2025-09-20 17:18:50 +0000 UTCIve always thought the 128 coulda been just the beginning in this alternative the C64 never existed its place been taken by a VIC 32k with 40column(6562/3) + built in super basic expander, so in this universe GO64 was never a thing and a C256 was released shortly afterward and both included a new super VIC/TED hybrid and eventually the C512 would be released upgradeable to a full 1MB, not sure if these machines woulde/shoulda used MMU or 6509 variant but the rest of it sounds awesume, 3.5inch floppy and twin SIDs, of course in my time line being slightly accelerated, the OG VIC started life a year earlier with 8k being expandable to 16 on release followed each yeah by a doubling till VIC32, so this allowed this C128 to have been worked on and released in late 1983 (1984 at worse) I imagine Jack didnt leave and this allowing work to have started possibly on a different Amiga class machine perhaps one more closely released to the ST but with the 65816, just imagine LoL
