On this day, an unprecedented event shook the cosmos. Across the 999 Hells, all demons heard the agonized screams of their Supreme Ruler.

The King of All Evil, the Ruler of All Demons, the First Sinner, and the Betrayer of the Heavenly Father—none other than the one everyone feared, the being who shaped Hell into what it was now.

His body twisted in agony, withering and regenerating endlessly. The damage from his battle against Anna and the Venerables was far greater than he could have ever imagined.

“I have lost… so much of my soul…! T-This wasn’t planned! It wasn’t supposed to be this way! That Void Ruler tricked me! That damned, ungodly machine…!”

As his humanoid form dragged itself through his empty palace, demonic blood leaked from his wounds, staining the floor. Wherever his blood touched, dozens of demonic abominations sprouted to life, groaning and crying.

“Even my blood is cursed by the word of the Father… I have truly become a monstrous thing, ehe… heheheh…”

He began laughing abruptly, glaring at the monsters surrounding him, drinking his own blood as they groaned and wailed.

“Don’t drink my blood, you abominations!”

His handsome, human-like face contorted. His blue eyes and long blond hair transformed, his head morphing into a gigantic, red-scaled dragon’s maw. He devoured his own offspring one by one.

Their pitiful cries echoed through the palace as he consumed them, born from his wounds and blood, in a monstrous ritual of bloodshed. The act restored some of his vitality, grotesque as it was.

Finally, he dragged himself back to his throne, collapsing onto it, gasping for air. Exhausted and in pain, he felt death looming at any moment.

“J-Just how much did they take from me? A third of my soul? Aaahhh… T-This is not… not good… damned…! Damned…! Damned! DAMNED! AAAAAGGGHH!”

He screamed in both fury and pain. The memory of Anna’s face ignited an inferno of rage within him. He wanted nothing more than to tear her to shreds and feast on her corpse.

“I’M GOING TO KILL HER NO MATTER WHAT! RULES?! CAUSALITY?! I DON’T GIVE A DAMN ANYMORE! KILL…! I’M GOING TO KILL, KILL, KILL HER!!! KILL! I’LL TEAR HER APART AND FEAST ON HER BLOOD AND FLESH! GRAAAAHHHHHH!!!!”

In a frenzy of anger and insanity, he clawed at his pristine white skin, tearing it apart to reveal monstrous jaws, eyes, and writhing red tentacles that screamed. His face distorted into countless crying visages as he ripped away his feathered, angelic wings. Black and red tentacles, filled with blood-weeping eyes, sprouted in their place.

“W-WHAT IS THIS FEELING?!”

Engulfed in rage, pain, and agony, something glowed within him, mutating. As he sank deeper into insanity and hatred, fixated on a nemesis he vowed to slay, his stagnant Story—the narrative of his existence—began to progress. He was evolving.

The Laws of Causality around him twisted and warped, feeding him the essence of the cosmos. His enlightenment, born from hatred, pain, and agony, elevated him into something beyond comprehension.

“AAAH...! T-THIS IS…! AHAHAH…! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!”

BOOOMMM!!!

His laughter triggered an explosion, obliterating his palace and the entire region of the First Hell. An entire city, home to billions of demons, was erased from existence.

The demonic souls of those obliterated flowed toward him, nourishing his monstrous, writhing form as it grew uncontrollably, regenerating like a cancer. His wicked laughter reverberated across all 999 Hells.

Demons screamed—mostly nobles or high-ranking beings who had enjoyed the privilege of residing millennia in the First Hell—fleeing in terror. Those with sufficient power escaped through portals, but the weaker remained, trapped as Lucifer’s expanding jaws consumed the entire First Hell and everything within it.

RUMBLE!

Amid the screams of hundreds of billions of demons, Lucifer completed his “ascension” into a new form, a new being, a new realm—a new him.

“How… could this happen? I had suffered so much damage; I was weakened! But… my Story, it progressed so much… Was that world the cause? No… it was everything. From that Void Ruler tricking me, to that world, the crow I killed, and… and… Heheh… HEHEHEHEHEHE…”

He grinned through countless jaws as his massive, fleshy body compacted itself. A new form emerged, both demonic and angelic, overflowing with the flames of Hell and the light of Heaven.

“It’s because of her! Her very existence is a paradox, isn’t it?! She shouldn’t even exist! A mere interaction with her—a battle, a resentment, her hatred…! It all elevated me to this point?! HEHE… HEHEHEHEHEHEH! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! FANTASTIC! THANK YOU, ANNA! WITH THIS POWER YOU’VE GIVEN ME, I’LL MAKE SURE TO DESTROY YOUR WORLD AND YOU ALONGSIDE IT!!!”

As Lucifer laughed and reveled in his ascended form, he summoned the Demonic Thrones, the Archdemons.

Portals opened around his new form, and giant entities emerged—some beastly, others humanoid. A few were conspicuously absent.

“My Archdemons… I have called you here for an important meeting. Beyond gazing upon my glorious new form, you will hear my new plan—a plan to ensure that girl’s destruction, along with her beloved little world.”

“You mean that Earth where Anna hails from, Your Majesty?” asked Leviathan.

“Precisely, Leviathan. I care for nothing else but that world now… Can you see what I’ve become? Despite my prior weakness, my interaction with her—and her hatred toward me—advanced my Story, stagnant for eons.”

“S-So that’s what happened…” Mammon murmured.

“Indeed, Mammon. And now, we will ensure her destruction. No one… no one dares push me this far without paying dearly for it. Even if I’m grateful for her help. Heheh… We will make her, and her planet suffer.”

As Lucifer and his Archdemons plotted their next moves, two divine golden eyes gazed upon them with contempt.

“The First Hell is gone?! Lucifer, how far will you go for power…?”

In that moment, Lucifer’s crimson eyes glared back.

“Looks like we have a little spy… A sibling, perhaps? Those divine eyes… Oh, it’s you?”

“He can see us now?! I must escape!”

FLASH!

The divine presence vanished, and Lucifer smirked.

“No longer will you survey me as you please, Father. If you wish to watch me so badly, come yourself.”

The divine presence reappeared in its own realm, a world of pristine white clouds, blue skies, and shining stars above.

“Haaa…”

He collapsed onto the white floor of his palace, gasping for air, drained. A mere glance from his brother had nearly devoured his soul.

“Lucifer… he’s… I must tell Father—no, I must warn Henrietta and Anna as well! This is a crisis unlike anything before! Lucifer… he has ascended into a Void Ruler Candidate…!”
