I *just* rewatched the Naked Gun for the first time in over a decade. Last weekend! Not only is still a treat to watch Leslie Nielson working in tandem with the ZAZ writing/directing/production team again after Airplane, it has the benefit of being part of a film series AND the follow-up to a tv series, so it's the start of a content goldmine!

2024-07-12 04:56:23 +0000 UTCBoth are are great but the humor is so wildly different. The slapstick and gags of the Naked Gun is different from the physical comedy of Jim Carrey. I had to vote Bruce Almighty because I grew up with it but I could watch either.

2024-07-11 20:30:11 +0000 UTCWhen I was a kid I loved POLICE SQUAD and then when THE NAKED GUN came out I was less impressed. I was just older I guess. But it's the same humor. In fact, they recycle some jokes from the TV show. I'm voting for BA because I think it has Lauren Graham in it.
