Short video - replacing surface mount chips
Added 2024-02-02 19:39:13 +0000 UTCYou guys asked for more, so here is another TimeRift video. It's quite short and to the point, just showing how I replace surface mount chips. In this case it is a bad ROM chip in a MarioKart arcade.
Speaking of repairs. I've been working on a regular 8-Bit Guy video for repairing Martin Galway's original C128D. But it is proving quite the challenge as it is both 240V and PAL, which is way outside my realm of expertise and equipment. In fact June from "Nybbles and Bytes" is coming over this weekend to help troubleshoot it, and will appear in the video. So, stay tuned.
