The Revenant Clause

In March of 1945, a few weeks before his defeat, Grindelwald meets with his half-sister to tell her that he has a feeling that he may be captured or killed soon.
He then instructs her to go find someone who owes him a favour and he will help her in her quest to keep his legacy going. That someone is a kid by the name of Vesper. She contacts him and vows to keep Gellert’s mission alive.
In the summer of 1982, Grindelwald’s sister goes to Lily and James secretly and she asks them to do something that they don’t agree upon. Had they agreed, it would’ve led to a future depicted in one of my other stories.
In the autumn of 1982, James Potter is mysteriously killed and Lily has some idea of how he died so she takes Harry and his younger sister Rose away to France where she, by a twist of fate, becomes friends with the Delacours. Quietly mourning the death of Harry’s twin who also died on the night that James did, she enrols Harry in the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic by a fake name and the remaining Potters live carefree and hidden in France. Harry also becomes friends with Fleur very early-on.
There will be some childhood and some time skips to come to the relevant portions.
There will be new friends, new allies, and villains that are more cunning than Voldemort. The Triwizard Tournament happens in 1994 and Champions from Hogwarts and Durmstrang are killed while Fleur lives. Who saved her?
Why was running away the only option? What happens when Lily, Harry and Rose return to Britain in 1996? What made them return?
A few years of peace later, something happens that makes them return to Britain again but this time, the Potters are not unprepared.
