List of Fixes You Never Saw (Troublemakers Edition)
Added 2025-11-11 19:30:47 +0000 UTCThe Triple Trouble update ended up MASSIVE again when it came to new tech - triple boss with separate decks, new co-op role, etc, so it went through a multitude of QA rounds and endless changes. That's why we thought it'd be fun to share some internal patch notes for the update! We hope it gives extra appreciation of the work that went into the update behind the scenes.
Fixed various stock effect to not be cleansed properly (mostly M10).
Added a CLEANSED message (similar to "STOCK") when at least 1 effect has been cleansed from the target player.
Fixed so KO'd players gets cleansed, but do not gain HP.
Fixed so HP adjustments are recalculated when cleansing effects such as Health Down.
Fixed so stats boosts are correctly applied upon norma.
Fixed so Bolster's cooldown is shown in the player info UI.
Removed the ability to target KO'd units with Bolster.
Updated graphic assets to reflect the revised role icon.
Added icons.
Reinforce is no longer able to target KO'd players.
Reinforce cannot be used on a player you already reinforced (still possible to reinforce over someone else).
Using Reinforce then Bolster will not re-enable the use of Reinforce again.
The reduced MOV sfx has been removed.
Fixed so the Reinforce shield color will not be overriden by a Protect shield color.
The Reinforce buff being lost on KO is intended (Stat buffs and MOV penalty cannot be listed under the vanguard's stock effects due to how it works - those effects aren't on the unit itself, but depends on the Reinforce buff on another unit completely, thus cannot be listed here without (probably) some major headache on the code side)
There is no back button yet added to either Reinforce, Bolster or Protect, as the button mentioned ended up to be part of the card selection UI and not the unit selection, which are two different logics - it will be investigated if it can be added.
Implemented a way to check on the effect setters, should show P1, P2, P3, P4 on given buffs to allies with their respective player color. Debuffs applied by the boss will have an icon instead, and red text that means "this debuff can be cleansed".
Implemented the Role Hyper (with wrong artwork).
Implemented the Vanguard Co-op ratings for all units.
Implemented a way to have Reinforce's debuff showing in the Vanguard's stock effects.
Bolster can now target KO'd allies again.
CoopRoleVanguard updated, nvm the liar above.
Every single Steam related functionality redirected to allow its removal as hard dependency.
Added French language option.
Bolster: gives "cleansing aura".

Adjusted Prison Break (Gremlin)'s effect: Effect Duration: 3 Chapters. Gain +2 EVD. If you are not challenged before effect ends, gain permanent +1 ATK and DEF.
Fixes "Hmm..." affecting the damage output of Adventure and Mimyuu Power.
Added lightbulb icon on Gremlin to indicate that "Hmm..." is active.
Fixes "Hammer!"'s damage text not appearing on the player being hit.
Fixes Doom not being removed after landing on a home panel.
Made sure KO'd players don't get targeted by "Hammer!" or "Big Hammer!".
Fixes desyncs caused by Adventure and possibly more of the new boss cards.
Fixes Brutal Traps causing Invisible Bombs to bug graphically.

Various text changes for the new boss abilities, where the "ally" term is replaced by "player" or "enemy" for consistency.
The deck size of each unit that makes up the "Troublemakers" boss has been reduced from 5 to 3, by trimming the first and last levels in the ability level distribution.
Gets rid of redundant ability announcements when boss is going to summon a minion.
Improved feedback for whenever Prison Break's permanent buff is prevented.
Fixes bear traps not appearing when under the effect of Brutal Traps.
Fixes an error that would cause Beach Breaker to try and burn invalid panels, leading to a game crash.

Fixes multiple Home Sweepers appearing when playing against Troublemakers.
Fixes Pay Attention persisting after the player affected by it has triggered its effect.
Fixes the portrait of summons appearing on the wrong place.
Fixes Suffer from the Inevitable Death Crisis fully healing the boss.
Forced CPUs to be unable to use Play of the Gods or Forced Revival when playing against the Troublemakers boss.
Fixes Forced Revival not removing Enrage from any active bosses, and not properly reviving any KO'd bosses.
Increased Max HP of Beach Buster (Mimyuu) to 20, from 15.
Adds +1 DEF to Troublemaker bosses while one of their allies is KO'd. Removes +1 DEF from Breaker's Enrage.
Some adjustments have been made to ensure that if the boss is to play multiple cards on the same turn, it'd follow the sequence of left to right.
Enabled new global event: Triple Trouble.
Added rewards for leveling the Vanguard Co-op role (same as the other roles).
Added die reward for beating Troublemakers on Hyper difficulty.
Changed Menacing Boss, Hard-shelled Boss and Slippery Boss to only affect the currently active boss.
Fixes Shroom Zoom event not completing properly.
Added new mixers.
Fixed mixer descriptions not being displayed.
Removed Warfare CO from the Extreme pool.
Added hair colors for new swimsuit cosmetics. Fixes Tomato being displayed on the costume selection when selecting cosmetics for Mimyuu.

Changed the names of the boss units: Big the Breaker -> Beach Breaker, Big the Builder -> Beach Builder, Small the Gremlin -> Beach Buster.
Edited text observations noted in the issue card, except for Take Your Dying Breath's.
Fixes some self-inflicted boss stock effects running out before the boss' turn begins.
Fixes revival timer not being removed upon a boss' revival.
Fixes ally summons counting towards the effect of "Entertain Mimyuu!".
Fixes Mimyuu Power doing damage to players twice.
Added Mimyuu animation and camera movement to further improve feedback of when Prison Break's secondary effect gets cancelled.
Fixes a bug that would make Summer Beast not discard the upcoming ability after being KO'd, and the behavior of clearing the upcoming boss cards of a boss that was just KO'd is now exclusive to Troublemakers.
Fixes Accept Your Doom targeting summons, and not burning home panels if setting the Doom effect fails.
Fixes Summer Beast summoning 2 seagulls at once at difficulties Normal or higher.
Updated the description of Sneakily to match the current behavior where the +2 ATK buff is applied when challenging non-player units.
Adjusted level of Troublemaker hyper cards from 1 to 0.
Fixes Home Sweeper appearing multiple times when playing against Troublemakers.
Fixes Entertain Mimyuu considering KO'd players for its effect.
Fixes a bug that would make blue bombs placed by Bomber mixer not explode at all.

Removes lingering +1 DEF on the effect description of Beach Breaker's Enrage.
Burning panel effect animation has been slowed down.
Fixes the display order of Launch and Dive to match the order that they're actually played in.
Adds new Co-op boss BGM.
Fixed a bug that would make Beach Buster not play a card on every chapter while enraged.
Fixes Beach Breaker unable to get enraged after one of the bosses is revived, before Beach Breaker herself becomes enraged.
Fixes bear traps appearing over cards placed on the field that aren't trap type cards.
Fixes a bug that would make Big the Jonathan not use Dive.
Made Melt in the Azure Flame affect all units as intended.
Fixes a bug that would make the active boss use their ability when their turn starts, rather than when the players' and their summons' turns have been concluded. This issue only applied to the Troublemakers boss.
Fixes a crash when CPUs would try to use Bolster. CPU logic has been improved so that they use Reinforce on low HP units and won't try to overwrite existing ones.
Shroom Zoom checklist is cleared automagically if ending rewards were already obtained. If cleared but missing rewards, the module is given to the player for free.
Added new achievements.

Beach Builder now drops 1/3 stars on being KO'd. Beach Buster drops 1/4 stars on being KO'd.
Adjusted description of Whimsical Windmill and Affluence to indicate that using them makes the player Fight all Bosses.
All Enrages now have unique name to differ from each other.
Various Troublemakers abilities got buffed.

Updated define names for Buster's Rage and its effect, and updated the define names for the unit cards of the Troublemakers bosses to match their current names.
Fixes a bug where queued up cards would not get updated along with the card from the Boss' deck that just leveled up.
When rendering item status, "Sold Out" now takes priority over "Coming Soon".
