Hey funk freaks... today we're getting really lively with a triplety doodle. Read on if you'd like learn, nerds!

....

This part is all triads on the top 3 strings. If you know these you know these, and if you don't, well you probably should. Basically for major chords you have 3 main shapes for each inversion. For this example I'll use G major:

---3---7---10---
---3---8---12---
---4---7---12---

Transpose these to the correct spots and you have the shapes required for this part. Heck, only the 1st and 3rd ones are used here so that makes matters even more simple!

You may be asking yourself: what's a triplety dooble? Well, the part is in triblets. 3 notes per beat. Count it like this: 1 & a 2 & a 3 & a 4 & a

This presents an issue with strumming. Typically you want downbeats to have downstrokes, but if you alternate pick each beat, then beats 2 and 4 start on an upstroke. This feels awkward. You'll need to experiment here and find the strumming that works for you. Here's a few possible strumming patterns that work:

#1
1 & a 2 & a 3 & a 4 & a
d u d d u d d u d d u d

#2
1 & a 2 & a 3 & a 4 & a
d d u d d u d d u d d u

#3: Straight alternate picking.

Combined with the fact that there's some quarter notes mixed in with the 8th note tripletz, you're gonna have to experiment and find what picking pattern feels best to you. I personally do the straight alternate picking, but I don't think it's technically the best way. That means I'm playing my own song wrong. It is what it is
