I have a pic of me snuggling our fluffy white Eskimo Spitz dog when I was 5 years old. We were sitting outside our house under an umbrella in a lawn chair. Incidentally, the dog’s name was Snowball. Your story brought that memory back.

Very interesting, thank you. I am wondering, I sometimes replay traumatic events in my head but in a different (fictional) context … is this like the opposite of suppressing?
