Jimmy's demon

Little character sheet for Jimmy's previous pact demon. It never had a name, Jimmy just called it demon. 

He's a bit like a large newt. A very deformed newt. As far as demons go he had a very calm nature, was always curious and inquisitive. (He will fuck your shit up though with no remorse if you threaten him, those claws aren't just for show.)

The poison he excretes is not immediately deadly, it has a paralyzing effect. Makes your muscles numb. In large doses it will cause nerve damage, however. Many people react allergic to it too, so touching him will most likely give you hives. Too bad, he might enjoy a hug?

Jimmy mostly used his previous demon as clean-up crew. Rarely had to send him into the fray directly, as Jimmy specialized in taking out human opponents with his mind powers first. He could intensify fears for example, that's why the guy on the previous page was hallucinating snakes. Latent ophidiophobia, maximized into a full psychosis.

Jimmy as a fresh agent, taking down a body shop. And i don't mean cars. It's more like Breaking Bad, but with less meth and more corpses. Illegal talisman creation, demon summoning devices, etc.

Drawing Jimmy all messed up has been my cathartic pleasure for a couple days.

Yeah, i enjoy myself drawing some abuse, gore and/or guro on occasion.

I don't draw it often, but there might be occasional violent art here too. :U Just a fair warning, though if you've been following my art for a while you should already be aware, haha.

(It wasn't Jag who beat him up btw, Jag only beats on his ego not his body. Whenever he's really depressed, Jimmy has a taste for picking fights with the wrong people. Just to make him feel something. ;w;)

A quick update on Jagged Jimmy.

The story is getting rather large, so i will start putting them into chapters from now on. Mostly for structural reason. It won't change anything about the story itself or upload schedule, it should just make it easier to read. Better pacing overall. :>

I'm also gonna retroactively sort the already existing pages into chapters. That'll take a while, haha. 200 pages already? When did that happen.

The early years of the demon near-apocalypse were harsh. Zofia was still young and in the middle of it all, she lost a lot of people.

genuine concern from Zofia.

she didn't spy much on him over the last 5 years, despite worrying about him. she tried in the beginning, she wanted to persuade him to come back, but eventually she gave up, Jimmy knew how and where to hide and even how to distort psychic reach, he had no interest in contact with anyone from the Agency. he was essentially invisible for 5 years. seeing him act so differently from his old self now, it's quite unsettling to Zofia.

Sankt Saulus heraldry

A bit of lore extra! I find heraldry quite fascinating, and designed a crest for the city of St. Saul.

This doesn't have much bearing  on the plot, but i love coming up with these world-building tidbits. :3

Most cities/counties/municipalities in Jagged Jimmy's setting have their own crest, the heraldic animal represents that community's guardian or saint.

St. Saulus' guardian animal is a two-headed snake, head of a goat and head of a serpent. The white waves represent the river that runs through Saul (also named Saulus, which is what the city was named after). Saulus himself supposedly was a man who drowned in this river. After receiving a vision from god Aleph telling him to pray in that very river. For his devotion, Aleph blessed the river to always be rich in fish. Saulus was declared a saint post-mortem by the church of Aleph. Hence, Sankt Saulus, the holy city of Saul. :U

The left head's a goat because Saulus was a goat herder in his life, a snake is generally used to represent rivers and bodies of water. A crown can represent saints, blessings, anything related to the divinity of Aleph. Circles always represent the watchful eye of Aleph.

Yep, that eye doubles as a drone. Using that ability has a drawback, it puts Zofia basically into a coma while she does it. Unable to move the rest of her body until her eye's back in its socket. Staying like this too long, or the eye getting destroyed, would kill her as well.

Cures, even with useful effects, are always a double edged sword.
