Things are coming along smoothly, and we’re making progress every single day on this. For hours nearly every day, we’re on calls discussing progress. Last night was getting Troublemaker into Unreal Engine, refining up some of the textures, and establishing a vision for the environment he will be running around in.
I’m so thrilled about this project and can’t wait to make an all new frightening experience. This is one of the earliest of many steps to come.
When texturing the baby’s eyes, we made it so the black/pupil of the eye would always be in a certain position. As Troublemaker hasn’t been programmed for movement yet, he was just placed in as a still model, so when we moved the camera in multiple directions, his eyes would follow us as if they were animated, even though it was just because of the lighting/perspective. Gave us a good jolt!
