It's the Friday Rambles. I'm on time (barely). I have mostly recovered from my cold. I am jogging again. I am healing.
One thing I learned during my game dev journey is that very few people buy your Steam Game when it's not on Steam Sale. They're all wishlisting your game, waiting for a discount. I mean, I do that too! But anyway, they say that you should discount your game 12+ times a year! Not discounting at every possible opportunity isn't good business! But that's like, more than once a month! I'm already behind!
Anyway, with that in mind, and with the summer sale 2 weeks away, I discounted EMDND just because, so I can have some food money this month. But so far it's doing pretty good. For some reason this particular sale has been doing much better than usual in Korea. Did a popular vtuber stream my game or something? Who knows. Anyway, I appreciate it, and behold, it's another localization that was worth doing.
We're very close to 1,000 reviews. Can you believe there are almost 1,000 people who are this cool enough to leave a nice review on my game? I hope we get 1,000 reviews in time for the Steam Summer Sale, so more people think my game is cool and good and buy it.

Above: We're so close. I can smell it.
I received my new stickers this week, so I reopened the shop, after a 2-3 month hiatus while I was moving and traveling and getting situated or whatever. Will be good to get the additional side income again. Of course, use this link to get the 15% discount for supporters: LINK

Above: New stickers and prints promo shot, which is not very great, as is tradition. I am not good at product glamour shots. I uh... prefer to let the products speak for themselves. And I can't have too many orders because I'll be spending too much time packing and shipping. Yeah, that's why.
This time the stickers have clear backgrounds, and I think I like how they turned out enough that I'll be making many more of them. They're a little bit more expensive to make though, unfortunately. But they do look real snazzy and I like to think it's worth it. The print looks really nice too. It feels like something someone would give away at a convention or something. Maybe with an autograph. Lol
As for video game dev, of the EMDND Omake variety, I've been making good progress, actually. I think I can get a beta version done in the next two-three weeks. Now that the outline is done (see: last week's Ramble), the work has been going smoothly. It helps that most of the art assets are already in the game. The entire intro portion is done, and I've completed Hana and Skye's phone calls. I've also written a couple fake endings and the text for a couple office locations. Well the first drafts of these, anyway. Here are some screenshots of funny dialogue out of context.
Spoilers, maybe. But I've left out the actual spoilers.

Above: Why is Kini talking like that? Who knows
According to my word counter I've written about 9,000 words, which is totally shocking to me and is somewhat foreboding as far as the final word count is concerned. I'm definitely not planning on this being as long as the original game. Ouchie, my localization budget.
Well, now that we're all settled and not sick anymore and back to work, the coming weeks should be much more productive. Thank you for your support, as always. See you next time!
