Friday Rambles 2024-04-19
Added 2024-04-19 11:27:36 +0000 UTCAnother Friday, another Rambles.
As promised last week, I drew something as penance for posting nothing but pictures of food and buildings on my socials for the past two weeks.

Above: Rare comic, and also an excuse to put draw a Helltaker reference
I was not able to spend much time on this, because I had a tight schedule of traveling to places and looking at buildings and eating food. But I do like how the some of the pictures turned out, considering how little time I spent on them and how long it's been since I drew anything at all.

Anyway, I should draw more.
I am currently in Seoul, doing city things, wishing I still lived here. It's gonna be hard to go back home and have nothing going on and still have to drive 20 minutes to everywhere again. Oh well!

Honestly, I really am getting a bit antsy to start working on my game again. I'll have to get over it and force myself to relax and enjoy myself because being actually productive isn't gonna happen. I guess I could just draw pictures instead.
Speaking of pictures, I bought a few Japanese artbooks, in a Korean bookstore. Ironically, it was easier that way. For me. They were on sale, too.

I'm gonna try to get better at illustration and design in general. Note that unlike every other artbook I have, they don't strictly feature artists working in a typical "anime" style. The TRPG Graphic Design book is an interesting choice, I know. It's mostly designs and examples for like, TRPG rulebooks and campaigns, but it also seemed very applicable for fancy video game UIs and menus as well as printed material like zines. I gotta broaden my horizons and level up my presentation skills for Game 2, you know?
The 1 year anniversary of EMDND launch is in like two weeks, but I don't have anything ready for it. I'm not sure I'll have time. I'll just have to make due with a sale and a crappy comic and a message of thanks, and just make the best bonus story update I can when I get back home.
Thanks for your support, as always! I'll try to draw some more before the next Rambles. See you next week.
