"meat zone" plugin pre-release

here comes the patreon pre-release of "meat zone", a very nasty drive based around three very resonant filters. no manual yet. the jack at the bottom beside "velo" connects to the upper jacks to control the filters based on amplitude of input signal. 

NOTE: the mac version's amplitude response is slightly different, i had to use a different, less flexible default synthedit module as the timedomain modules are not ported to mac.

2022_01_13 ambient/noise session

today's feedback noise+ambient jam session thing. parts of it are pretty unruly, but there are also some nice bits i'll probably end up using for something. lots of alien soundscapes toward the middle bit. volume and frequency warning as always, though this recording is tamed a bit from the stream.

"mains5060" - an electrical interference plugin

this is an update to "mains" with a 50/60hz (with simulated drift) switch instead of a pitch knob and some other changes to get more realistic sounds. there are plenty of use cases for this i'm sure, but i've been enjoying mixing it with just about any softsynth at super low levels then applying a gate after. it's a little thing, but it does a lot.

both versions are still available, but this one is the logical end point for this project. on to the next thing!

ITI instrument collection (v20220108)

here is an update to the large openMPT + impulse tracker ITI instrument pack i've been working on. and all of the instruments are optimized to take up as little space as possible while maintaining high usability.

many of the instruments have stereo samples and will only work in the modplug-extended IT format  (and now the mptm format) - those instruments all have additional "(mono)" versions for legacy support. the mono versions are not simply mono sums of the stereo versions, opting for various mixes of the channels and other optimizations for the best reduction to a single channel.

currently there are 319 unique instruments. these won't be available in other formats. you can technically pull the samples out of these for use elsewhere but they are mostly not useful on their own outside of trackers as they are all fairly low fidelity and often rely on the envelopes.

as this is a work in progress, please do not share it.

"mains" - an electrical interference plugin

i needed to model some various interference for another plugin project and wound up with this very overengineered and tweakable sound generator along the way. i won't need something this detailed in said other plugin project and i felt like it would be a waste to not share this as is.

it has no midi tracking, it just makes sound all the time unless you turn down the volume knob (the right one). the knobs are all macros that control several aspects of the sound at once, minus the left, which is just the base frequency. you can double click them to restore to "default-ish" parameters.

as the daylight hours start to slip through our fingers, so does the will to do much of anything. i adore winter, i adore snow, i adore the cold. but every winter is a challenge for me, a combination of seasonal affective badness and navigating traumas. usually, this is a bit of a slow season for me. most of my remaining energy this time of year gets put into self-preservation, with the rest going to work. i humbly ask for your patience as i trudge through it. i might be a little snippier, more curt, or seem less willing to help than usual, but give me time and i'll come around to things.
