It's the Friday Rambles, on this last day of February.

Gamedev Stuff

Another busy week of doing Overtime Update stuff. We're finishing up three languages, playtesting, and finalizing everything. I updated all remaining assets, and playtesters found a bunch of bugs and LQA issues that I needed to fix, and I think it's pretty rock solid now. The remaining language is a big ol' question mark. Anyway, we're definitely missing the first planned release date (before Visual Novel Fest), but I'm really hoping we don't miss the backup planned release date (before Steam Spring Sale). Speaking of these sales, the game will be discounted a little more than the usual discount for these, because I really need to move some copies, as they say. Oh yeah, I need to make the Sales Pic.

I finished building the bonus gallery, which is basically an achievement list each with a picture associated with it (some shown in game, some repurposed from older arts I've made, some completely original) with the guest art button tacked on to it. It'll be useful for Switch, which doesn't have an achievements system, and maybe some people will think it's fun or useful. Of course, I also finished all the achievements for the new update, although I can't add them to Steam yet until the update's out. Some of the achievements are in this list, but won't be on Steam, because I don't want to add yet another Lumber Lass grinding achievement (except for those who really want to do it, which is why it comes with a Lumber Lass related unlock >:))

Anyway, this next week will be spent checking off the last remaining boxes for the final steps remaining for each language, and hoping and crying and begging that I might be able to start playtesting the last language sometime next week. After that, who knows? Maybe I'll take a break while the money from everyone buying a free update comes rolling in. Maybe I'll eat a burger.
