They make it like I the viewer was living in their world and see some legends about lion turtles but no one knows if that’s true or not. Like how dragons are a part of Chinese culture but no one saw that far in the past, (of course dragons never existed). But for me when I reached that episode it was like, “it’s true! They really do exist! Does anyone else know about this? Does Iroh know about this?”. If they made it in a way where we were certain from season 1 about everything’s existence, or everything was displayed on a map where we can just read that world’s truths, then there would be nothing to discover about anything anymore. It’s like an adventure show but there’s no feeling for “adventure”.

Its not as good as atla, but thats also because its different having other strength and weaknesses of the show. Its more mature. And for me the main antagonists are way better in korra than in atla (except azula).

Technically speaking it is foreshadowed; you can see Aang finding out about them in the Library episode back in season 2, and there's a shocking amount of imagery inspired by them in the show; but it's not exactly done well... Especially when you look behind the scenes and find out that they wanted to introduce Lion Turtles (or the things that would become Lion Turtles) all the way back in Season 1; but for whatever reason weren't able to do it.

And damn man, remove the subtitles for the finale of the show! 😂It’ll ruin a scene because of the pauses between sentences, it’s like getting your reaction before it even plays out😂

I thought you’d be furious with me.” because he might’ve thought he’d get a similar reaction like his father. I like how even when Zuko was banished and not considered a prince anymore, Iroh always says “prince Zuko” when talking to him since season 1. Iroh knew about the dragons, but what wasn’t explained is how did he see Aang as a spirit on Roku’s dragon?
