April Community Update #1
Added 2022-04-08 20:34:08 +0000 UTCHello!
In the next few days, I will be dropping Part 4 of "The Basics of Unreal Engine 4 Modding".
In the video we will go over the first group of filetypes that is the directly visual filetypes:
-Textures
-Materials
-Material Instances
We will discuss what each type is and why you would mod them.
Why you wouldnt ever replace a Texture with a whole different one with a Texture mod, but instead should ALWAYS do that in a Material mod.
Why material instances are very helpful in making the development / modding process faster and why they can make an impact on the performance of your mod.
We already went over Materials and Material Instances briefly in the 2nd tutorial where we did our first mod, but I think these visual types need their own video.
NEWS ABOUT THE UNREAL MOD UNLOCKER:
In the last couple of days I finally added compatibility with 4.0 as well as:
-4.1
-4.2
-4.3
-4.4
-4.5
This means I now have FULL basic loose file compatibility.
4.0 -> 4.27
That means that the Unreal Mod Unlocker will soon be compatible with every single Unreal Engine 4 version (as long as it was compiled using the default settings with Visual Studio).
This will be released to Early Access supporters next week! :D
These changes will also be released in the next Unreal Mod Unlocker Pro 0.32.0 update next month! :)
The Unreal Mod Unlocker has gone from having VERY limited compatibility to having FULL standard compiled compatibility in about 2 years time :)
With the majority of the work being done in the last 3 months.
This also means that I will be able to focus much more on AES key extraction and .sig unlocking as well as NEW features!
Once we have full standard compiler support for AES keys and .sig files, I am looking to take a look at the UCAS / UTOC files. So we have that to look forward to ^^
Thank you all for your support!
