Thank you David for the updates! Exciting stuff!!

Robert Bontrager

You could auction the test pressings for charity.

Joshua Cunningham

Thanks for the update Dave. Love all that you have going on. I NEED that vinyl. Looking forward to that. Would love to get my hands on one of those test pressings.

I'm not sure that Planet X3 would make a good "arcade" style game.

The 8-Bit Guy

How about a Planet X3 / Petscii Robots dual arcade machine?

SuperTekBoy

David, regarding the attract mode for the arcade version, it made me think of the "How To Play" section of Metal Slug. https://youtu.be/3nNlOggyhPo?t=40 Something like this could help the player understand what to do and also avoid burn in.

Blimey. I saw that Tiger learning computer and thought I'd look them up. They are quite rare. I really hope you can get a mouse for it. I'd love to see a video on that one :)

Paul Jacobson

Very strange. It might be too risky to cut a PS/2 cable and wire it to an old Apple mouse cable? It could be that not all PS/2 pins on the device are used, but only four. You might see that if you disassemble the device … of course you know that. ;) Best, Alex!

Alexander M. Korn

Unfortunately no. At the moment the chip shortage is our biggest enemy. We can't start producing anything until we can get all of the parts.

The 8-Bit Guy

It's definitely not an ADB connector. I already plugged a PS/2 mouse in there and it fit perfectly. Just didn't work. An ADB mouse will not fit. Sure, it could be the ADB protocol, but I don't have any way to verify that or figure out how to make an adapter if it is.

The 8-Bit Guy

David, die you tried an old Apple mouse on this learning computer. It's maybe an ADB-Connector not PS/2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Desktop_Bus

Alexander M. Korn

Possible angle for the Tiger Learning computer video. The IIGS and likely the Tiger used Apple’s Mega II System on a chip design. Basically a single chip Apple IIe, the Bald Engineer, https://www.reddit.com/user/baldengineer/ has been working to create Apple ][ Mini, inspired by the C64 Mini. He has made significant progress, video on his Reddit page. A video on the Tiger and a Apple ][ Mini might make a good collaboration video.

I'm always keen to see some hacking on the X16, whether emulator or hardware. Depends on whether David has had the time to do it though!

robert eaglestone

Any update information on X16?
