THE WOLVERINE - Full Length Reaction!

I'm also hoping for the Rogue cut, as it's the only version I have, which makes it much easier to follow along.

IMO, reactors should stick with theatrical release versions. It is what we all reacted to the first time through, and it is usually the most widely available.

Hi Addie, If possible, could you please watch the ROGUE Cut version , of Days of Future Past. Either way, can you please say Which version , you're watching, so we know which version to watch along with you. Thank you so much ! 😊😊

Awesome reaction vid. Hadn't seen this in a while, so it was very nice to revisit. I also just wanna quickly offer as a friendly recommendation, that you watch The Rogue Cut of "X-Men Days of Future Past". It's slightly more inconvenient bc it's only available on Amazon Prime but it's just so much more satisfying with like almost 20 extra minutes of X-Men X-travaganza lol

Chip MC

So, we should expect "X-Men: Days of Future Past" later TODAY? 😁

They don't give too much of an explanation for why Charles looks like Charles, but there are some that could make sense. For one, he actually does look different, but he simply subconsciously uses his powers to appear to everyone as Charles. Other people have already said it, it isn't a big deal, but for the next movie, (X-Men: Days of Future Past) I would recommend you watching the Rogue Cut. Some extra scenes and sequences in there that are pretty juicy. It's not required, but it's similar to the Extended Edition of Lord of The Rings. It's just better when it's the Rogue Cut 😅 Can't wait for the next upcoming movies, Addie!

One of my favorite actors in this movie other than our dear Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, is Hiroyuki Sanada. He was Mariko’s Father. You have seen him before. He was Katsumoto’s right hand man, Ujio, in The Last Samurai. Logan and Mariko’s story was one of my first favorite when I started following Wolverine and then the X-Men. As for Charles and Erik When I grew up I always heard, “When it’s you versus me, I pick me. But, when it’s them versus us, I pick us.” I immediately thought of that when I saw that scene. I really enjoyed your compassion for Logan. That made this reaction all the more enjoyable. Take care, Addie!! p.s. …. If you or your editor can include your “count”ing of the 10 words that was pretty funny.

Another grand reaction addie, when you get to days of future past be sure to watch the rogue cut extended edition, it adds much to the film.

Happy Mayday. Your reaction to the end was just like mine 10 years ago. I look forward to your Days of Future Past reaction next. 🌆

The return of Magnet and Xavier is probably the best end credits scene in any Marvel film period. Three incredible actors, two Shakespearean, archetypal adversaries coming together to recruit our hero, all of them so well fleshed out. I love this set up and Days of Future Past is my favourite X-Men movie.

This film as a whole is loosely based on the miniseries "Wolverine" from 1982 which began in the Canadian Rockies before the action shifted to 1980s Japan in the modern day. The movie itself draws heavily from the miniseries as like this film it's really the first solo Wolverine film minus Origins. Logan being in the pacific in August 1945 is a little difficult to explain as just a year before he was stationed in the Western theatre taking part in the Normandy landings June 1944 like depicted in the opening of Origins. My guess is the allies saw Logan as one hell of a solider and decided to send him to the pacific on some special missions. In the comics Logan did fight in the Pacific as well and was even a POW showcased in the comic Wolverine: Logan in which he was also caught in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. This is what the opening is loosely based on but with alot of changes as the comic book has a much greater story surrounding these events. So Kenuichio Harada in the comics is the Silver Samurai which you can also see him wearing Silver Samurai armour in the film. Mariko Yashida the Princess is also from the comics who was romantic with Logan. The armour at the end of the film looks much closer to what the Sliver Samurai looks like in the comics a massive modern suit designed to look like Samurai armour big difference being who is wearing it in the film as it's not Kenuichio Harada but Ichirō Yashida. in X3 Professor Xavier died and Magneto lost his powers. At the end it hinted at Magneto moving a chess pieces while in an end credit scene it cuts to a hospital showing someone in a bed and the voice of Charles. Pretty much Charles transferred himself over to his brain dead identical twin brother who was overseen by Moira MacTaggert. In the comic's Charles does not have a twin with the only real brother being Cain Marko who is actually the Juggernaut. Pretty sure there Brother in laws though. This end credit scene just sets up Days of Future Past which will explain alot and is my fav X-Men film. Overall fun film that has a few problems but so much better than Origins. Cannot wait for you're Logan reaction 100% go into this blind it's my favourite X-Men related film but like I said as a whole Days of Future Past is my fav. 100% recommend watching Logan BEFORE you watch Deadpool 2 for spoiler reasons. And finally this film had a really cool deleted scene in the airplane where Yukio gives Logan a case. Inside is a very comic accurate helmet, outfit, and gloves that seem to be based on his Brown-Ochre Wolverine suit introduced in Uncanny X-Men #139 (1980) and carrying over into the solo Wolverine Mini Series. But don't get too existed as Wolverine never wears the suit or helmet in any of the future films. Link to Deleted Scene - https://youtu.be/2sPvTM7Ry7Y?t=61

Speaking of James Mangold, who directed this movie, I also suggest Cop Land (1997), Girl, Interrupted (1999), 3:10 to Yuma (2007), Knight and Day (2010, UNRATED), Ford v Ferrari (2019) & Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023, upcoming). #MoreJamesMangoldForAddieCounts

Happy Monday & Happy May, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed this movie. I intend to watch this movie after I catch up on the entire X-Men franchise.
