Switching from Pony? (pls read Description)
Hey guys, since December last year, there have been a lot of advancements in AI, especially with Illustrious and NoobAI models. Unfortunately, the Pony models (on which my OG Realistic model is based on) haven’t moved forward at all. They're still stuck at version 6 from December 2023. That’s been really tough, especially since my entire fanbase was built using that style.
In contrast, Illustrious and NoobAI are newer and actively updated by their devs. They bring huge improvements like better prompt understanding, more accurate compositions, better anatomy including perfect hands and feet, a variety of body types including hyper proportions, and a wide range of art styles. Honestly, it’s not even close. The latest Illustrious v2 model, which this current Set is based on, even understands natural language prompts.
However, when it comes to realism, these models are still in a very early stage. I’ve tried a few realistic versions of Illustrious and, honestly, they’re not great. The body generation is lacking, and they don’t have the knowledge of their Toon and 3D counterparts.
That said, the Set you’re seeing right now was created using a custom-mixed Illustrious model that is spent weeks perfecting. This is probably the closest I’ve got these models to Realism. I’d love for you guys to check it out and tell me what you think.
For the remaining requests, I’ll be using this Style going forward. If you prefer I shouldn’t, feel free to let me know in the comments. I’ll also be keeping a close eye on Illustrious’ Realistic models and will make the switch when the time feels right. In the meantime, please let me know your thoughts on whether I should switch from Pony or not. I honestly really want to!
