Finally, watched it with the family. My daughter (11 year old) liked it, but thought Wonder Woman was a much better film. Wife liked it, but even made a comment that Brie Larson was too covered up. I thought it was a 7/10. I didn't read the comics, but had done some research on who Mar Vell was, so I was disappointed when her power seemed to all come from the tesseract. Favorite part was Colston covering for Fury and I liked how this movie served as an origin story (as much as I think we're going to get) for both.

Can I say congratulations?! You finally made me choke in my beer with that long back comment. Saw it twice in 3 days with 2 very different groups of people. First time i was amused. Second time I sighed when it started with the slowmotion sand.
