absolutely enormous, as you can see. Lots and lots of items to make as individual decors, and make new image textures for (like usual when we are doing sets that are locations & part of an entire structure). I am going to need to mess with some of the pieces, to try to make it work in TS4 while still having things look like they do in ACNH. It is so fun, after all, to recreate these places and have our sims go and visit!
We will see what all I can actually get done today, as we have had ongoing renovations/construction in our apartments and apartment area. I don't think I've posted about it at all, but we've had to do a lot of work on our own to make way for the workers, it's been a giant pain in the butt and it's been exhausting. As of today my entire body hurts. But, sitting down to my CC-making time is always a highlight to my day! I'll likely get going on making the actual objects tomorrow, as these all need separating. I hope that everyone is having a nice week, I know things are crazy right now and I just wish to everyone agency and peace โจ๐บ๐ฆ
Update (Thursday evening):
Working on separating all of the little items one by one so that they are easier to import, when I want to use something I need to delete all of the other items in the huge mesh one by one, so this is part of my process. Here we have the cart that goes next to the line of items near the dung beetle cage. As you can see, all of the items together are extremely high poly. I will be liberating the cart and adding slots, and separating the clutter objects.
Update (Friday 1 PM):
Today we are celebrating a family member's birthday in our apartment. They've requested Christmas dinner for their birthday dinner, so I've got birthday things to attend to today. But, when we're all done I am planning on making some items for our set. Remember I am on CET timezone, so for my American patrons, when it's 10 PM for me, it's only 4 PM for you in the midwest and east coast, so hopefully I will have a fun update for everyone later!
Update (Friday night):
Added lots and lots of slots and an extra, lighter swatch. Added the bottom bottles, middle bin with cleaning items, and the top clipboard, and the jars all as separate items. I also liberated just the bucket stack and the spray bottle, with extra swatches. All items have new bump and specular maps, as well as new image textures.
Update (Saturday night):
I had a ton of cleaning up to do today, and finally I am able to sit down to my favorite hobby and make some CC for our set (the renovations are driving me nuts, and I cannot wait until things are back to normal). Here we have the little "plant corner" on the lower right side of the ACNH layout. There is a table, which I edited the mesh to be a bit taller, it was ridiculously small. I added yet another cactus to our overall ACNH plants collection, a venus flytrap, and another Monstera. This monstera is unique, however, as I've added a lot of fun swatches for the pot. I hope that you all are having a lovely, relaxing weekend! And for people who work on the weekends, I hope that your days go smoothly and your evenings are also relaxing.
Update (Saturday night/Sunday morning 2:45 AM):
Added the wooden plant floor. Added the tank that contains the wharf roach and the hermit crab. It still needs a tiny bit of tweaking to the mesh, but I love how this corner is turning out! What do you think, is the little table just a little too tall? Let me know, I can fix anything you wish! The tank has slots inside, to place the creatures. I will be adding the wharf roach to this set, & there are both hermit crabs and just their shells in the Tidepool Set. This tank took me absolutely for-ev-er, due to all the little pieces that needed to be combined, and brand new image textures (and bump/specular maps) for each item. I'm going to have to take a break for tonight, it's very late and the workers start making noise at like 6 in the morning. Goodnight everyone!
Update (Sunday early evening):
Added the Wharf Roach, and fixed the tank (mostly) as you can see above, there is a bit of a mapping issue that I'm having trouble figuring out, but I will fix it.
Update (Sunday night/Monday morning 2:15 am):
Got the mapping right on the first cage. Made a separate platform for the other 2 cages since there are two of them, the poly number would be ridiculous to include it all in one item. It has slots, as you can see the need a bit of tweaking, the two cages are butting up against each other. The scorpion and dung beetles are here, and the tarantula is here.
Update (Monday noon-ish):
I fixed the slotting on the platform for the 2 cages, so now they aren't butting up against each other. I neeeeeded to fix this as soon as I could today, but once again, I have a list of chores I need to get done before I can get back down to making more items for our set. (I also have multiple family birthdays to acknowledge and/or celebrate this month, so bear with me!) Don't worry though, I've noticed a pattern that whenever I have things interrupting or taking up more of my time, I get at least one day where I get to sit and make CC pretty much the entire day, so it will still be done in the usual timely fashion. Stay tuned a bit later today for more updates!
Update (Monday early evening):
So I've been working in Blender, removing pieces from the structure that we don't need, and are in the way of seeing what we've got here. There is a lot still to make. I've done so much today IRL, I'm exhausted and need to lie on the couch for a bit. If I attempt to make more objects right now I will just make stupid mistakes over and over, so it's best I wait until a bit later tonight. I hope everyone is having a nice day!
Update (Tuesday morning):
So I got right to work on these structure items. I have to say that this is the most difficult set I've worked on to date, due to the many pieces that go together for one item. I decided to separate the items for the ant exhibit, but there are sooo many pieces to this group of items. So, I've separated just the foliage, concrete blocks, stones, and tree trunks. I'm going to see if I can make this work as one item with edited image textures so allow for these 4 mesh groups to be one item. I want this set of items to be able to fit next to a wall that has been build with space left for the item, because it won't be able to go into the wall and have the items behind the glass showing, the wall will be in the way. It's a complicated process, so pardon my pace! I'm working in it, it's just requiring a bit of brainstorming. I might also have to figure out a different way to configure things, but I have ideas, so it's all good! I actually dreamt about this set last night ๐ I've included an additional image of the ACNH version of what we're working on right now so it's easier to see, since the Blender views have no image textures on them yet.
Update (Tuesday night/Wednesday morning 1:26 AM):
I finally got this item working. It is 2 separate items: The inside plants & decor, and the wall/windows. I made it to line up with the walls in game, and added a wall paint in build mode of the same wall color. I've added some slots for some insects inside, but I need to add some more. I cannot believe how much this one tied my brain into knots, I'm so glad that it's working now! I hope everyone likes how things are turning out. Much love ๐ ๐๐
Update (Wednesday early afternoon):
Updated the image texture so that the tunnels are a bit darker. Also added an ant insect, with an extra brown swatch. I sized them up once with the keyboard cheat in the above previews.
Update (late Wednesday night):
My partner and I have spent a lot of time today cleaning, and packing things down into boxes. For these renovations that our apartment place is doing, they are having people come to take pictures before certain things are done. So that was most of my day today. Oh, how I wish that we were allowed to opt out of this. But it is a historical building that there are rules about maintaining, so I guess that is part of the reason. The worst was taking heavy, heavy things to the trash. But! I finally got to do some CC-related things before I need to lie down, since they are coming sometime between the buttcrack of dawn and lunchtime (isn't that always how it goes? ๐๐๐) I hope you've all had a much calmer, easier day than I have. I am excited to work on our 3-cage exhibit, which I've posted some Blender pics above, of the edited mesh containing only those pieces. I think will be easier after having done the ant one and sort of have a process for all of the pieces they contain. Included above is another in-game ACNH image of the piece that I am currently working on.
Update (Thursday 1 PM-ish):
Our IRL responsibilities are done for the day, so that's out of the way. I've been working again on our next item, it's another complicated one but I feel like I know what I'm doing a little better with it after doing the ant one. I've added an image above from Blender, with all of the mesh pieces highlighted. These are all of the different pieces that need to be joined together. I will probably do the same way I did with the ant one and make the foliage separate and at the height that it needs to be so it can just be moved into place. The second item will be the tank, which, again will be able to be lined up with the in-game walls. In addition to this process, I make a new image texture for each mesh group, that includes only the pieces that are needed, which can also be from different images since there are so many. I then make a new bump and specular map for them as well. I just wanted to get a little more into explaining the process here, because I realize these tank items are taking me awhile, and I don't want anyone to think I've been putting it off. I've had things to get done IRL but it hasn't been taking very much time away from my CC stuff. & I'm still very excited to get the rest of the CC sets done after this one! It's coming along! Here is the foliage. It will look nicer in game, as I have the backface culling switched off, which doesn't show in Sims4Studio.
Update (4:15 PM):
Mostly finished this item now. It needs a small bit of tweaking to fit with the game for building, but here's basically what we have. I think I am going to have to add a part 5 to the bug museum, as I did not realize just how many items are within the lab area. I will still be making the glowing exhibit signs, some more plants, random decor items, and some more bugs, and if the sets get too humongous I've learned that it's much more complicated for me to get previews for everything for the posts. They're also more of a pain for people to go through. So I try not to make them much larger than 40 items, & we're now at 22 files. Anyway, after sitting here messing with this for hours, my brain feels like mush and my back hurts, so I'm going to lie down a bit and be back to this a little later!
Update (still Thursday, 10:40 PM):
Okay, so I fixed the mesh that that it will match up with the tall walls, and the general build. I added slots to the foliage item, but I need to tweak them a little bit. Stand-in preying mantis to show one of the slots.

I've been working on the signs, I'll have some preview pics of them tomorrow. It's late so I must try to lie down.
Update (Friday 11 AM):
I've been working on the little information signs, here is a preview of the first one (before I fixed the slotting better on the wooden platform, there are a lot of small slots now for the place for the sign to go) They've been made to glow at night/in the dark on the face plate.
Update (Friday a bit after 1 PM):
Added all 3 of the information signs that go next to the big displays. I changed the specular map on the long sign, because it just looked way too shiny to the point that at certain angles looked like it was a different color than the other one, and it especially stood out in the dark room view. This issue was only happening with this particular sign, I imagine due to the larger size making the shine more noticeable, because it looks pretty nice on the small ones. The slanted one that goes with the 3-cage item, and the long one are both made so that you can just raise them with the 0-9 keys to what height you want, and position it in front of the structure (or a wall) be careful not to place it too far back or it will disappear behind the structure. The pic including the yucca and snake plants, those two are from the Airport Set and are just stand-ins for the sake of our preview pics. I'm making the ones from this structure for our set, as they are in a different kind of pot. There are a few more items I want to make, and will be going over the video that I linked before to make sure I've not forgotten anything. The lab area will be part 5 of this set, which will be on our poll for next month. While going through the huge meshes file I had failed to realize just how many items are within the lab, so it really needs to be its own set. (I wrote about it above but just mentioning it again).
Update (Friday 3:30ish PM):
Added the trio of small lights that go above the 3-cage exhibit. This item gives off some light, and glows on the bulb. It is made the same way as the rest of the cage items where it is at the exact height it needs to be to line up where it needs to go.
Update (Friday night 10 PM-ish):
Added 2 versions of drains for the floor (footprint has been removed so they will not be in your sims' ways when they are walking around). Added the wall electrical outlet. Upon my last look-over, I noticed that I missed a mat that hasn't been made in any previous sets, so I need to make that, which I'm right in the middle of making that package file. I will try to get pics taken tonight, so I can edit/crop/add info and graphics tomorrow morning and get the set posted (Then I have another birthday of a loved one, and will be spending time with them for the rest of the day. I will be starting on the next poll winner (the cuisine trays) on Sunday.

Just a quick note, the greenhouse item in Bug Museum Part 2 has been updated with a new shadow mesh. The original shadow mesh was for the whole entire mesh. I changed it so that it only includes the frame, so that sunlight comes through the windows. File name is the same, just move & replace in your mods folder.

Here is the first item for the bug museum part 3 (the round butterfly exhibit room), the decor water fountain. It has lily pads in the water on 2 levels, and little planters on the sides. It's a higher poly item, with 10910 polygons.
A note on the poll: the 3rd voted for spot was a tie. I'm going to see if I can squeeze in both of the tied options anyway. I will do a Wheel of Names spin and post the results to see which one goes first.
Update (same day, 10:30 PM):
Made the wooden shelves for the potted plants and various items. There are 4 different ones. I've added a ton of slots to each of them, so any items can be placed wherever one wants. I also added a second, lighter swatch to each.
Update (Friday afternoon):
Added the first of the plants. This one has 2 different flower bloom colors by default, and I added some more swatches too. These items are again being taken from huge meshes with lots of items attached, and image files that have the textures for many items at once. I've taken the one item we need, and made a new image texture with just the parts from the original image that are needed, because huge files in the package will bloat the package file unnecessarily. I also added a new bump and specular map.
Update (Friday evening):
Added 8 more plants, an empty flower pot, and one of the seedling trays. Lots more to go!
Update (Friday night):
Added the bowl of water on a plate with little plants in the water. I added extra swatches of this item as well. If anyone wants some placeable animated butterflies, here is a item for that by Bakie on ModTheSims.
Update (late Friday night):
Added 4 more items: a second seedling tray that has plants growing in the cups, a tray of dirt, a watering can, and another plant. Extra swatches added to all items. I've positioned the shelves and items more to the way they are placed in ACNH so we can see where we are at. Still working through the plant decors โบ๏ธ๐บ
Update (1:33 am):
Added the curved planter that frames one of the entrances to this room. Made the round floor bricks as a rug, and a sand floor. Added a wall that I made out of some textures, to replicate the wire mesh windows. 24 items so far!
Update (4:00 am):
I tried to sleep, but I'm in pain tonight so that was a fail. I worked on the next items instead. I have made 2 windows with a translucent mesh window glass, like in ACNH. They let in light, and are partially see-through. There are 2 sizes, one is a bit taller. I also added an extra swatch to the build mode walls, in addition to a picture of the window, it has one that is just paint. It matches the real windows nicely.
Update (Saturday afternoon):
Added 2 versions of the wall leaf decor. They don't snap to the wall because the back is unevenly shaped, more appropriate for curved walls. They can be put into position with the 9-0 keys.
Update (Friday afternoon):
Added 4 hanging plant items, and the ring that floats above with vines and leaves on it. These items' heights are made in conjunction with one another, so that when you raise the ring with the 9-9 keys, you can raise the hanging baskets to the exact height you need as well and the strings will match up with the ring.
Update (Friday evening):
Added two gifs above to show the animated butterflies by Bakie (linked above). Added an entrance double door with the wire mesh in the glass, it is a remake of a base game door, so if you want just clear glass, that is available via base game. Edited the two skinny windows to be a bit more transparent.
Update (Friday night):
Added 1 more hanging planter, the one that is a slab of wood with 3 pots in it. Added extra swatches to this item too. I also added 3 slots to the curved ground planter for the small sign (bug museum set part 2) and the 2 little flower pots from this set. I think I'm ready to start double checking everything and getting things ready for the post, but I also have to try to go to sleep at a reasonable time tonight after my bad sleep last night (it is almost 9:30 pm where I am right now), so this set should be posted tomorrow! I'm loving the way this set has turned out, I hope you do too! ๐

Someone messaged me about a very old postcard valentine item that I did, it was a DEBUG menu postcard that goes on the in game cork board. For some reason it is not showing up in game, even with the bb.showhiddenobjects command. I have a feeling it may be related to the DX11 update for people who are using DX11 with their games, as this update has caused issues with some CC items.
I've tried to fix the original item, and also improved the image textures, but the person who wrote to me about it is still having an issue. The DX11 batch fix is something that I am very afraid to do on my own CC folder, since I am not using Dx11. From what I have read, if someone is not using DX11, they should not batch fix their CC folder for it, as it could create a big problem. I fix my CC when needed & update the downloads, but the DX11 fix is something I cannot run on my own game. I have written about this in some posts, but I'm putting it here for anyone who hasn't seen it,
Batch fixes are a tool in Sims 4 Studio that is very easy to use, and will repair any CC that may have needed to be fixed. Various batch fixes have come out for various game updates as time as gone on, so there are many useful ones. When you run it, it will fix any CC you have in your folder that needed the update you've chosen. Here is a link to a tutorial on how to download and install Sims 4 Studio, and here is another tutorial on how to do a batch fix, in case anyone wants to make use of this great tool.
So anyway, I made a new object from this item, that is just a non-DEBUG wall decor object. It won't snap to the cork board, but you can decorate the wall with them if you so desire.

Here is something I've been wanting to get started on for a really long time, the beginnings of conversions from Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. I had planned on resting my eyes a bit and getting some things done around home before the next month of CC, but this has just been calling my name. The image texture files are a bit weird and need editing/remapping, but after messing with it for awhile I've got this. Here is the makeup box item. It has a working mirror, and I've added some extra swatches for fun.
Also a sidenote, remember that there will be a new poll posted on the 3rd of March ( the monthly poll is usually posted on the 3rd of every month), so if you have an idea for a set that you'd like to have made, please let me know โบ๏ธ We're still making our way through ACNH items, the above set is just the beginnings of my endeavors for the other game, but I want to be ready when we run out of New Horizons items to make for our Sims.
Update:
Added the heart rug (with extra swatches) and the camera (with extra swatches).
Update (Thursday noon):
Added the honey jar, orange juice, and the mug with 2 versions: with and without steam. I added extra swatches to all 3 items.
Update (Friday morning):
Added 2 signs: the camp sign and the build site sign. Both of these were completely missing a back for the mesh, so I took some pieces from the front and added backs to them. Added the lemon and the pear, with an extra swatch for each.
Update (Saturday early afternoon):
Added the coconut and peach items. I made the watering can yesterday and forgot to get a pic, so that is also added above. Extra swatches added for the watering can.

A tip for building your boxing ring: I placed the corners and ropes and got that all lined up, before raising the platform a bit. I tried to build another one with the platform raised first, and the middle rope-only piece wants to snap to the higher floor, so make sure you do the raising after those are placed.

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well ๐ Here are the first few items for the next poll winner, the sports stuff. These are the "ball catchers", each type of ball has its own bump map (for shadow and indentations detail) so I have made 3 separate files for basketballs, footballs(soccer), and volleyballs. I've also added a few extra swatches for each.
Update (late Tuesday night):
Okay, big update! Sized down the ball catchers, the balls inside were way too big next to a deco sim so I made them look more proportionate. Added lots of individual balls, basketball, gridiron football, soccer football, volleyball, and this pile of baseball items which I've made as a cluster (the original mesh) and added liberated items as well. Added the boomerang, wall and decor clutter versions, and the soccer football goal net. Added some extra swatches to some of the items.
Update (5 am Wed. morning):
Added 2 versions of the bicycle (city cycle): adult & child sizes. Added the mountain bike in both the wall version and the standing version. All of the bikes have many swatches. Added the basketball net, and another version of it that is a wall object. I tried to make a functional version with the City Living basketball net as a base, but it has some weird vertex group issue. I will look at those two items in the future to see what it is I need to adjust for them to work, but for now I want to get the rest of the items done for this set. I also added the baseball mitt chair, it is a living chair. After this set is done I will be moving straight on to the next dolls set (and I have a small surprise to post). Next for our current set, I am making the skateboard items.
Update (6:30 am Wed. morning):
Added the skateboard (has tons of swatches) and the skateboard rack for the wall (has 4 swatches).
Update (9 am Wed. morning):
Added the gridiron rug, decor helmets in both adult and child size, with a couple extra swatches, and the wall pennant flags. Added the dojo wall, and 2 floors: the sumo arena floor and the wrestling mat floor, which I have put on a platform in the preview image above. Both floors were 1 large image, so I split them into 25 pieces that go together like a puzzle.
Update (5 am Thursday morning):
Added the rope parts of the boxing ring so they can be placed around a platform (bb.moveobjects on). I'm just tying up the loose ends for this set, and I will get pics for the post!
Update (7:45 am):
Added the drapes that go on the bottom of the boxing ring, it is 2 items. Raised the platform a bit. Added the judge's bell (with some extra swatches). Still getting pics!

Here are the first two items for our poll winner (Bug Museum Part 2! Set up on my Paradise Planning lot for now) I had to mess with the greenhouse entrance structure for awhile at the same time as the tile floor you see on the inside. I wanted it to be the same width and length exactly for placing any kind of floor one wishes. I've added a bunch of extra swatches for this structure frame. The file floor has 4 swatches that are the 4 split parts of the original image. You can cover the entire floor with one swatch, or you can add different ones wherever you want. I've placed the entrance planter from Part 1 to show the size/dimensions of the structure. It has no footprint, otherwise sims wouldn't be able to stand inside of it, but if you would like to create a trail for them to walk so that they aren't walking straight through it, you can use this awesome invisible fence cc by Bakie on ModTheSims.
Update (a bit later, Friday night):
Added the long entrance rug (and a couple extra swatches), and I made the stone path in 2 versions: as a floor, and as a terrain paint.
Update (Friday about midnight):
Added the 2 mats that go in the other entrances. I've added a couple extra swatches to the coir mat. I have made this mat already in another set, but it is a different size that doesn't go with what we are doing here so I remade it for this set. We want things to look right, after all โบ๏ธ
Update (late Friday night):
Working on the other doorway greenhouse that is in the back of the area, it's smaller and square-ish. I'm still messing with it, as you can see above the mapping is a bit weird on the top portion. I need to go to bed soon, so I will continue on our set tomorrow ๐ I hope everyone has had a nice week.
Update (Saturday early evening):
I have been spending almost all afternoon messing with this next item, the 3rd entrance that is in the back of the structure. It's giving me a lot of issues, from wildly incorrect mapping, to the back of the object having nothing showing up because it's only meant to be seen from the front in ACNH. But I'm working on it, and it will look nice when I am finished with it. Above are some pics of it as is at the moment, I have already made some changes but it's still obviously not acceptable.
Update (Saturday evening):
O-Kay. I have take pieces from all over this item and filled in all of the gaps with those pieces. It no longer has completely invisible areas that make it look weird from behind, which I know when placed doesn't show at all, but it was really bothering me and I also thought it might make it annoying when trying to place. So that is all fixed now. I also tweaked the length and width a little more, so that it will fit exactly with the tiles you may choose to place inside and outside of the structure. I added extra swatches again to this one, it has all the same ones as the greehouse-looking entrance structure. Also like that one, this item has no footprint, again the invisible fence mod (linked above) is amazing for CC items like this, where you want your sims to be able to walk underneath them thus removing the footprint, but still don't want them to walk straight through them.
Update (Saturday night):
Working on the rope partitions, there are 3 of these items (shown #1 above). I have included a preview gif from in Blender, the blinking orange is where the mesh for this item is lying on the image, so as you can see it's way way too big for what we need. As usual with items like this, I'm making a new texture file with just the portions needed so that it isn't so large and bloating our file.
Update (late Saturday night):
Added all 3 of the rope partitions, they are not in the places they go in ACNH, except the one to the right of the entranceway structure. These are the rope partitions that are not part of deck pieces. I'm not making the deck pieces from this structure, because sims will not be able to walk on them. I will look at the image texture for them and see if I can make floors to look like the material though.
Update (Saturday night/Sunday morning 1:30 am):
Added the wooden arrow sign, the floor vent (just one, they can be lined up to make the longer one), and the large planter toward the back left of the structure behind the bench. The planter has a bunch of slots.
Update (Sunday approx. 6 am):
I've had an awful stomach ache all night long, so I've been going from the couch to the computer, when it lets up I go back to making our items. It's a pain! lol. A note about having a chronic illness that causes pain, it literally starts to become more annoying than anything. I don't want to be lying on the couch, I'm excited about this set and want to keep going! But if you've noted that I've been a little slow rolling out the items, it's part of the reason. The other part is that this is another set that requires liberating items and creating new image textures that contain just the areas needed from a much larger image. Taking care in making sure everything looks nice! Here above, we have another preview of the planter, I have added a bunch more slots. I think I might add even more, I'm really happy with how this item has turned out with the use of the plants from Part 1 of this category. I've also made the small little sign that goes in the plant areas. There are a lot of little name plate items like this (mostly for the walls) I'm looking forward to making those tomorrow. It's 6 am, I've been up all night, so I am going to make a cup of tea and try to get some sleep. More to come tomorrow!

Update (Sunday night):
Today I've been working on the item pictured above, this large exhibit tank. It has a top water mesh, but nothing behind the glass, as shown above, so I am adding some to make it look normal. The transparency of the water needs some tweaking as you can see as well, there are fish placed in the previews but you just can't see them that well! So I will do that if I can get it to work. There seems to be a very fine threshold to making an item more transparent, it gets to a point where the piece just turns invisible, so I will mess with it. I adjusted the mesh to be the same length on both sides in the back open area, and this item is made to be adjacent to a wall. I've used a half wall in the preview images above. The fish in the tank I'm using for testing are from the Aquarium Set 2. I have made 4 aquarium sets, so if you search the main page for "aquarium" they should all come up. Also in the above preview, you can see that the dimensions are a little off. I want this item to fit perfectly with the floor squares, to allow any type of flooring to be used inside the tank (dirt, sand, tiles, whatever). So this is where I'm at with this item right now, I just wanted to post an update since this one is taking me awhile. It was in a million pieces and needed a ton of editing.
Update (Tuesday 4:15 am):
So I finally have this tank exhibit where I want it. It needed the back area fixed also (another item that was made to only be seen from the front in ACNH). I corrected the dimensions, so that they are exact when placing a ground tile, so that anything can be placed (dirt, sand, whatever you like. Shown above is a dirt floor that I made long ago), and added water behind the glass so it looks like it makes sense. I messed with the transparency of the water, but the more clear I tried to make it, it just lightened the caustic details, and left the level of what we can see through the water. I tried so many times, and different techniques, but this seems like our best option here in the pic. There is a pic above with both the glass and water visible to show, raising the transparency more makes things invisible. I've placed cat tails from Part 1 of this set, raised by 2 notches with the 0 9 key keyboard trick. This item has been a doozy, getting it to be user friendly for the sims, it's taken me all afternoon-night. Since it's approaching 4:30 am I am taking a break for the night. I wanted to get some of the presumably more difficult items done first, since they weigh on my anxiety concerning if I will be able to do it, so I am glad these bigger items are finished. I'm excited to work on some hopefully easier things tomorrow!
Update (Monday afternoon):
Added a floor tile that is for making the wooden deck and bridge areas. I'm trying my best to make things doable for TS4, with what we have from ACNH. The deck pieces are in the structure that I have, but they are large, there are many, and sims will not be able to walk on them. So I supposed that making it a floor tile that can be added wherever would be the best solution. We want our sims to be able to tour the museum, after all. I also added 2 more terrain paints, and 2 more floor tiles for 2 different grassy textures that have flowers.
Update (Monday evening):
Added some more floors and terrain paints of grass and dirt (not pictured yet) and the sticks that are sticking up out of the water by the bridge in ACNH. I made 4, because one was a repeat of the same mesh.
Update (late Monday night/very early Tues morning):
Added a dirt floor with 2 swatches, one has more gravel, and 2 terrain paints for each of these swatches. Added one of each type for a plain grass, as well. Added 5 barrier objects, if you look at the museum in ACNH you will see them appearing around the river. 35 items made so far! ๐โบ๏ธ It's about 4 am for me right now, so tomorrow I am going to make a couple more items I have prepared, and look over the main museum area and make sure there isn't anything that I'm missing. This set has taken a lot of brainstorming, both in making things the most useful for TS4 in the way I'm making them, and the splitting up of sets and how many sets to make. At this point in the project it's easier for me to see, the entire bug museum collection needs to be 4 sets in total. After this one, there is still the round greenhouse (with the fountain) to do, and the lab area with the hall on the outside with bug exhibits and cages (and tables, plants, all sorts). After set 2 is finished, I'll do the sports items, and I will get some more dolls made, but I am hoping I will have enough time to at least get started on items for set #3. It will also be on the poll for March. That poll will also have a choice to make set #4 right after 3 is done.
Update (late Tuesday night):
I have been tweaking our big water tank for forever today. Since it needed so many little fixes and sections added, upon closer inspection I saw a lot of holes. So I would make adjustments, load my game and test it, notice more issues, and repeat. But I finally have it looking normal. Then, I added another version of this tank that has all 4 sides so it doesn't have to be right up against a wall, if desired. It's just nice to have the variety. Now, I'm sitting here staring at this Blender file of the mesh for the entire path curbs (above). I'm trying to figure out the best way to make a few of these so they can be used to make the path edges.
Update (Wed. morning 6:30 am):
Instead of moving straight on to those curbs, I decided to make the large planter that holds the giant oak tree near the back of the building. Loving how that item is turning out, I need to lower the entire mesh a tiny bit because I accidentally made it floating a small distance above the ground, but that will take 5 seconds to fix. My main concern is something is going on with the dirt portion mesh and it's got that shadowy look diagonally on the right side. Looks bad. I will be fixing that.
Update (Wed morning 7:45 am):
So I redid this dirt mesh, and remapped it, trying to get rid of these weird lines. The shadowy part was fixed, but now we have this issue. I've concluded that there's just something with this portion of the mesh. I have been up all night working on these, so I am probably going to have to take a little break, but this dirt problem will be the first thing I do when I get back to it. Then on to the curb items.
Update (Wednesday early evening):
I finally got the dirt fixed and it looks like it's supposed to. I added a completely different mesh to it, and remapped it to the dirt. Between that item and the water tanks, I am at the point where I am looking forward to this portion of this location being finished, lol ๐
I believe the last thing I need to make are smaller versions of the "curb" in some pieces, that can be arranged around a path in TS4, and there is one little sign (the small black ones that go in the flower beds) that goes near the waterfall, it's taller than the other ones, so I will add that too. Update (Wednesday evening):
Okay, so I have made 12 different curb objects, to piece together to make the pathway curbs. The original mesh had no end piece to these meshes, so they are open at the ends, needing to go up against another curb or object to cover the open end. Added the taller version of the info sign. We have 50 items for this set, now I just need to get pics for the post.

Above is one piece of a small set I've been working on, I spent my CC-making time the past few days preparing files for fitness and sports items. As usual the item mesh is adjusted to look normal next to sims, the image texture has been improved where I can, and it has new bump and specular maps. Right now I am working on the fitness set, and will probably put the sports items set as an option on our poll. I am planning to have the fitness items posted by the day that the poll is over, when I will start working on the poll winner โบ๏ธ

Update (Sunday night):
Added the kettlebell with all original swatches and a few more extra, and the radio in a box, which is functional. I added a dark wood version to this item.
Update (Monday night):
Added the bench press, with a couple more extra swatches, and the dumbell. The bench press works as a living chair.
Update (very late Mon/very early Tue):
Added 4 more items: the exercise ball (chair), pull-up stand, exercise bike, and exercise mat decors.
Update (Tuesday early evening):
No new preview pics yet, I just need to write a quick notice before it happens again(?), that my internet has been going off and on all day. Just a preemptive note just in case I am unable to post an update. I'm still working on our set. Hopefully they will fix whatever is going on at the internet store and there will be no hiccup in our updates for today.
Update (Tuesday night):
Added the yoga mat, one is functional and requires Spa Day. The other 2 are base game compatible decor and are the 2 different states of the functional one, flat and rolled. All of them have 4 swatches, I added 3 more in addition to the default.
Update (late Tuesday night/very early Wed. morning):
Added 2 punching bag decor items, extra swatches for both.

Added the treadmill decor, with all original and some extra swatches. I've had a lot to do IRL the first week of this month, so it has been extra nice to sit quietly working on our items at the end of the day. I will have more free time for our poll winners so those items will be coming out quicker. I hope everyone is having a good week! ๐ If you haven't yet voted in the poll for this month, go vote :D

Added 2 locker items, one will only snap to the ground, and has a size 2 deco slot for the second locker so they can be stacked. The y an also be moved up and down the wall with the 0 and 9 keys. Both have some size 1 deco slots on top as well. All original swatches, and I added a gray one too.

Added the gym floor. Since it is from 1 large image, this is another puzzle-like floor, the original image has been evenly split into 25 different swatches to create the floor piece by piece, for any room size that you wish. There are 20 total items, I believe that is all for this set unless anyone has something that they would like me to add (doesn't have to be from Animal Crossing) Otherwise I will be working on images for the post โบ๏ธ It is 3 in the morning right now for me, so I will get started on it, but the shots need cropping and graphics/notes added, and swatch previews, so the post will probably be up tomorrow.

Someone alerted me to a small issue on the change tray item, the item was showing up in game with the bright neon pink, purple and blue texture. This issue happens when the image texture is off by a few pixels. I fixed it, and updated the files.

Here are some items that I've slowly been working on for Valentine's Day. I am hoping to post them at the very beginning of February so that people have time to use them for their themed posts. So far we have a rose in a transparent glass vase (many swatches), a single rose lying down, a dessert, a floating candle ornament, and 2 drink beverages, with 2 straws, how romantic. One has whipped cream and a cherry, and one is without that part (also many swatches each).

(added some more items, shown above. A love potion with different colors of liquid inside, another bottle, and there is an extra pic that shows some more of the swatches.

Added a small round vase, with short roses, and another one with plumeria flowers. The plumeria have just those 2 swatches, the roses and have many swatches.

Here I've added a divine feminine statue, and 2 versions of some cute diaries: one as a lying down book, and the other as a retail display.

Added an upright version of the diary, and a koala plushie holding a heart.

Added 2 candy bowls, each for a different kind of candy because the candies are different meshes. The strawberry candy item is 10870 poly. I've added some extra swatches for the glass bowls.

I had to go to bed last night, but as I have my morning coffee I'm working on our Valentine's-themed set again. Next I have a preview pic of a ceiling sign, decorated with love & Valentine's swatches, 3 swatches are shown above.

I learned something new! I added a 3D gift shop sign that glows at night/in the dark. I am still tweaking the darker color on the edges to give it better detail, but I am so excited about this item!

Tweaked the image texture to make the outer edges a bit darker, I think it looks much better this way. Here are all the swatches!

Added 2 heart neons and 2 stars neons. Finalized all tweaks, then added a simlish version of the "gift shop" sign. I think I might post these as their own little mini set later.
Update (Sunday early afternoon):
Added 2 more items: photo albums with a framed photo on top. It comes in two versions, with the frame in landscape position, and the frame in portrait position. I used a couple photos of the Goths, but the item is very easily recolorable to add pictures of your own sims!
Update (Sunday evening):
I've been working on these two items for awhile, they were giving me some issues: 2 more potion bottles (the tags are in different positions). I am going to be recoloring them a bit more, and I don't really like the level of opaqueness on the transparent glass, but when I lighten it too much it turns invisible, so I have to find the perfect threshold for that. I hope everyone is having a nice day ๐

The SFS download option does not have a zipped file of all of the items as of yet, the website has been having an ongoing issue of timing out in the middle of uploads.
