A brief bulletin, 8,861 miles away from the last

Hello, good people of Patreon!

I simply wanted to drop you all a note of thanks for supporting me through the past few months of major life transition.

If you haven't been keeping up with CK, in early July I broke the news that our family was leaving Philadelphia to move to New Zealand! In fact, this move was in the works as far back as my last update in May - part of the "Math of May" was that my wife was around the globe from my daughter and I interviewing for jobs.

That change and all the ensuing planning, packing, and travel meant that CK has had to take a back seat for the past few months in terms of fancy new content, despite me having a pretty killer Summer Editorial Plan set up.

It's also meant my budget is stretched farther than ever as we bought some final US essentials to ship to NZ and a few first NZ essentials in country before our possessions arrive by ship. That means I was more grateful for your support than every before! I would have literally had to turn off some CK features and services this month if not for your support.

Now we are settled in a house just north of Wellington city district, and all of our things (including my comic collection!) are due to arrive in just 48hrs.

There is still a lot to do and explore in New Zealand, but hopefully that means I can also begin to get back on track with updates to Crushing Krisis and the addition of new guides - including several Patrons' Only guides I mentioned before this four-month change of life began.

Plus, then we'll be on to November - the one-year celebration of the launch of this campaign!

Thanks so much for sticking with me through all of this. It means a lot. As always, I'd love to hear your questions, suggestions, and feedback.

I don't think any of the Aaron omnibus particularly run into each other and this one is by far the best material - just saying ;) That saying, those months will be tough on my bank account - Wolverine, Wpn. X, Punisher MAX AND Carnage!?! Ouch

I don't know! I do really want it, but as I said in the post, it feels incomplete with the other two Aaron books on either side of it, and they're a bit out of my budget at the moment.

I have indeed been reading with enthusiastic delight - your posts are dangerous to my bank account as I am regularly adding new items to my wishlist of your write ups! Regarding #33 - time to put your money where your mouth is!?! Are you preordering the Wolverine Goes to Hell Omnibus? 😁

James, thanks so much for the note! Yes, may things here are way more British than anything else. For example, maple syrup is with the ice cream toppings rather than the breakfast foods, which I understand is a British grocery quirk? As you may have seen, I am indeed back to the Most-Wanted posts! I'm hoping to squeak out a few each week to get us inexorably closer to the top spot while also getting back to regular blogging AND posting new guides. We'll see how that all turns out.

Hi Peter, hope you're all settling in well in your new home - I've enjoyed your posts about the cultural differences you're noticing! As a Brit, I am guessing I am closer to the NZ way of life than US. Also, married to an Italian, you're experiences with the Italian cheesemonger made me chuckle - it's all different from region to region within Italy, let alone expansion out across the US Italian community! In terms of future CK activity, I was wondering if you're planning to continue the Most Wanted 2017 posts once you're back up to speed? (no pressure, just interested; I can't imagine the scale of upheaval you've all been through!)
