Christmas news and updates!

Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! Due to some of our team members being exceptionally busy this month due to deadlines surrounding the end of the year, myself andKabs have put time back into the Beat 'em up project to stay busy, we have also brought back Prometheus, a coder who did some early work on said game back in May. He whipped up some awesome shader tricks that we can re-use now. I now have a twitter for more frequent and small updates on what I am working on for the games, you can check it out at @JasonafexFA In news relative to the artwork attached, FA user Rotarr is now onboard for the stage designs and background work for the beat 'em up! I Strongly suggest checking out her work, it's really great stuff! We have high hopes her talents shall inspire some really creative level interactions. Even though we are working on both projects again now, we do still plan to get out a monthly update schedual for Amorous, and everyone should be free again to work frequently on the game by New Years. We hope to get an update to you mid January!

Experimenting with skeletal animation

Thanks to your support, I've been able to purchase a license to use Spine, which is an in-depth animation program designed to be compatible with Unity. This means we can solve alot of problems we where having trying to do all assets frame-by-frame. This is especially handy for the Beat 'em up should we continue that later! It's happening!

Thanks to our new programmers, production has sky-rocketed this month, Amorous has been remade from the ground up to be better optimised, easier to update and plans are already in place for more features! The Patreon page has been updated to better represent our current direction, and I've been given the greenlight to inform everyone that we do plan to meet a November 1st deadline for our demo. Not all features will be present in the demo, serving more as an example of what to expect. This does however, mean that future updates will likely be accompanied by new playable builds to the game. We are looking forward to hearing your feedback on the demo!

Our team expands!

Thankyou everyone who applied! Unfortunately due to the large quantity of applicants, it's difficult for me to let everyone know personally that the position has been filled. The delay in picking was primarily due to how talented the majority of applicants were, narrowing it down to just a couple of users is no easy task! Ultimately it came to two with fantastic resumes and over 10 years of experience each, both with flexible hours. Rather than have them compete head to head for the position, they made a good point they could just work together, so we have 2 programmers now! Due to their combined experience, things are being handled in a much more professional and organised manner now. I am very excited for October and what we can accomplish without bottlenecking our efforts as per earlier! The change in direction does unfortunately mean we can't get that demo out this month, but we hope to make up for it with a better, more polished game as a result. As a secondary reminder for Patrons, Please read this journal, otherwise I can't reward you properly!

Earned a Patreon Perk? Post here!

We're close to a public Alpha, many of our scripts have secondary supporting characters with minor speaking roles. As part of our higher perks, some Patrons can have their sona's take place of those characters (or even in the higher bracket, have a unique conversation designed by them.) • We are addressing the higher perk rewards first, with the Signal Boost $50 perk occurring on the games release, and the $100 Skype conversation with the dev team occurring shortly after the alpha. (This way the questions are more relative) • If you have pledged at any point in time $250 or more, please send me a message here on Patreon (So I can confirm it's you) a link to your FA page and ref sheet, along with a quick summary of your sona's interests so we can place them better. This still counts for anyone who has pledged high previously, but is no longer doing so. • If you have pledged $500 or more, please note me directly on FA and I will help familiarise you with our script structure, I'll show you locations of the club and you can pick where your character is hanging out, and assist you with designing a conversation with the player. If the previous perk is more appealing to you, you can have priority for the more prominent and vocal supporting roles. Thankyou to all for supporting the game!

Playable build for Patrons late this month!

We are crunching down hard to offer something more tangible to our supporters this month, thanks to our new team of writers, the scripts for each date in the game is coming along at a fantastic pace. These handsome/beautiful devils are: Allenc Tazo Pyrosbyrnur Nalz Iurka With their help and creativity, 7/10 of the main characters have at least their club interactions ready to be incorporated into the game, with date scripts already under-way. The image attached is our layout plan for the club, some areas offer a full 360 view, each scene will be littered with intractable characters and novelties. Hoping to report back to you all soon with an executable, if not, I will spoil some of our more polished art assets.

Zenith, the husky bounder is no exception; not afraid to spend his breaks sharing a drink with the new faces, and even do a little overtime. The reveal of Zenith completes our roster, rounding off our roster with 10 fully fledged dates! (with three more being bonuses/secrets).

Meet Dustin!

Thanks everyone for your continued support! This month we have dedicated our resources to progressing scripts for our growing roster. Just this month I have received over 50 applications to write for the game, and have chosen a handful to write samples for their favourite character, and the best will be paid for their efforts! Our opening cinematic promoted in our last activity post has been completed and will be revealed in the demo.

Slots for opening scene ending soon!

To make the start of Amorous more interesting, (The Player was originally going to give a short monologue to a BLACK SCREEN. How exciting!) we're finishing up a panning cinematic shot for the start of our game, involving a small group of the townsfolk. This auction will close up at 9pm EST tonight, so if interested, check out Kabier's FA page! This is one of the few opportunities for non-patrons to get a cameo spot in the game, more interactive scenes are reserved for our high pledgers!

Logo contest winner

FA user Garyu came up with this lovely logo concept, which we then collaborated to add a couple of extra designs before finalising. We are really happy with the results of the competition and may use this version of the logo instead of my more bloated and busy design. We plan to address Patron rewards once we have a demo release or nearing that milestone, that way we have a better picture of what's in-store, more time can be spent on discussing additions/improvements rather then explaining what the game entails, and we can present examples of how characters will appear in-game. If you are a high pledger and have reduced your donation amount so that you are no longer meeting a perk criteria, please contact me via message here or note so that I can make sure you still acquire your reward once we roll them out.

Interactive, panning scenes.

We've successfully entered our second month of crowd funding! Big advancements since our last updates, we have finalised our soundtrack; featuring 17 jazzy tunes from 15 different artists, as well as an assortment of club music created by FA user Mittsies! Attached is an example of interactive backgrounds scattered across the game, sometimes what results from this interaction is either simple novelty, easter eggs or essential to advancing the scene. The club will also function in a similar matter, where as instead of having to select who you want to chat with via dialogue boxes, you merely need to highlight and click them. This background is also longer ingame in regards to width, we hope to create full panoramic scenes in the club, where you can rotate 360 degrees and have a full scope of your position. We have also finished 3 sex scenes, all animated emotions for Jax and a few other goodies. Keen tuned in for a possible chance to appear in an early story-board cinematic at the start of the game!
