February Poll and an update

So, don’t wanna beat around the bush about this, I need a little break. This isn’t some notice of a prolonged hiatus or anything of the like, no need to worry about that, but I need a day off and after some thought and comparing how I’ve been feeling, I won’t be posting on tuesday, march 4th to give me that three day span where I won’t need to worry about writing, editing, plotting, or posting. Sorry about this, I just feel like if I don’t take a little time soon to just not work then it’s going to become something more than just the monday to wednesday span I’d be getting could help fix and I don’t want to burn out, so yeah. While there’s probably going to be a couple more times this year I’ll have to miss posting on a day to focus on either plotting, editing, or re-reading as we get closer and closer to the end of things I will be trying to keep them spread out. Sorry about that and thank you for your understanding.
Alright, and now that I’ve said that, on to the regular poll. It’s been a long time since I’ve done this as an option but on top of three regular choices to vote from, I’m adding Turnip’s pick again so if you vote for that, I’ll be going with whatever idea I think might work best, with of the choices currently available, some past options, or maybe something just completely off the wall compared to anything else I’ve done for a side story. We’ll see. Anyway, as always, pick what you want and hope you guys have a great one!

I don't have a strong suggestion for the specific PoV, but can I suggest that you try writing the side story in a different genre/tone entirely that you haven't tried? Either make it a pure comedy, a genuine horror/tragedy of someone that actually dies in the end, some sort of excerpt from lab notes, a slice of the actual political and economic realities and the complexities of managing them, or just shove your favorite anime/TV show character in with a different name and try writing in someone else's tone for one chapter?

But that isn't healthy for the author, hence i'm all for Turnip taking a break when he needs one. Because if there is one thing that's worse than not getting our regular chapter fix, it's a burned out or otherwise ill author... cause that means no chapters at all. Sounds selfish, because it is. But my very selfish greed for more chapters means break times for Turnip are a must have.

When you do that you _have_ to build in breaks and leave and all the other stuff that Real Jobs(tm) have - the tendency I've found when self-employed is to forget about them and keep working and I burn out fairly quickly. Given I want to keep reading your work for some time, my entirely self-serving suggestion is to realise you can take a break every now and then and take them when it's best for you. Let us know ahead of time if you can, but even if you don't your health & wellbeing is paramount. Take care of yourself!
