Kitty Malone - Foxy (Preview)

I had been planning to post all the shoots I did with Kitty Malone  this year in order - during the course of the did more than 25 shoots in all, most on a 3 week road trip in August from Los Angeles to Seattle and back - but I kept wanting to post certain ones at certain times and it was preventing me from posting them at all! So I have scrapped that idea (even though it would have been nice for you to be able to follow the journey up and down the West Coast), because this shoot is what is jumping out at me this month.  

This shoot was from later in the trip, as we were we making our way back down through Oregon the second time.  We were on our way to Sisters, Oregon to spend a few nights on the ranch estate of a fetish video producer - Kitty had signed on to be in a custom fetish video where she would be erotically electrocuted!  More on that in coming posts I am sure, but on the way we stopped off in a random beautiful forest to catch the dying sunlight, and get some sensual, feral images of Kitty with her animal tail buttplug in.  

We ALMOST ran out of light looking for the best photogenic spot along this tiny dirt road through the forest, and had to work FAST, but I think it came out awesome.  Kitty really seems at home naked in the wilderness with a buttplug in her! :D

Sometimes when I am shooting I get really fixated on one moment and shoot a ton of images observing the same scene, probably TOO many images.  Grace was not doing anything more than practicing sinking and sitting calmly beneath the surface, but I love everything about it in that moment - the contrast of colors between her tan skin and the dark blue of the pool, the shadows of the water caustics dancing on her skin, the strange, distorted reflections of her face on the undersurface of the water, and just the look of her face underwater (most people's face look strange underwater, and perhaps less "beautiful" than they do on land, but Grace's facial beauty held strong underwater - I still have yet to figure out the formula that predicts whether someone's face will look lovely underwater or not).

I did, however, manage to pull myself out of that moment and run Grace through some of my other underwater series, such as my "Sinking in Bubbles" images, and also my "Halo" series - where I basically have the model swim normally at the surface and I try to swim upside down with my camera rig and try to line the model up between the sun and me (which basically blinds me constantly, making it difficult to see anything or line the model up properly, not to mention the pain from all the water rushing into my sinuses due to being upside down) in order to try and capture this kind of image that I always love of rays of sunlight radiating out around the model on all sides, especially if I can get the sun right behind her head.

For my second time shooting with Grace we headed to my usual pool. It was summer, and the days are long and hot, so its a perfect time for skinny dipping. Grace isn't a model, but I could tell she wanted to shoot because she'd been working hard in the gym this year and wanted some record of her work. Lucky for us!  

We did some work outside the pool shooting some lookbook stuff for my friends' clothing line, and some nudes using the landscaping in my friends' backyard both before and after working in the pool. Most of that stuff will probably end up posted for the Memory Vault ($20) Tier.

Once we got in the pool, Grace was just having fun - enjoying the water, and really trying to do each of the tasks I set forth for my various underwater series.  If you are not SUPER comfortable under the water, some of these tasks are pretty unpleasant actually (have you ever tried suspending underwater on your back, face to the sky?  Water rushes in and floods every inch of your sinuses and it feels like an instant searing headache. THEN you have to try and look elegant and relaxed in that position, make sure you don't sink too far below the surface, don't allow air bubbles to settle around your nostrils, remember not to hold your mouth tightly closed, etc, etc.  It is hard work - unpleasant and taking loads of concentration.  Grace was up to trying to execute all the shots in my various series with gusto.  She just has a really positive, can-do attitude, that makes her a joy to work with.

Next up for the $5 and up patrons are images from my day at the pool with Grace back in August. It was a perfect day to be in the water, and Grace was excited to skinny dip. We also made use of the rest of my friends' backyard to shoot a bunch of other stuff around the pool for some "backyard jungle" kinds of images (some of which i posted last month for my $20 patrons). It was my first time back in the pool in almost a year and I was feeling a bit rusty handling my underwater camera rig at first. Luckily Grace has a ton of energy and enthusiasm so I had time to get comfortable and remember all the ongoing series I have been working on with my underwater work over the years, so I could grab some shots of Grace to add to them.  I have about 70 images to share from this shoot.

When I was looking through the shoot catalog of Jay Marie and Kitty Malone for images to save out for the regular BTS post for you, I noticed there was one stretch of the shoot I had totally skipped over when editing! I don't know how I missed this whole section, but it had some nice images, enough for me to save out an extra set.  I have decided to post it for my $15 BTS patrons and above, so here they are!

I barely shot any BTS footage due to the quick nature of the shoot, so I am including literally ALL the videos I shot, and as many BTS looking images I shot with my Sony A7 during the shoot that I could find.

In the images its hard to tell, but it was COLD that afternoon (as it often is on the Central Coast of California). Clearly jay Maries and Kitty Malone are pros to have hidden it so well, but they were definitely throwing hoodies on in between set ups. Oh since this is the BTS level, I will mention that this shoot was done at southern end of the Oceano Dunes near San Luis Obispo, California.

More images of Jay Marie and Kitty Malone frollicking on the sand dunes along the Pacific Coast back in August of 2019, on the first day of a 3 week long photo road trip from LA to Seattle with Kitty.

I don't know how else to say it, but this set exudes joy and freedom for me.  The pristine scenery, the golden, dreamy light, the two beautiful souls laughing and performing spontaneously... its just really really pleasant to look through this shoot. I have no idea though if that really comes through in the photos, or if its just because have the connection of memory attached to these images, having been there in person.   I suppose that is what the goal of all photographers should be.  A good photograph lets the viewer FEEL what the photographer felt witnessing the scene.

Alright, so, first off... these images were taken on the first day of a 3 week long road trip that Kitty Malone and I made up the West Coast of the US from Los Angeles to Seattle and back. She and I did perhaps 25 shoots together over that period (As well as several more in LA before we left).  All kinds of shoots - from beautiful nudes in gorgeous nature spots, to more intimate erotic stuff, as well as several shoots with other models. All the while I documented everything - I became Kitty's personal documentarian - recording behind the scenes footage of our shoots, us goofing around in the tent at night and while driving, her flashing me in the middle of bars and pubs, lots of peeing in nature (😄), etc, etc.  Very little was off limits.  I haven't been able to sort through all that footage, but she and I definitely intend to do so and try to package it in some digestible way for you over the coming months.  At the very least I will need to institute a "Monthly Kitty" set, in the way I used to have "Monthly Cacia" posts (I STILL have a few more shoots with Cacia to share in fact! Sheesh!) to allow my patrons to follow along on this eye-opening, epic trip to some of my favorite spots.

Our first day on the road, Kitty and I went straight from LA to San Francisco, taking the coastal route for the first half so that we could meet up with Jay Marie. I had just arranged it a few days before and really lucky that she was available and willing to meet up with us.  I had wanted to shoot at these dunes so badly for a long time, and I knew they were close to where she lives, but i was worried she wouldn't be interested as she done lots of shoots there before already. Thankfully she was up for it, and her boyfriend drove her over to meet us.  He was super nice and gifted Kitty and I a box of pre-rolled joints to help us on our trip!

The dunes are actually in a really popular spot, and people were all around - families with kids, couples taking romantic walks, European tourists taking in the sunset. I definitely saw a couple having professional engagement photos shot in the distance (they are in some of my shots, so perhaps some nude beauties are way in the distance in some of their shots as well! hah!). Despite all this activity, the dunes are deep and sprawling, so it wasn't that to get to spots where no one was really in view and work without the distraction of looky-loos or angered parents. Once we found some spots of pristine dunes, i kind of just walked away from Kitty and Jay Marie and let them talk and play and start to interact on their own.  I trusted these two pros to understand my wok and what they wanted to accomplish together to make something we all loved.  I just ran around trying to get the best light and compositions and snapped away as I stumbled and belly flopped in the soft sand.

    A preview of the sets I am posting for $5, $10, and $15 tiers this week - each tier gets a different part of the shoot, so if you are subscribed at $15 you have access to the entire shoot with 134 hi-res images and a couple BTS videos as well.  

    I had the honor of shooting with both of these models for the first time in the last year or so, and I had the similar reaction of "How can this person be this beautiful?" the first time I shot with each of them.  On top of that, both Jay Marie (March 2019 Penthouse Pet of the Month) and Kitty Malone are both such kind human beings, and both are creative AND professional when it comes to shooting.  This made the shoot a dream come true in itself for me, and on top of that Kitty and I headed to a spot near where Jay Marie lives that I have wanted to shoot at for AGES - so the whole thing  was a bit overwhelming for me to be honest.  In the moment (and I do mean moment - it was actually quite cold at those dunes in late July, and we had a brief window of golden hour light to work in, so this is one of the shortest nature shoots I have ever done) I couldn't think straight - my mind was racing, trying not to fuck up and miss all these beautiful little moments these radiant women were creating for me as they played in the dunes together. Thankfully my camera and my skills came through for me for the most part and we created this beautiful set of images that I am sharing with my patrons this week.

Claren is definitely NOT married. She did, however, find an old wedding dress while thrift shopping and had this idea of shooting in snow.  I told her I'd be happy to help her out since we always have a good time shooting together. From the BTS video included in the set, you'll see this outing was no different - lots of goofing around in between moments of making images.  

November Previews

I have a backlog of shoots to edit, organize, and post, which makes it hard for me to decide what to post each month. I am starting to formulate what I will upload in the coming month...

I NEED to start posting more images of Kitty Malone - She and I did a couple trips this year (including a three week road trip up the coast from LA to Seattle and back, with a lot of crazy adventures, weird times, a lot of laughs, all while producing some beautiful (and some erotic) work. I think I will just start from the first day of that trip when we met up with Jay Marie near her home base in San Luis Obispo to shoot at some sand dunes at sunset. It was rather epic to see the two beauties at play in that amazing setting.

Next, by request of a subscriber, I plan to post the underwater shoot I did with Grace back in August. We had SO much fun in the water (its hard not to have fun with Grace - she is such a sweetie!), and hopefully you will enjoy the images just as much as we enjoyed making them.

For the Memory Vault ($20 Tier) this coming month, I wanted to provide some very different shoots (from one another and from the other shoots I am posting this month), and opted for this rather racy set of Eirenne writing around on the ground in my Candy Chaos set, and another shoot in the snow with my pal Claren where she ran around (and pretty much fell out of) a wedding dress in the snow way back in February of this year.

We'll see how I go - maybe I will upload some extra sets if I have time!

Blood Pool - Celia - Preview

I just posted this set of 44 images and a video in the Memory Vault for my $20+ patrons. Its the closest thing to a Halloween shoot I did this year. 

My friend Celia (if you are a fan of her - check out HER new Patreon) wanted to do another pool shoot after I got home from Japan in late September, something more along the lines of Halloween, Celia's favorite of all holidays!  Only problem was that her pool was dreadful cold by the time we could schedule it in early October. She had cool dresses she bought to wear in the water, and we had this vague notion of seeing what stage blood would do under the water, but honestly we were both freezing and could barely think straight once we jumped in.  We didn't work on these photos for more than perhaps 40 minutes (including a long break in the middle to warm up), but we still got some evocative images despite the short shoot time and harsh conditions.  It made me remember why I only do pool shoots in the summer!

The video I included in the set for the Vault is actually a kind of great.  I don't even remember the moment during filming where Celia decided to perform like that, feeling herself up sensually for the camera.  Captured in slow motion, its has quite an alluring feel. We just had a goofy good time. There is actually some really sexy footage of her just grooving and feeling herself to the music and performing for the camera, but I feel like that wasn't exactly in the spirit of "behind the scenes" tier, so maybe I will edit another video for my $25 tier that just focuses on her seducing the camera. Still you get a taste of it in this BTS video,  what its like to watch her model, and overall a good feel for the shoot as a whole.

Eirenne has the sweetest of smiles, but DAMN she can turn on the SULTRY. Since I am normally shooting out in nature or underwater, I don't normally think about music during shoots, and often the models don't either.  In these indoor shoots though, when the models are constricted to this small set, music has come up time and time again.  i am always interested to see what kind of music helps get each person into this headspace, into this character they are conveying.  its been all over the place - some models just let me pick, one model wanted NO music, but most had some ideas of what they wanted.  Often it veered toward some sexier R&B, hip hop kind of stuff (SZA, Cardi B, The Weeknd, etc), or dripping electronic tracks, butI was a little surprised to see that what really put Eirenne into the sultry mode was Arctic Monkeys and Fleetwood Mac. If you don't believe it - subscribe to the $15, or better yet, $20 level to see videos of her grooving to her music selections. Its... sheesh.

I don't know a thing about proper studio lighting (I am mostly an outdoor shooter using natural light).  I don't own proper strobes or anything of the sort. I do have several $7 studio clamp lamps from Home Depot though, and some colored light bulbs also from Home Depot, and some sheets of colored gel papers for photo lights.  These, paired with my collection of fabric pieces built up over the years for underwater shoots, come together in my bedroom sometimes (when I get up the energy to throw it all together) to make this crazy set.  It might be kind of cheesy, or so cheesy that its kind of cool - i am never sure which.  What I do know is whenever I have invited models over to sit in it, they want to keep shooting selfies of themselves in the candy colored lighting.  That seems like a seal of approval in itself, so I keep putting it up a couple times a year to play.

Eirenne's skin looked AMAZING in the colored lighting, glowing intensely in all the colors of the rainbow. I WISH I had noted everything i did with the lighting for that shoot so i could recreate it.  I never seem to match the same effect! We had a lot of fun and produced SO many pretty images.  It was amazing to see how the colored lighting paired with her crazy curves to sculpt these beautiful forms...

I realize a lot of the images are kind of similar though - I wonder if my patrons care to have a lot of images from a shoot, even if they are not super varied? People don't often comment here on my posts, but i wish i could hear from people about this.  I don't know if its cool to have a LOT of images, or if folks would prefer just a small batch of only the best images and then move on to another shoot?

I just threw up my little "candy chaos" set in my bedroom again, and it reminded me I never posted the sets from my second shoot with Eirenne from back in May! I can't believe i didn't because its one of my favorite shoots ever. Eirenne was just super fun, the lighting was cooperating with me, we shot for a long time, but it got more and more sexy (those subscribed at $20 and above will see what I mean) as the time went on.  Just an over all fun night and I have a lot images I want to share with my various tiers. Since it was a quick shoot, there wasn't too much time for shooting BTS, but I wanted to share what I did have, including video footage of Steph modeling, and also rescuing my flip flops which were carried carried away by a particularly big wave!

Usually the BTS set is the final set for any shoot on my Patreon, but actually I loved too many images, so I will be posting another $5 and $10 set, and also posting one for the $20 tier.

It is no easy feat to pose on these rocky tide pools.  The rocks are uneven jagged sharp like daggers in places, and where they are flat they get covered by seaweed that is slippery as heck when wet - this makes it hard enough to stand and walk around, let alone move gracefully or do challenging poses.  When you add in the unexpected large waves crashing over the rocks and the model full force at seemingly random intervals, its actually a dicey situation altogether.  I have so much respect for any model that gives it a shot.  

Steph tackled it with so much calmness, like the true yogi she is. Nothing rattled her, and she didn't let occasional failures dissuade her from trying to achieve what we wanted.

Eirenne - Dichroic Nudes

Its Eirenne's birthday today! If you follow her on Instagram, go wish her a happy birthday! This is not totally  a BTS post - the images are one of the last set from the first time Eirenne and I shot together and comprise all my selections from the images shot with a piece of dichroic film (a material typically used on the large windows of big buildings - its iridescent, shifting color as the angle of the light shifts, and casting different color shadows as well) held up roughly in front of my lens as I shot. This made every single image totally different from one another as the pattern of color blobs and reflections would transform with the slightest change of pressure in my grip on the flimsy sheet, or moving ever so slightly in relation to the sun.  It meant I had no way to predict the results.  Most of these images are nearly straight out of the camera, with little editing, while a few of them I experimented in Lightroom, really pushing the color balance and curves around to see what they looked like if i tried to "correct" the images to make them look closer to the actual scene.  

Eirenne really liked the images, and has posted several  - i should point out though that she was disappointed that they received FAR fewer likes than photos of her that are very "normal".  I pointed out that her fans might not want "ART" and just want to gaze at her perfection and fantasize.  Hopefully i am not turning any of you away or boring you by posting this more "artsy" set (and rambling on about the technicalities of making the images)? That would be a bummer to both Eirenne and myself.

As for the video - its more in line with the "BTS" tier - us talking about various stuff (including trying to decide what topic to ask her about at the beginning 😅) as we walked back to the car at the end of the shoot, with me follow her buns the whole time.  I was shooting footage for an ongoing project of "hiking butts", but also enjoyed just hearing about stuff she was into. I previously posted a more conventional BTS video edit from the shoot HERE (from the first BTS post from the shoot).

Looking at this set, I keep thinking "Sheesh! She is blessed with the most absurdly perfect hourglass shape!" Its really hard to believe its all really, if I had spent many hours working with her up close, I might not believe it. Combined with her sweet smile and easy going manner, its quite the irresistible package. Looking forward to working with her again, if our schedules can ever line up (we are both busy folks with busy work and travel schedules, and obviously she is quite in demand)!

Since it was very cold and wet on top of that mountain (even colder than I had anticipated), this shoot was done quick and dirty as we could, so I didn't take time to shoot too much behind the scenes footage. I didn't shoot enough horizontal video to really make a proper edit of the footage for you BTS patrons unfortunately, so I have just uploaded the videos I DID manage to take. You can enjoy Ariel being silly, me sounding distinctly like I don't like my actual profession (which is that of an painter/drawer, not a photographer), as well as watch a timelapse of the last sequence in the shoot.

Oh! The location for this shoot (which I only give to my BTS patrons) is right on the trail about 3 minutes walk from the end of the parking lot for Mt. Wilson Observatory in the Angeles National Forest, about a 40 minute drive out of Los Angeles, CA.

Ariel Fahey had only moved to LA about 2 or 3 months before we met on this rainy cold spring morning.  I had no idea though - despite her age (only 23) she comes off so confident and seemed to have her shit together and understand so how she fits into the world she is trying to inhabit.  

Anyhow - I LOVED seeing her find this character on that rocky outcropping, watching her work from a great distance away, unable to really communicate with her to give direction. I just let her decide who she was and what she'd do in this fairy tale environment.

This seems to be a thing a lot of the models I shoot with do for the $1 tiers on their own Patreons - post the uncensored version of censored Instagram post images. This makes a lot of sense to me, so I am going to try to remember to do that from here on out!  These images of Ariel Fahey are much better seen larger anyway, so here you all go!  Should I post the rest of this shoot for those of you in my higher up tiers?
