2025-03-14 17:47:19 +0000 UTCOn a tangent, Addie mainly talked about original movie soundtracks (e.g. John Williams music), but that kind of got me thinking about what movies might have the best non-original music use. For example, off the top of my head I'm thinking of films like Saturday Night Fever, Baby Driver, Pulp Fiction, The Blues Brothers, Almost Famous, or on Addie's channel more recently James Gunn's use of popular music in The Suicide Squad. And on the flip side, another interesting question is what are the best films that have NO musical soundtrack at all! Those are obviously a lot less common, but for instance No Country for Old Men, Network, and The Blair Witch Project all have no music in them (which makes for a lot of tension!) (Ironically A Quiet Place isn't on that list, it actually does have an original music soundtrack, go figure! ๐)

Congratulations John A! ๐๐๐๐ Your recommendation for Easy A (2010) just won Addie's spinning wheel. 2. The last four questions, before the Daredevil one, were originally intended to be rapid fire questions. I forgot to mention them as RFQs when I first submitted my questions, so I accidentally cut you a break this month. You'll see more RFQs next month and in future Q&As. 3. I have NO desire to see the upcoming live-action Snow White (2025) due to it being rife with A LOT of controversy regarding story changes, Zegler's public critiques of the original film, and the reimagining of the Seven Dwarfs. 4. My favorite film scores are from Dunkirk (2017) by Hans Zimmer & Ambulance (2022) by Lorne Balfe, due to their heart-pounding & anxiety-inducing vibes. I recently got into Bernard Hermann's score to Vertigo (1958). Soundtrack-wise, it's Top Gun (1986) & Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and Twister (1996) & Twisters (2024). 5. This year's Best Picture Oscar should've been Dune: Part Two (2024), 2023's should've been Top Gun: Maverick (2022), and 2018's should've been Dunkirk (2017). 6. There are TEN Fast & Furious movies (with an eleventh one coming out next year) and one spin-off. 7. My girlfriend & I DID watch the first three episodes of Agatha All Along, but it wasn't our cup of tea, so I don't think that it's worth watching for the channel. 8. My girlfriend has a cat. 9. I haven't seen Anora (2024). When that movie came out in theaters on October 18, my girlfriend & I saw Smile 2 (2024), in Dolby Cinema, instead. We were more interested in seeing the horror movie sequel since we both enjoyed the first film from 2022 and that it was just in time for Halloween.

2025-03-14 17:12:11 +0000 UTCFun Q&A as always. ๐ - After this Q&A Iโm thinking Addie ought to Google Lord of the Rings Shire Pizza Recipes. ๐ (My guess for a Hobbit pizza would be beef, potatoes, and cheese, kind of like a steak and pierogi pizza, just a guess though!) - I was confused by The Sandman comment saying thereโs not going to be a second season since it has already been filmed and is in post production for release later this year. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Either way the first season of Sandman is fantastic, well worth a watch. ๐ - As far as the Best Picture for 2025, unfortunately the only one Iโve seen so far is Conclave so I canโt compare it to the other nominees. Conclave was a good movie though, I can understand why it got nominated. ๐คทโโ๏ธ (Personally one of my favorite movies from 2024 that I saw was Flow which won Best Animated Feature and was nominated for Best Foreign Picture , it wasnโt up for Best Picture though. And I can pretty much 100% guarantee Addie would love Flow, adorable found family of cute animals for the win! ๐) - As far as the MCU goes, Iโd definitely be down to rewatch both Agatha All Along and season 3 of What Ifโฆ?, theyโre both a lot of fun. ๐ Agatha in particular is even better than Wandavision, it just gets better as it goes right through the finale. ๐ That said the rewatch of The Suicide Squad has me in the mood to rewatch Peacemaker so if I had to choose between those right now Iโd go with Peacemaker, thatโs just me though. ๐คทโโ๏ธ (Honestly Iโd suggest Addie just do a poll maybe of the top recommended single season TV shows sheโs interested in and go with that, there are a bunch of great ones that keep getting mentioned in the comments so itโs hard to pick just one!)
