As I passed through the portal, the world around me shifted, warping and transforming.

I was back home. 

As if everything I’d gone through was but a dream. 

I stood in the silence of Stronghold City at night. The sun was slowly rising; it was early in the morning. I’d spent… months there, yet barely a few hours had passed here. 

But above all… 

I saw him. 

He was there! 

Why? How?! 

I… 

Was that his soul? A lingering spirit? 

Or… 

Wait! 

The Primordial Beasts said something about… a new Heavenly Will that was taking over, and they acted really mysterious about it. 

Was that… did the Heavenly Demon turn into the Heavenly Will?! 

WHAT?! 

I dropped to the floor and started laughing while Sara and Fang Shuan looked at me with smiles. 

“Hahahaha! He really got us! He fooled us until the very end, that damn old man!” I laughed. 

“Yeah, it does seem that way. I also saw something, Master,” Fang Shuan said, chuckling. 

“I heard him, so it was really him?” Sara wondered. “Wow…” 

“He became the Heavenly Will! No way… this is crazy!” I giggled. “Well, I don’t even have to worry about that world anymore. If he’s the new supreme deity there… Pfft, just thinking about it makes me laugh somehow, and—” 

Knock, knock!

“Anna! Do you know what time it is? Why are you laughing and screaming at this hour? What’s going on?” 

My brother’s voice came from the door… Wow, I missed his voice. 

My brother… 

I ran to the door and flung it open. 

“Brother!” 

“Anna?!” 

I hugged him tightly, rubbing my face against his chest. I know this sounds weird, but I even missed his scent. When you’re used to someone—a family member, for example—their scent is something you always recognize, something that feels like “family” to you. 

This was that feeling, as odd as some might think it is. 

“What’s wrong? Why are you… are you crying? Did you have a nightmare? Wait, aren’t you taller? Huh? You’re definitely a bit taller now…” 

“A-A bit?” 

I’d noticed that my body had aged slightly in Murim, but he only noticed me as “a bit taller.” Was something making my body revert to something closer to its original appearance? 

Although I didn’t feel any weaker… perhaps my own Traits or Privileges, as I returned to my original “Story”… 

I must always remain the “Little Sister,” after all. And just when I thought I could finally be as tall as him, he’s still taller! 

This is my fate, it seems… 

But I don’t really care either way! 

“And what’s with that outfit?” 

He noticed I was wearing my elaborate venerable dress, all pink, gold, and white. It was grand and expensive looking. 

“S-Some new equipment…” I muttered. “From that weird Murim Dungeon we sneaked into with my friends.” 

“Ah… And why is Sara in your room?” My brother glared at Sara, who quickly scurried toward the door. 

“I-I’m sorry! I just came to visit her to talk about something… I’ll be leaving now, Jack. Thank you for everything,” Sara said, rushing out. 

And Fang Shuan? He was back in his doll-sized compact form, sitting on the desk and pretending to sleep. 

Hah, they really all just didn’t want to deal with my brother, huh? 

“Um, well, it was… quite a dream, yeah,” I sighed with a gentle smile. “I just wanted to tell you that you’re amazing and… that I love you a lot, brother.” 

“Huh?” My brother looked confused, tilting his head. “…I love you too.” 

He hugged me back and kissed my forehead. 

“Now, please go to sleep, Anna,” he said, his face quickly returning to its usual expressionless state. “It’s quite late, and I’d prefer if you got proper rest.” 

“I know, you don’t have to babysit me…” I sighed, smiling as I walked back to bed. 

Ah, my real, actual bed. It’s… rough? The beds back in Bestia were better, damn it. 

Maybe I could sneak into the Purgatory Realm. The palaces there have nice beds and everything, but… 

Nah, it’s better to just embrace my life here. 

Everything is finally back to normal, and yet… not really. 

I’ll never go back to normal after everything I experienced back there. 

It wasn’t just a simple Class Change Quest. No, it was so much more. 

The friends I made, the things I learned, the battles I fought… 

They’re all still so vivid in my mind, and they might stay that way for a while. 

Honestly, I couldn’t sleep. I just sat there, thinking about my life, all the things I’d gone through, and what was coming next. 

I had to rearrange my entire headspace because I’d set everything else aside while I was in Bestia. Now that I’d finally moved on, I had to return to the things I’d pushed aside. 

And that meant a lot of reorganizing and planning… 

Knock, knock.

Four hours after I’d returned, someone knocked at the door. 

“Anna? Are you awake?” 

It was Dan Baihe’s voice! Aw, I missed her so much too! 

My bestie! 

“Baiheeeee!” 

I ran to the door and flung it open to meet her. 

She looked at me with a confused expression, raising her eyebrows as her sparkling blue eyes glanced at me over. 

“Wow, what is that dress?” 

“A-Ah?! I’m still wearing it, huh? A-Anyway! Good morning!” 

I hugged her tightly, kissing her forehead and cheeks afterward. 

“E-Eh?! Anna? Why are you hugging me out of nowhere?” 

“I missed you…” 

“Missed me? We just met yesterday, though. I never went anywhere…” 

“I-I know it might feel like that to you, but not to me… I had a really long… a really long dream.” 

“…A dream?” 

“Anyway, it doesn’t really matter. Don’t worry!” 

“Okay… Um, want to have breakfast together? Your brother is cooking, and he sent me to wake you up.” 

“Sure! Oh, right, I should take a bath… I’ll change clothes. This dress… Um, I’ll save it for now. Ah, lots to do! Are you ready for another wonderful day, Baihe?” 

“Wonderful day? Well, they’ve… they’ve been pretty nice since I met you… So, yes, sure!” 

“Alright! Let’s do our best, got it?! Together!” 

I raised her arms, and she blushed in embarrassment. 

“I don’t really get it, but… Yay!” 

She was confused, but she had the spirit, that’s for sure.
