GOOEYCANDY Newsletter & Updates! 🎆 [DECEMBER2025 - Issue #24]: "New Year, News Letter!"

Welcome back for the final Gooeycandy Newsletter of 2025! Let's dive right in!

So first I'd just like to say, this year has been one of my favorite years of doing gooeycandy. I feel like I've finally been able to work on things I've been too busy to even start in past years! So thanks so much for supporting me on this ride!

I'm a big fan of shaking things up for the new year and improving where I can, so here are some changes I plan to make:

• Single newsletter on the 1st that is more about "recapping the prior month's progress & handing out monthly rewards" instead of announcements. I've realized I've fallen into the trap of feeling like I need some big thing to present every 2 weeks and that's led to some rushed work this year.

• Limiting what I'm focusing on to 2 or 3 things at a time to reduce feeling overwhelmed with projects. I love to hop around but I think being stricter about what I'm working on will help things get completed sooner!

• More Patreon exclusives. You guys are what keep my head above the water, so I'll try my best to have more content that is just for you next year!

• More original character content. Hands On: Candy WILL be released in 2026, you can hold me to that! But more art in general of my characters will be a focus!!

• Commissions being open more often. This has been a request for a while, and life has gotten expensive lately, so I'm gonna give commissions another go! They will be opened to patrons first, always! And will have a $20 discount for patrons.

  With that being said, 2 COMMISSIONS SLOTS ARE OPEN FOR EARLY 2026!

Pre-orders for my art book are planning to begin in early January! They will launch alongside a fun little interactive event I've planned that I hope you will all enjoy! Stay tuned! What was your greatest accomplishment or favorite memory from this year?

For me, it had to be tabling in Mexico for Barapalooza. It was so surreal to be in a different country, meeting people who love my art and other artists who share my profession. It was a dream come true. I hope to attend again next year (and hopefully not get incredibly ill this time lol).

So I did a lot these past two weeks, but I don't remember much of it because this weekend was one of the most emotionally taxing times of my life. I won't go into details, but just be sure to love your loved ones while they're around! You never know how much time you have left with someone! 🌠
