Friday Rambles 2024-06-07

It's the Friday Rambles. The year is half over. Or something.

Still doing moving-in stuff, still taking care of 2 months of stuff I had to put off during my trip, and still getting over a cold. I also spent most of my week driving back and forth from different places. So I haven't been productive at all. So it goes. Every day there's more stuff I need to do that has nothing to do with the job I supposedly have, which is stressing me out. Whatever. Things'll be better next week.

I did make a small amount of progress on the EMDND Omake, though, for what it's worth. I wrote out another outline, and laid out all the dialogue stubs, and now I'm writing out all the set pieces that I know will be in the game. Then it'll be connecting them all together, overlaying the overarching narrative and theme and making sure it plays good. Will probably make good progress with that next week, assuming I get any sort of momentum going. The actual work that'll be going into this is gonna be like a month or two. I'm probably overestimating the amount of people who care, but the longer this isn't finished the heavier the weight of perceived expectations becomes, and more importantly, the longer I can't start working on Game 2. But what can I do, I have responsibilities outside of my online/gamedev presence.

Penny: Hey, are you ever going to tell me what those weird unknown responsibilities you keep talking about even are?

Hana: No, because it's none of your business. Leave me alone!

Wow! What a whiny Rambles this week. I wanna jog to work off this negative energy, but I'm still coughing. Oh well! Sorry! Don't worry next week's update will be a-ok!
