Amiga 1000 - Restore video or not?

I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row for this Amiga documentary.  I have a stock Amiga 1000 that was donated to me which will be a significant part of the documentary since that's where it all started.  But it's super dirty and yellowed.  I need to restore/retrobrite it.

I'm sort of stuck in the analysis paralysis over whether to do the restoration behind the scenes, which will take 3-5 days, or do a restoration episode on it which will take 2 weeks to film and edit.   If I do the video, sure you get an extra video but it does mean waiting that much longer for the Amiga documentary that everyone has been screaming for.  So, I'm going to put it to the vote!

Similarly, I have an Amiga 1200 that is in similar shape that needs restoration.  But it's not as critical to the documentary as the 1000 is.  I also have 3 Amiga 500s, all of which need restoration.  But I don't need any of those for the documentary because I can borrow my brother's 500 that is in perfect shape.   So, for the moment, vote on the A1000.  But then also tell me in the comments if you'd like to see restorations on these other two Amigas before the documentary.

Do a restauration ... the 1000 was the start of the unique success of the Amiga. It's worth to take a deeper look into ... and watching an "old car" is not as interesting as watching the restoration. ;)

You're asking the question to an echo chamber here. Quite a lot of us are here because we enjoy your restoration videos, so I'm not surprised by the poll result. I'm looking forward to both the restoration and history videos. Keep up the good work!

Do it! I owned both Amiga 500 and 1200 as a kid, the later got moved into after-market tower case and got 68040 acceleration board.

I am more than happy to wait an extra few weeks for the a documentary if it means the computer in question looks beautiful.

I always wanted to own a Commodore and Amiga but never had the chance. This would be great to watch. I'm a child from the Coleco Adam generation LOL

Love your restoration videos!

MOAR Amiga-age. Maybe just a few clips in the main video itself or something.

I’m good either way. I guess it depends on how soon you think the Amiga video will be. If not very soon, then doing the restoration is a good stop gap video.

Make restoration videos! As much as you can. I like your restoration videos. Speaking about delay, we waited years, we surely ok to wait for few more weeks or months. )

I love the restoration videos. Honestly they’re some of my favorite content.
