Hey, last time I've tried drawing water it was on 2020 for a Fenhawke drawing ! Time to redo (painfully) the same thing ???

My other full drawing this month will feat. Cesar and Garrett hehe. Cause I have to work on book 2 with them !

Hello everyone !

As you may know (if you follow me on twitter), I need an iron injection cause I'm in full iron deficiency ! : DDD And strangely, being anemic AND doing sport isn't the best thing so I need to get this injection asap (this and the fact that, well, I'm VERY low in Iron. Like in a dangerously low way)... But it's expensive. That's why I need to work on commissions again and as I'm nearly done with the last one, I'm opening 2 more now but... Special ones !

I dunno but Cid reminded me a lot about Rosa and Arlo in the Brooklyn Nine-Nine show ! I'm sure the moment he had found Mid in the forest, he was ready to fight anyone who tried to touch her... Well, this drawing was really 100% done to please me but I still hope you'll like it too !

(FF16) Soft morning

Truth is that I've got this sketch I very liked back then and just decided to finish it... And then, something mysterious happened : I wrote a thing quite related to the drawing, or at least, to the mood of it. Helped with a dear friend to correct my lacking grammar (hm hmmmm), I posted it on Ao3 (https://archiveofourown.org/works/53294275 if you're curious). I didn't share any writing stuff since at least 10 years so I was freaking out when I posted it Yesterday... I rather draw, it's easier to me haha !

Well, long story short : I needed some fluff and things happened.

Agrougrou - St Valentin 2023

Can you believe that my first 2024 full drawing is... Agrougrou again ??? Well I'll say AT LEAST... Cause it was actually the drawing I wanted to do for Valentine's day from 2023 ! Cesar is still an ass (quite literally), Garrett is still in love... Well, everything seems fine ! They probably crashed at Garrett's home, the boy likes to read and his mum gives him new plants every weeks...
I wanted to try something soft with them for once ! I hope you'll enjoy !

Hmmm... Something happened in June... HEY, FUNNY COINCIDENCE AS IT'S MY NAMESAKE !

More seriously thank you for your support in 2023. Let's do even more in  2024 !  2023 wasn't exactly what I wanted in the end but when I look at all the  drawings I still was able to do, I'm proud and happy. Bonus point : the  FF16 fandom is incredible ! I've met some amazing people and I'm glad to  be able to call some of then friends even : ) I was up and down many times. I ended the year completely dead tired but  I was so happy to travel to do more conventions ! I unfortunately  messed my 2 attempts at fanzines. I still have to learn to deal with pressure when I draw. Not to block myself. I need to continue to learn to accept mistakes, to relax my hand.

My  goals for 2024 are easy : Enjoying my art. Again and again. It's a long travel, I need to learn a lot but I'll do it. I want to draw my OCs comic too ! It's still ongoing. I'll work more on my Patreon too. I'm  nearly done with the changes that will come before the end of this  month. The fall of Xtwitter and the shitty socials algorithm all around helped me to take some decision about it. Don't worry, it's minimal changes, but I want to push a little my Patreon and reward you a little bit better than the last year :  ) 

Well... I hope you'll stick a little  more with me !  Sorry in advance for the many more Cid and Clive you'll probably see there, the babies are still VERY COMFORTABLE in my head. But I hope you don't mind some werewolf and vamp too !

I finally finished the (very late) Secret Santa for Cinder on the Firestorm Discord so enjoy ! All I was thinking while drawing it was "home" so I hope you'll enjoy the little family here ! Directly coming from her fanfic "to the man I knew before" and more exactly from the followings short stories. Drawing children is still complicated but I was so happy to draw THE FLUFF AND LOVE again.

(FF16) Secret Santa - Archduke and Lord Commander

Here's my Christmas gift for Shadowstar on the Firestorm's discord.

The prompt was "Cid and Clive dancing as partners at a giant celebration at the Hideaway (maybe someone's wedding?). I was so excited to draw it ! I went full into it and turned it into "Cid and Clive dancing together as Archduke and Lord Commander" because it's my idea of the perfect ending. Them, ruling together and being in love.

I just want you to notice that I HATE CLOTHES. I usually draw naked people because of OBVIOUS reasons. So I really tried here !

As you may have noticed, I didn't post on November. October was tough and I still struggle to finish my 2 drawings on time SO I decided to pause the billing for December ! Like this, I can finish my drawings peacefully and you won't pay "for nothing" !

Aaaand you keep your money for your end of the year gifts haha ! I'm still planning to post this month but you won't be charged until the 1st January !

And time to say thank you again for your support, for real. I hope to draw even more next year. This one was a complicated one cause I need to find the right pace to enjoy what I do and to be able to grow as an artist. It's not easy, I'm exhausted like I ran a marathon BUT I'm happy and glad of what I did.

As I've already said, I'm gonna change some stuff for this page next year so I hope you still be there !

You know, I'm obsessed by FF16 at the moment. And by obsessed I mean I'm really REALLY into it meaning that I'm reading fanfics too (last time it happened it was 2015 with Dragon Age). And one of my favourite one is named "To the man I knew before". So the author (Cinder) talked to me about a very specific part and I took it like a challenge to draw it. It was difficult cause it's WAAAAY out of my usual things to draw. You know how much I love to draw lovely lovers full in love... So Anger ??? Pain ??? How to draw it ???

So I hope you'll enjoy it cause I'm happy to see how it turned !

I've put a little warning on this one cause... Well. It's maybe not something you want to see in the end !

Btw I know some of you are waiting on Cesar and Garrett, and I totally understand ! I'm still working on my babies too even if I can't really show a lot for the moment ! See you soon !

Tools !

Well, I was asked a couple of time now what programs I use or which size so... Let's go ! I don't know if this kind of content interested you but I think it could be nice to have some insights sometimes ? Like maybe a small tutorial for the next time ?

Anyway, here's the first answer I suppose ! These day I mainly use Clip Studio Paint. And I usually draw on an A4 or A5 format (it's too small, do more A4 or bigger, guys) but in 300DPI to be sure than I can print it if I need it in the end ! EVERYTIMES. We don't' know which drawing will suddenly please you enough to be printed so let's play intelligence for once and keep the 300DPI.

So I used to sketch on Paint Tool Sai and then line on Clip but now I do both on Clip !

Messy sketch (I'll cry later to line it). But you can see a little the texture of the brush it. On Clip Studio, you can download approximatively A BILLION of brushes and it can be a little bit too much. Even more when you just begin with the program. So I had to try different ones to find THE brush for me.

Fortunately, right when I was ready to give up this program, another artist shared on their twitter (no, I won't call it X, brrrr) that they used this one AND TADAAAA. I love the pencil texture and I LOVE IT. It's not so thin but it's enough for me. I use stabilizer at 10 just to keep my lines a little bit more straight (thanks shaky hand). And here am I ! I can sketch / line with it.

For colouring, I still use SAI so maybe it will be my next little step by step ? What do you think about it ? Let me know if it's something that could be interesting !

As I've said : I'M A LITTLE BIT OBSESSED BY THEM.

It's again Clive and Cid from FF16 (I love their shipname : firestorm). I know this game has mixed reviews. Some people liked it, some not and some just... Hate it. I'm in the "I VERY LIKED IT THANK YOU" part but I can see its flaws (a little like DA2 being my fav Dragon Age game). It just happens that it strikes all the good points in me and I ended it crying like a whale (but not as much as FF15 tho, this one was... hard).

But these 2 idiots especially ? They live freely in my head now, sharing rooms with Fenris, Hawke, my OCs and all. I love naive and sweet Clive versus older Cid playing with him.

*sighs* I'm in love, send help.

I'm sure you missed them too, haven't you ??? Cause I was browsing my procreate gallery this afternoon and I stumbled across this drawing nearly finished (maybe at 80% at least ?!). So I decided to finish it despite it being quite old and full of strange mistakes (proof that I'm improving maybe... ?). Remember that I said that this year I'll allow myself to be more relaxed about my art ! So I hope you like them cause it was like... Returning home to clean this drawing of Fenris and Hawke. Those babies are precious to me and I don't think I'll never be tired to draw them !

I think Hawke's beard tickles Fenris a little. But he still like it.
