OP Sister Chapter 492: A Reliable Little Sister

The concept of becoming family with Kevin’s family was never truly on my mind, but I suppose it made sense that we would. After all, my brother had a relationship with Henrietta, and now they’re going to have a kid together.
Does that mean they’re also going to get married? Wow, this is really different from the original timeline. A new life entirely is going to be born from it, someone who never existed outside of the story. That’s amazing by itself, isn’t it?
And why is this idiot upset about it?
“Why are you making that face? What’s wrong with being part of my family?” I asked, crossing my arms.
“Ah, no, there’s nothing wrong,” he sighed. “I guess that’s just what’s going to happen now. I have to accept it and move on.”
“Aren’t you happy, though? Your sister is going to have a baby, and you’ll be an uncle!” I said.
“I guess I’m happy? It’s still new to me, so I’m processing it,” he said. “But yeah, I guess I should be happy. What’s happening is pretty amazing, all things considered.”
We nodded as we walked toward the pair, who were still hugging each other, not really caring about the rest of the guild listening to everything happening right now.
“Uh, so you’re pregnant, sister?” Kevin asked.
“Yes. I’m sorry for keeping it a secret, Kevin,” Henrietta said. “I was afraid. Being a mother is not something easy, especially in these times.”
“Hm, I agree,” Kevin said. “But I’m glad you decided to have the baby. I don’t think I would have been able to live knowing that you aborted it. I mean, I’m going to be an uncle now.”
“I know. Sorry,” Henrietta nodded. “I don’t know what got into me. I was stupid.”
“I wouldn’t say stupid. You were simply, well, we both were worried. To bring a child into this chaotic world, where we don’t even know what will happen a few months from now,” Jack said. “But I believe that if we can work together, anything is possible. Anna, my sister, has taught me that much.”
“Aw, Jack,” I felt moved by his words. “Well, I’m glad that you’ve changed as well! The you from almost a year ago would have never said any of these things, I believe.”
“You’re not wrong,” he nodded. “I’ve indeed changed more than I thought, all thanks to you and, well, Henrietta here, and everyone else. Even Fenrir has gotten nicer lately.”
“Hmph.” Fenrir remained silent as he appeared out of his shadows, summoning himself as a large wolf-like dog. “Well, so this was the little secret you were keeping, huh? A damn kid! Damn it. I hope you don’t ask me to babysit the child! I am not going to take care of that little hell spawn!”
“Hahaha! Please don’t say that,” Henrietta laughed at Fenrir’s overreaction. “We’ll take care of the baby together.”
“I can help as well!” I said. “Whenever you two are busy, I’ll take care of it.”
“Eh? Really?” my brother asked. “Wait, Anna, don’t jump to conclusions right away. These things will be decided by us. I appreciate your help, but you don’t need to offer your help like that. I would never ask you to take care of my child.”
“But why not? I’m auntie Anna now!” I said. “And well, it shouldn’t really be that hard.”
I quickly released a bit of my powerful Aura, and my brother, Henrietta, Kevin, and Baihe felt an immense pressure coming from within, to the point they stepped back.
From that Aura, another “me” appeared, although made of glistening golden, white, and blue light, semi-transparent and seemingly spiritual.
“What is that?” my brother asked. “A new technique?”
“Is it some kind of clone made of light?” Henrietta asked. “I did have such a technique before, but it was so weak that I ended up just not using it anymore.”
“Yeah, something like that,” I said. “I call them ‘Egos,’ and they’re extensions of my Radiance Aura, embodiments of Skills and Traits.”
“Wait, what? Since when did you have such an ability?” Kevin asked, shocked. “It’s not fair! You keep getting ahead.”
“Amazing,” Baihe glanced at me. “Does that mean you can be in several places at once, Anna? Can you remote control them?”
“More than that, each Ego is just me. My mind is shared with all of them, so it is indeed as if I’m in different places at the same time. And yet, even then, they represent a piece of my identity, so despite being all one big ‘me,’ they have distinct personalities,” I explained. “But anyway, it’s a good ability, and that’s why I’m going to use it to help you two raise the baby. Even when I’m busy, I will be able to keep watch on them. Pretty handy, right? I bet you feel lucky to have a little sister like me, brother!”
“I am! It’s incredible. And I’m really grateful, but,” Jack muttered. “Still, it would feel like we’re taking advantage of you.”
“Aw, we’re family, don’t worry,” I said. “Henrietta.”
I grabbed her hands as Henrietta looked back at me with surprise, likely still trying to process everything she saw and heard.
“I’m really grateful for what you’ve done for my brother. I always knew that you were the right girl for him! And I totally ship you two!” I nodded. “Thank you for being with him and loving him! He really needed a girlfriend!”
“Anna. Hahaha, you’re so funny all the time,” she giggled. “Thank you too, for being there for me and helping me and my brother. I’m happy that we will be a big family! You’re also like a sister to me.”
Henrietta hugged me tightly and kissed my cheek several times.
She was honestly a bit overwhelming!
“Uh, thanks,” I tried to escape her grasp, but it was futile. She was full of love.
[The Cosmic Throne {Divine Judge of Flames} is relieved that things were resolved nicely. He is happy that Henrietta is embracing her child despite the circumstances of the world, and he says that he will support her and her child as much as he can.]

Let us bet on whether the child will be a girl or boy. I choose it will be a girl.
