OP Sister Chapter 493: Revealing The Good News

[The Cosmic Throne {Divine Judge of Flames} is relieved that things were resolved nicely. He is happy that Henrietta is embracing her child despite the circumstances of the world, and he says that he will support her and her child as much as he can.] 

“Oh, would you look at that!” I said. “Your dear constellation is happy.” 

“Yes, I can tell,” Henrietta said, reading the message sent to her. “Thank you so much, Gabriel. I wonder now, what will the kid be like? Just a normal human?” 

“I mean, children born from Awakened tend to vary between being normal humans or being born with some form of inherited magical talent, sometimes a skill,” I said. “So there’s a good chance of either of the two.” 

“Hmm,” Jack nodded. “Well, I sure hope the baby is born with some form of strength, so they can protect themselves once they grow up. But even if they don’t, I’ll raise them and help them grow strong.” 

“Well said,” Henrietta nodded. “Well then, I believe we’re done here. A lot has happened and, ah, yes, everyone, I know you were watching and listening to this entire ordeal.” 

She finally addressed the giant crowd of people around us, who were constantly commenting on what they had just witnessed with each other. 

“Henrietta, I came running here! Is it true that you’re pregnant?” A lady with long blue hair appeared, wearing a white blouse and blue gym pants, her eyes glistening with green color. 

“Yes, Alexia. I suppose it’s time to make it official,” Henrietta said. “Please call for the rest of the guild members. In this guild, we are always honest, so I won’t keep this a secret or let it turn into gossip.” 

Like that, Henrietta announced to her entire guild that she was indeed pregnant. Wow, does this woman not really think about the consequences this could cause? They might choose to leave her or think she’ll be weakened, and spies could try to kill her or take her down! 

But I guess it’s also part of her personality to be honest, always honest, no matter what. It’s her whole shtick, if I may say so myself. But it’s also her weakness, something that can be loved but also hated, which the readers hated. I don’t quite like it either. There’s certainly some naivety to that nature. 

“So the father is Jack? This is big news. Two S Rank Hunters will have a child together.” 

“Oh my gosh! I’m so happy, guild master!” 

“Kyaaaaaah!” 

“And with Jack? You’re so lucky!” 

“I am moved to tears, guild master!” Among the crowd of people, a heavily armored knight started crying, even though he was also wearing a helmet. 

This man was Berth Strongman, the right hand of Henrietta. He’s well known as “the Golden Knight” or “Henrietta’s Shield.” After recovering from the Frozen Graveyard incident, he’s been doing well and has gotten back to work. 

From what I know about him, he’s also watched over by the Nebula known as “The Round Table,” which is composed of King Arthur, all his Knights, and even relatives, who are all Mythical Heroic Constellations. Alone, they cannot easily compare to gods, but together, they’re a well-respected Nebula. 

I believe Berth is mostly watched over by one of the gentlest knights, however. 

[The Heroic Constellation {One-Armed Keeper of the Holy Sword} seems rather happy about the news.] 

Hmm, the “One-Armed Keeper of the Holy Sword,” the man who gave Excalibur back to the Lady of the Lake once King Arthur was done with his crusade. 

Yep, that’s Bedivere. 

From what I can recall from all the Wikipedia searches I’ve done and my super memory, this characteristic of him having one arm is often attributed to a battle he fought against the Giant of Mont Saint-Michel, where he lost his right hand. 

I believe he’s often depicted as wearing a prosthetic arm, sometimes based on a silver arm called Airgetlam, which was given by the Irish god Nuada. 

I should probably get friendlier with Berth and maybe see if I can inherit some skill or get more attention from the Round Table. I do wield a lot of holy swords, so maybe they’ll take an interest in me. 

Though, they’re very chivalrous and among the few Nebulas that are fully righteous. That makes them very strict about how they work. However, they would be the perfect allies for the future, as I am sure they won’t try to betray me or anything, as we’ll have pretty common goals and will work together toward saving and helping the people of this world, and, well, this world itself too. 

“And that’s all,” Henrietta said. “I hope you can understand my decision. I simply couldn’t let go of this precious child. And to celebrate this, from today onward, our guilds are officially entering a permanent alliance with Jack’s guild. We will assist each other as much as we can!” 

“Wow, that’s big news!” 

“Wait, but Jack’s guild is like, there’s barely three people in it.” 

“That guy’s a loner. He made a guild just so he could enter Gates and Dungeons without being annoyed.” 

“Can we really trust him? Will he even care about us?” 

“All the news about him always says he’s a selfish guy though. I don’t know what the guild master finds in him.” 

“Well, for one, he’s handsome!” 

“We totally stan him!” 

There was a lot of gossip. Some people supported the alliance and my brother being with Henrietta, while others seemed angered and frustrated, especially my brother’s haters. 

And honestly, I cannot defend him here. He’s the one who created such a terrible reputation by being generally hostile, too reckless, and overall unlikeable! 

I had yet to wake up from my coma back then, but I clearly remember the beginning of the novel and how much of an asshole Jack was with everyone. 

Every interview they did with him ended up with him insulting the news reporters and journalists or simply telling them to “scram” while walking away. 

He’s so terrible at this! 

And now that he’s finally getting his act together and realizing he can’t just act childishly anymore, he’s realizing that the things he did in his past are now weighing down on his shoulders, making his future difficult. 

And that’s where I come in! 

“Kevin, Baihe! Come with me!” 

“Huh? What?” 

“Hey!” 

I grabbed their hands, dragging them along with me.
