Aha, we were wondering about that, and hadn't figured it out yet! Thank you!

Not sure if you learned this already but in case you haven't the white powder that is sprinkled on wounds is sulfa powder. It's an early antibiotic and coagulant that was standard issue for Allied forces.

I couldn't agree with you more. This episode was so intense and yes, absolutely leaves you feeling like holy, I have it sooooo easy.

Y'all have reached what I consider to be the two pinnacle episodes of this show, "Bastogne" and the next episode "The Breaking Point". These two episodes really could be considered one big episode as it is all about Easy Company being put through the most they've ever dealt with during the war and the fact the real men this is based on had to suffer through all of this and lived really makes you appreciate the lives you have.

Oh wow, so it's like getting a mini blood transfusion right there on the battlefield. I had no idea, thank you!

Plasma is the white liquid part of blood, without the red blood cells. If you've lost blood it won't help as much as getting an actual blood transfusion but it at least helps restore some blood *volume*, and it has a much longer shelf life than whole blood so it would've been more practical to keep on hand in a war zone like this.
