I was thinking the out of clothes moment, but upon further consideration I did a write in. Discovery. The moment when a person, alien, robot, or animal first looms before them and it is undeniable what has happened. It is also very clear to the woman, that she has been discovered and implications such a moment can have. She can be terrified, amazed, excited, shocked... she might faint, she might run, she might scream, she might cry, she might jump for joy! So much emotion and possibility associated with being discovered.

2025-01-11 11:30:03 +0000 UTCAw, no multiple-choice options here, so: I absolutely love the change of “power dynamics” that even small size changes (in the range of +-25%) offer. This might sound so little but just think about the normal sized girl suddenly being just teeny 1,30 m tall or growing to towering 2,20 m. So the struggle to comprehend wtf is happening as clothes get loose or tighter, the dawning realization and the reaction to suddenly being smaller same sized or taller than someone other (Fun? Tease? Schadenfreude? Concerne? Envy? ...), together with the following implications to their situation/life (stuff being slightly out of range, not being the posh tall girl anymore or suddenly being right that after a little grow or even having to duck beneath doorframes now). But it must not always be involuntary: The scenario vice versa, in which a character actively tries to change herself and plans/considers by how much, together with the following action and realization of success and analyzation of the changed situation or presentation of their new self absolutely rocks, too (like Sophie in NaT). So many cool scenarios.

2025-01-11 00:23:39 +0000 UTCHere are a couple other scenarios: That moment between denial & acceptance: She's 6-9 inches shorter, so it's noticeable, and she knows something is amiss, but since shrinking isn't possible, it would never be that. Fear: worrying about when--or if--the shrinking will ever stop.

I went with the early oblivious phase because there is some fun with how far you draw that out before someone might realize they are shrinking.. buuut I think a moment that I adore, that's maybe captured in one of the last few is the moment when they are at their "smallest", or so they think, but they get smaller, whether by residual shrinking or another trigger moment or whatever haha.
