AUGUST Q&A!

3:10 to Yuma and Hostiles are both excellent

Travis Ballard

We should probably put "Blazing Saddles" on the list as well, though it's more of a comedy than a Western.

For your fandom name, I'll put forth, "Group of people who enjoy watching Addie react to movies and are also pleased when there's a guest appearance by Ollie", or "The G'Ollies" for short. For modern Westerns, I'll recommend: Modern Classics: Unforgiven (1992), Tombstone (1993), No Country for Old Men (2007) (more Western-Noir that straight Western) Movies I think will appeal to Addie: Open Range (2003) (there's a bit of a love story there), Hidalgo (2004) (more Western-adjacent than Western) Solid Movies: The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2006), Appaloosa (2008), True Grit (2010), The Hateful Eight (2015)

"Across the Spider-Verse" was really good, though since it's very much a part-1-of-2 movie, I can also see the value in waiting until we're closer to the release of the 3rd movie.

Honestly, I kinda want Addie to just spend the bulk of September going back and picking up on at least 1 or 2 of the next outings of the franchises she's left dangling so far (before switching gears for the scarier stuff in October; though a couple of said franchises would apply for that month as well) -- namely "The Matrix" and "Terminator"; I can wait with James Bond. I know some want her to go back to "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Predator," and "The Mummy" as well... maybe also "Men in Black." It'd be a good time for her to also do "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" and "Dial of Destiny" as well. (Though I personally don't care about any of these latter ones.)
