Hey everyone!
The next update for Linda is out now! The 'Close-call' theme continues in Beta 0.15 is Julie starts growing suspicious of Linda's very unusual circumstances in the house. It's only a matter of time before the secrets get revealed and I can sense we're very very close to that point!
In order to experience the new content, you'll need to continue progressing through Linda's story as normal. Once you've completed the events in her casual outfit from a previous update, make sure she's back in her regular clothes and continue talking to her. The new events should progress like usual.
There are also new on-screen scenes that will unlock after a certain point. These scenes contain a couple of variations as well so I hope you enjoy experimenting and viewing them all! They were quite a lot to put together but I'm very happy with how they turned out, especially the chair scene ;)

Hey everyone!
Sorry for such a lengthy wait for the release date announcement but now I've got a clear enough roadmap on the rest of this week.
== Release Date ==
House Chores - Beta 0.15 will release on Wednesday September 27th for all $5+ House Chores Patrons!
However, due to my other game, Zombie's Retreat 2 having a planned release later this week, the public release for HC Beta 0.15 will be Monday October 2nd.
A bit of an extended early release/test window for patrons just to make sure I don't unnecessarily busy up the rest of my week. I'll probably need to do bug fixing during that time while still finishing up ZR2.

Here's a first look at the brand new full NSFW scene coming in the next update for House Chores!
The theme behind these updates recently has been close call encounters. So this particular moment is Linda's close call almost getting discovered by Julie. Discovering what exactly? The type of soap Linda uses for her excellent smooth skin, of course!

Hey everyone!
Today I wanted to share some info about the release of the next House Chores update!
== Release Window ==
House Chores - Beta 0.15 is planned to release next month in mid-late September!
I don't have a specific date confirmed just yet. September is shaping up to be quite a busy month for me but I will keep you all up to speed once I have a set date/weekend in mind.
== Linda Content ==
With this update, Linda will be receiving 3.5 new NSFW scenes! One full scene and 2 on-screen scenes. One of these on-screen scenes will have the ability to change poses too (hence the .5) So Linda will be getting quite a boost of different interactions to enjoy!
This update is a mix of "close-call" encounters, similar to the previous update, and also some new general interactions and special moments with Linda.

Short little update today but I know some people will be happy to know this update is arriving a little sooner than usual!

Hey House Chores Patrons!
The other day, I realized something was lacking in House Chores. There's been no kissing content!!
That is absolutely unacceptable around these parts. So starting with this upcoming HC update, expect to see a little more smooching in the HC House!
This on-screen scene is another fun moment between the main character and Linda as they find a way to pass the time. This update will add a few other moments like this as well as another 'close-call' encounter similar to the previous update with Emily.

Hey everyone!
Here's your regular dose of House Chores news! This time, I'll be sharing a first look at what's to come with the new Beta 0.15 update featuring Linda.
== Beta 0.15 ==
Linda will be in the spotlight with this update as more sneaky shenanigans continue to ensue around the house.
Similar to Emily playing around dangerously close to Linda in the previous update, Linda will have some similar experiences with Julie. The main difference, however, is that with Julie's dirty mind, her deduction skills might be a little more precise ;)
Additionally, Linda will receive a few more on-screen scenes to add some more general activities in the house. One of these is actually being drawn by the original House Chores artist so some of you may notice a subtle throwback in coloring/shading for one of the scenes!

With all three women in the House Chores residence now all up to some naughty shenanigans, it's only natural that they're starting to get more bold and reckless. It's only a matter of time until the secret's out...
In this update, Emily has some new events in her main storyline that involve some very sneaky and silly moments! To reach the new content, you just need to talk to Emily like usual and things should continue progressing forward.
Additionally, on-screen scenes are getting a bit of a boost with the new scene as well as Linda's kitchen scene having a new zoom feature. I think this helps show off some of the finer details of those moments. I'll be working on most/all of the older on-screen scenes so they gain this feature too. Along with some more additional dialogue options and enhancements.

It's finally here! The long-awaited laundry machine update!
This update's been a pretty funny one to work on. This is the first update that really just feels like one giant parody. I'm having a lot of fun working on these 'close-call' sorts of scenes now that the entire house is up to mischievous shenanigans.
To begin the new content, you need to have completed Emily's main storyline. From there, talking to her should continue the events like normal. This update is mostly about finding the events when & where they happen so if you're stuck, the dialogue should point you in the right direction.
One additional feature in 0.14 is the ability to zoom in and out of the new on-screen scene. I plan on going back and adding this feature to all or most of the previous on-screen scenes. It will take some time because some of these scenes will be reworked and improved a little bit as well, including some additional dialogue so I hope you're looking forward to that!

Hey everyone!
Sorry for the past few weeks being quiet in updates. Been a busy month, but fortunately, today I wanted to share that the official release date of the new House Chores update will be Friday, July 28th for $5+ HC Patrons! The public/free release will be on Monday, July 31st!
There's been quite a lot going on behind the scenes so I definitely need the max amount of time this month to get everything done without too much stress. I'm also working on a new game called Kingdom of Passion (shameless self-promo) So I'm hoping to get an Alpha build of that game up and running soon!
== What's Next? ==
One thing I've been thinking about a lot is what the theme of the next update will be. Originally, I was planning on an update focusing on both Linda & Julie. As you'll soon find out with Beta 0.14, the women in House Chores are starting to get a little... suspicious...
But the more I think about it, the next release will probably be around September/October. This year, I was hoping to do a Halloween update so I'm still contemplating on which theme to focus on next. I'll probably do a poll soon to gauge interest in that. But feel free to leave a comment here about what you're most excited to see next!

Hey everyone!
Today's update is a short one but I wanted to update you all and let you know that the next House Chores update is scheduled to release later this month!
I'm targeting either the 21st or 28th of July for $5+ Patrons! It's mostly dependent on balancing my schedule and getting everything finished in a timely manner. As usual, once we get closer to that time frame, I'll announce the finalized release date!
Art has concluded for this new update. All that's left is some animation and I'm still putting it all together. However, art is beginning for the following update with a fun on-screen scene for Linda!

Hey everyone!
Figured I'd update you all on progress while simultaneously showing a bit of a teaser for some fun upcoming content!
Progress on the next House Chores update is moving along, however, it will still require a bit more time as art is still in progress. The previously teased scene has quite a few different variations and expressions so that's caused it to take a little longer than usual.
Additionally, here's a teaser of an upcoming on-screen scene as well for Emily! After deciding to work on some chores, disaster strikes! Gee, I hope she's okay! It would be terrible if she got stuck, right..?

Hey everyone!
The Spring Update?! That's so old news by this point, right? - Emily
It's already time to start looking forward to the next update of House Chores, Beta 0.14!
== Emily ==
Beta 0.14 is going to continue the focus on Emily!
The main 'theme' of the update is just ensuring that Emily has a couple of fun new interactions around the house. One in particular will be in the laundry room. Make sure you read the warnings on those washing machines! People around the neighborhood have been getting stuck!
Laundry room shenanigans are only one part of the update. The rest of the content is still being determined but I would like to include a stealthy situation as well. I think the game could use more sneaky moments.
== Group Activities ==
This next update is going to probably be the last solo update for a while. Looking ahead at Beta 0.15 and beyond, there is going to finally be the introduction of group 'activities'. I'm sure you all know what this means.
Secrets cant be kept forever right? ;)

This event is a bit of a short & sweet update, similar to Linda's Holiday event two years ago!
To begin the new event, you'll need to have first reached the first "home-run" scene with Emily. Then, during the Morning, Day, or Evening time slots, you'll see a new cutscene in the Hallway.
Holiday events are a personal favorite of mine so seeing Emily in a cute bunny costume was a nice way to add some unique interactions and events within the game! I hope you all enjoy this cute little side story as well! I'm eyeing Halloween as the next potential holiday to get a House Chores event but that one might require quite a bit more planning. Seeing the 3 lovely ladies in Halloween costumes would be quite a treat ;)

The Spring update has arrived with Emily receiving a cute little costume and event to celebrate!
This event is very similar to Linda's Holiday event back in December of 2021. In order to access the new content, you'll need to have seen Emily's first "home-run" scene and then anytime during the Morning, Day, or Evening, an automatic cutscene should occur in the Hallway.
I hope you all enjoy this short & sweet update!
Because another one my games (Sexy Quest) is finishing up next month, I wanted to work on a House Chores update that was relatively easy to develop for so a seasonal update fit the mold perfectly! If you're craving more Emily content, Beta 0.14 will continue to focus on her and will bring in some more story continuation and of course, NSFW scenes so I hope you're looking forward to that!

Looking back on old posts, it looks like I never officially announced a release window for the spring update for House Chores!
== Release Timing ==
This new update is planned to release this weekend for $5+ House Chores Patrons! I'm aiming for Friday, April 28th but I might require an extra day or two to cleanly wrap the update up so keep that in mind if you don't see the update right away.
Beta 0.13 will release for the public/free launch 3 or 4 days after the $5+ release. So if the update releases on Friday, the public release would be on Monday.
== Update Contents ==
I want to remind everyone that this update is a fairly short & sweet seasonal update. It's very similar to the holiday update with Linda a couple years ago. It will feature a spring-themed bedroom for Emily as well as a new outfit and scene for her!
For those craving a bit more Emily content, in case you missed the initial announcement, Beta 0.14 (the next update) will continue to feature new interactions for Emily! I have a few fun ideas for that update including some classic shenanigans in the laundry room. I hope no one gets stuck in such a dangerous place! ;)

Hey everyone!
It's been a little while since I've posted an update. So today, let's talk about the current progress of the spring update as well as a possible release window that I'm looking at!
== Progress Report ==
The art for the update is moving along very well. There is 1 NSFW scene for this update and it's complete so I'll be sharing a teaser of that in the next week or two for $3+ HC Patrons!
But the 'clickable' of Emily as well as a cute little spring themed bedroom is in the works as you can see in the attached image! No, she won't look that 'sketchy' in the final version ;P
== Release Window ==
My hope is to have this update out by the end of the month and so far, that does seem doable!
Usually, it takes about 3 months to complete a typical House Chores update. There's just a lot of little things that need to be drawn that still take a long time. With this spring update, the goal was to create a pretty light-weight update to shorten the wait down to 2 months. Not every update will be like this but hopefully I can help break up the wait from time to time by getting some '2-month updates' done.
Over the next week I should have a better idea on how much time I may still need so stay tuned for a more clear announcement!

Today is the first day of spring so it's the perfect time to reveal the details for the Spring Update in House Chores, Beta 0.13!
== Beta 0.13 ==
This new update of House Chores features a brand new seasonal outfit for Emily! After changing into the outfit, some of her daily activities might change and offer up naughty interactions!
== Double Dose of Emily ==
I know there are a lot of Emily fans out there. So I'm planning on bringing you all two back to back updates focusing on her! Beta 0.14 will also include new NSFW scenes for Emily. The overall theme of the update hasn't been decided quite yet so I'll wait until after the spring update to share more info about that.
For those wanting to see more of Linda or Julie, don't worry, I plan to revisit them both soon after ;)

House Chores has been updated to Beta 0.12.3 for some important bug fixes & adjustments!

After receiving a suspiciously large amount of reports for Julie's storyline, I went through her story and tried to find any bugs or sequence breaks:
-I found a couple unintended bugs before the Couples Yoga scene so I made some changes to when Julie appears in the kitchen. Now she only appears there AFTER the Couples Yoga scene
-Added some more dialogue hints so it should be way more obvious what you need to do next at certain points. Whether that's exercise some more, continue romancing her, or talk to her at a specific time
-Smaller tweaks as well that should just help make the progression feel more natural and less tedious with heart requirements
(I'm leaving Beta 0.12.2 up for a day just in case Beta 0.12.3 introduces some new crazy bug)

With this new update, Julie's main storyline has a short continuation from the prior events. Now that your relationship has blossomed, Julie finds herself bored being cooped up in the house all summer.
When spontaneously plans go awry, you'll have to get creative with your backup plans. Fortunately, Julie is quite flexible ;)
To access this new update's content, continue talking and interacting with Julie until she begins to talk about being bored staying at home. You'll have to make sure you've already had your 'home-run' moment with her as well.
In addition to the main story update, Julie also has two new on-screen scenes that can be accessed at different times of the day once your relationship with her has progressed far enough!

Additionally I updated the original download links to Beta 0.12.2.
House Chores - Beta 0.12
Some users were reporting that Julie's story wasn't progressing properly and eventually getting stuck on certain dialogues that didn't make sense.
I found a sequence break to her story fairly early on (occurring right after she mentions buying workout equipment). This primarily affected new save files so saves that were carried over with Julie's story already past this point should be fine.
Beta 0.12.2 fixes this. Unfortunately, there's no retroactive fix. I worry that trying to fix affected saves could risk making things messier. I apologize for the troubles but thank you so much to those who reported the bug my way.
If I find there are any other major issues with Julie's story progression, I will likely delay the public release by one day to compensate for the issues. If it's fine now, the release will still be on Monday.

Hey everyone! Just a reminder, the newest version of House Chores - Beta 0.12 went live earlier today for $5+ HC Patrons.

I just updated the download links to Beta 0.12.1 to fix a small but important bug involving Julie in the morning. If you select the 'private show' option and she no longer returns to the kitchen, going to sleep at night should fix the issue! Since a new on-screen scene is tied to this location, it felt like an urgent fix.

Julie's storyline has some more continuation after the climactic events of her last update!
This time, Julie's found herself bored after staying in the house for so long this summer. When a spontaneous plan goes awry, it's up to you to help cheer her up and sweep her off her feet!
In addition to the main storyline additions, Julie has two new on-screen scenes that you can view when your relationship with her has progressed far enough. After a certain point in her story, her morning location moves to the kitchen. Finally, she's shaken the habit of sleeping in for so long!
Overall, this was a fun update to work on. I wanted to provide a little more insight into Julie's character so hopefully that's conveyed within the update. She's quite dramatic so it's fun writing for her in these unique situations!

Hey everyone!
Short update today but I just wanted to let you all know that I am aiming to release the next update of House Chores at the end of this week.
However, the art is still not finished yet. It should be done by the end of the week, but I can't guarantee that at this very moment. So just keep that in mind.
As long as everything wraps up smoothly, I'll be eyeing a Friday (Feb 24th) & Monday (Feb 27th) release for $5+ Patrons and public release respectively.

Hey everyone!
Today's update is a pretty brief one but I just wanted to keep people up to date with the general progress of the update.
== Release Date/Widow ==
The exact release date is still undetermined but I do know I want to have the update released by the end of this month. So that final week of February is pretty likely.
As cool and fitting as a Valentine's Day release would be, I don't think that will be possible. So let's all agree to push the holiday back by a couple weeks this year ;)
== Spring Update ==
Looking forward to the next update, I think it will be a seasonal event!
The artist for House Chores is currently on vacation and while art is still on schedule, I want to make sure they have enough room to breathe when returning. A shorter seasonal update that doesn't require a ton of new art assets should be a good way to accomplish that while still keeping updates rolling at a steady pace for players to enjoy!
Why am I telling you all of this? Because otherwise this progress report is incredibly short and boring! But also, I want people to know that the amount of content per update may vary to keep things moving smoothly.
I hope you don't mind this little detour. It's still in early planning but I have some fun ideas I'm considering for the theme!
