Ask me anything!

It's almost time for our final Q&A of the year! Ask a question, any question!

Debate: Does Chocolate belong in the fridge? What do you think?

DazzNovaNature

It's YOUR mother, the third Daughter should be named Addie

Aaron Taft

If your Mother had 3 Daughters and she named one daughter April, and another daughter May, what would be the name of the third Daughter?

Aaron Taft

My 1st question is to tell me your thoughts on "A House Forgotten," which made it to the Top 30 out of 500 something poems in Rattle Magazine's poetry prompt competition, and I feel like I'm so close to getting published in Rattle Magazine, I can feel it with my fingertips, which will be a huge step in helping me get my book published and granting me access to a much larger audience. I will share the link to the poem in your Patreon messages shortly. My 2nd question is this: What are some cool things to do/fun places to visit in Tennessee? I will be traveling to Georgia next year for a story I'm working on, and I've visited Alabama, but I've always wanted to visit Tennessee and check out places like Nashville and Dollywood.

Zachary Huneycutt

Hey, Addie! I have 2 questions for you this month. Things could not be going better for me in my writing career, and I'd like to share some of my successes with you and show you what I've been up to in the literary world. As of this morning, my poem "The Morning Fog" was nominated in the top five runners up in a poetry competition against 149 other poems, and will be published on poetry.com, one of the world's largest online, global poetry communities.

Zachary Huneycutt

I'm in a pickle and I just have to ask myself, "What would Brian Boitano Do?" Would He: A. Use his magical fire breath to save the maidens fair. B. Travel to the year 3010 and fight the evil Robot King... Again. C. Build the Pyramids and beat up Kubla Kahn. On an unrelated note: Did you ever watch my favorite academy award nominated Musical from 1999

Aaron Taft

There was also a 2011 5-episode Mildred Pierce miniseries starring Kate Winslet and Evan Rachel Wood. It was pretty good.

There's a great commuinty with a common interest here and it would be great to connect more with each other. Would you consider setting up a members only group chat, Discord or Facebook page? I'm sure there's people here that could moderate for you if time is an issue.

PHILLIP CORNISH

2023 is coming to an end. This has been an incredible year! Let’s get to the AMA. Could you ask Ollie to grace us with a visit? You take an adventure to Sicily. You step into the Ear of Dionysius. You want to hear the echos. What do you sing? You meet music composer John Powell and find out he’s a genie. Between Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon, do you train with Po or fly with Toothless? What was your favorite and least favorite movie of this past year? (If anyone else has asked it you don’t have to repeat yourself). Take care of yourself, Addie!!

Billy Dancel

If you've answered this before, ignore me. Would you ever consider a longer-form serial TV show? Something like Game of Thrones, for example

This month I'll recommend a handful of Film Noir selections: Double Indemnity (1944), Mildred Pierce (1945), The Killers (1946), The Big Sleep (1946), The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946), and In a Lonely Place (1950)

Luis Fernandez

Which is the bigger celebration, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? What is on your traditional Christmas menu?

Luis Fernandez

In all the movie reactions you’ve done so far would you say surprised you the most wether it be good or bad?

Ernesto Lopez

Oh hey Addie, what was the best present you ever received?

NickLovesMovies

Are you interested in delving into the Star Wars universe any further? I was hoping you’d react to the “Andor” series. It is the most acclaimed of the Star Wars live-action series, with “The Mandalorian” coming in second. I also recommend the “Ahsoka” series, though there is some backstory viewing of specific “Clone Wars” and “Rebels” series episodes for deeper understanding of the plot. Though just knowledge of Ahsoka once being Anakin’s padawan is enough to engage.

Mr. Writhms

...and what were your favorite movies that CAME OUT in 2023? So far you've watched Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) & Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023). Not only that, you & Jeremy also saw The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) & Barbie (2023) in theaters as well.

Alex Tan

Hey Addie, good day to you and Happy Holidays to Addie folk. What sort of goals do you have for your "Addie Counts" reaction content for 2024? Also Do you plan on watching Oppenheimer? I'd say this film is one of the most historically important films In history, about the man who directed the project to create the world's first atomic bomb.

LightsCameraJake

As far as I know, "The New Mutants" is the only thing she wasn't a fan of that she's watched for the channel so far.

Byrd N. Hand

While I personally don't care about the fourth or fifth "Die Hard" movies, I won't put up a stink about it if she also eventually reacts to the third "Godfather" and "Terminator" movies.

Byrd N. Hand

Speaking of runner-ups, will you react to Oppenheimer (2023)? It was a runner-up on your Christopher Nolan poll, last month, as it came in second to Inception (2010).

Alex Tan

Good Questions! I had to fight the urge to answer them in a reply. But since it was mentioned above and reminded me, I also have a question for Addie. Do you intend to watch "Live Free or Die Hard" (Die Hard 4) at some point? I know some people may have recommended skipping it, but I'm betting more people like it than don't.

BubblyRainbows

Out of all the movies you've reacted to on your channel, which do you think you would most enjoy showing to someone else for their first time?

Patrick Egan

I know you don't like horror content, but would you ever consider watching a movie like "A Quiet Place" which, while classified as Horror, I would personally classify as Suspense?

BubblyRainbows

Hi Addie, I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. Did you watch Napoleon in the theaters? If you did I hope you enjoyed it but if not would you be interested in reacting to it on the channel? It is supposed to be released on Apple TV in the near future. Take care and I hope you have a Merry Christmas! P.S. I know it’s gotten mixed reviews for generally understandable reasons, but I really enjoyed it and would like to see what you think of it.

Thomas Wetherell

I've noticed you don't put an end time for voting on your polls. Roughly when do you pull the trigger on the winner, and what are your criteria for also choosing to watch any runners-up?

Byrd N. Hand

If you haven't already heard, a fourth "Beverly Hills Cop" movie is coming to Netflix some time in the first half of next year (and, yes, Judge Reinhold will be returning as Billy). Will you finally react to the third one before its release in preparation? I know it doesn't have the best reputation, but, to be fair, you *have* ended up enjoying a fair amount of other such divisive movies that you've watched for the channel (the same reason I'd also implore you to give the third "Godfather" movie a chance; maybe not right this month [and that's fine], but somewhere down the road, at least? 🙏).

Byrd N. Hand

What were your top 5 favorite things you've watched in 2023?

Mathias

Merry Christmas Addie. What does Christmas mean to you, and how do you celebrate it?

Mathias

Do you have list of all the movies/tv shows you've seen where you can also suggest new ones or vote for ones? Also why don't you dislike movies/tv shows? Would that put viewers off your patreon/youtube-channel or do you not like to be negative in general?

Would you rather survive the Nakatomi Plaza scenario in Die Hard (1988), the Washington Dulles International Airport scenario in Die Hard 2: Die Harder (1990) or the New York City scenario in Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995)?

In your December Q&A from last year, you did mention that you got Jeremy the hot sauces from the Hot Ones YouTube videos. Which one is his favorite and have you tried any of them? In your last Q&A, you did mention that you've seen Aquamarine (2006). What did you think of it? My family & I saw it in theaters when it first came out, back in 2006, and enjoyed it. Also in your last Q&A, you did mention that you've seen The Princess Diaries (2001) and its sequel, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004). What did you think of both movies? Have you heard? The Princess Diaries 3 is in the works. My girlfriend & I plan on watching it when it comes out. Are there any t-shirts and sweaters that you would like to wear with it in the future? Can we get a slideshow of your favorite winter outfits? Will you react to The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone (2020)? It's a newly recut version of The Godfather: Part III (1990) that vindicates its status in the Godfather trilogy. Where does The Godfather: Part II (1974) rank with the other Oscar-winning movies that you've watched that won the Academy Award for Best Picture? Speaking of The Godfather: Part II (1974), in your reaction to that movie, I noticed your A24 t-shirt. Is there a backstory to that? Speaking of A24, now that you've seen Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022), will you react to more A24 movies? Have you heard of Tyler Durden? On an unrelated note, will you react to Fight Club (1999)? What was your favorite sponsor segment that you made?

Alex Tan

Hi Addie, how are you today? How are Jeremy & Ollie? What is your all-time favorite Christmas movie? Currently, mine is Die Hard (1988). What are your new year's resolutions? What are Jeremy's new year's resolutions? What are Ollie's new year's resolutions? One of the sweetest photos on your Instagram is that of you and Jeremy during Christmas, wearing matching pajamas. Is there a backstory behind it? Will you react to Backdraft (1991) with Kurt Russell? Will you react to Ronin (1998), a straight pure action/thriller movie with Robert De Niro? Will you react to the Director's Cut of Reindeer Games (2000) with Ben Affleck? If I were to direct you in a rom-com, who would play your love interest? Where does National Treasure (2004) rank with all of the other Jerry Bruckheimer movies that you've watched? In your holiday movie suggestion thread on Patreon, you did mention that you've seen Elf (2003). What did you think of it and what was your favorite scene in the movie? If any of the fake promos from Scrooged (1988) were made into actual TV specials, which one would you watch, The Night the Reindeer Died with Lee Majors, Bob Goulet's Old-fashioned Cajun Christmas, Father Loves Beaver, Scrooge (the live retelling of A Christmas Carol that's hosted by Sir John Houseman) or Scrooge (the one that looks like The Manson Family Holiday Special with terrorists, murder and nuclear explosions)?
