Berto did said an amazing job! I knew a lot about this case and this deep dive was just incredible. The relationship of Humberto giving the facts and Kirk working through those facts with him was really wonderful.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm case was a little different…he was arrested on very shoddy evidence (his brother was ina gang but he was a family man) but he was not convicted. He told his lawyer that he was at the game that night, but the cops were so dug into their belief that even his ticket from that night didn’t convince them. The client remembered that there had been a film crew at the game, so the lawyer called the stadium office and found out that it was the tv show. He got in touch with the show runners to ask if he could see footage of the then unaired episode on the off chance that his client was in any of it. They at first said no, but once they heard the reason they went through all of it and found him (the person blocking the stairs made a mistake and let him down early). It was definitely a lot of luck.
