I Need To Talk About Fantastic Four | Rough Cut

This edit is gonna be a lot lighter because of A) time and also B) I dont have a ton to work with because the movie cut so much out lol. I want to try and have it out tomorrow but I might push it to Sunday we'll see.

Took a little extra time to try and get this right, I weirdly have both a lot to say but also not a ton to say so I just wanted to make sure that the video ended up to my standards. Sorry for no spoiler free review or spoiler talk, I was at SDCC and wasn't able to film anything (I tried filming in the car and it went horribly). Going to try and do the spoiler talk soon, if not then maybe squeeze it into the July video or something.

Oh my god this one took me a while, really tried to fast track this and get it out no later than today and I'm glad I managed it. I wish the edit was a bit better and I had more movie footage to work with and make something more premium. But besides that I'm really happy with how this turned out, was even able to squeeze in some guitar at the end which was really fun.

DC/Marvel Crossovers I Want to See | SCRIPT

Took me a really long time to figure out this script, and honestly I'm still figuring it out, don't tell anyone. Feels a little too "listy" but I didn't really want to spend 5 minutes pitching each and every crossover idea in depth. Instead I wanted to focus more on the thematics of it. The conclusion paragraph is sort of eluding me I'm trying to figure out my greater point and I can't quite get there yet. I was aiming for Saturday but I'm doing the charity livestream them so probably more like Sunday. I just want to get something else out in June before Superman/Fantastic Four month starts. (lots of stuff coming for July)

Sorry it's been a bit since the last vid, I was supposed to have something out end of May but couldn't get the script to a place I like so I pivoted to this and I had a lot of fun. A lot of books I've always wanted to cover but never had the chance. Going to film it today and have it out this Saturday.

Also really want to see if I can salvage any DCEU retrospective ideas before the end of the month, but I also know there's hype around Wonder Woman so maybe that's also this month. But I don't have another sponsor offer yet so we'll see.

New Rough Cut! I'm not sold on the title yet I'm 50/50 between "I Need to Talk About the Superman Trailer" and "I'm Tired of the Superman Discourse"

But this one was fun, it's half trailer talk and half discourse talk (hence the title troubles)

I'm hoping to maybe have it out tomorrow? The edit shouldn't be too bad, it's mostly trailer footage but if not tomorrow then definitely Sunday. I do also have to do the thumbnail so.

About halfway done here, I think I like what I have to say. I'm definitely pushing it a bit and maybe poking a bear with some of the "discourse" talk, but idk I felt a drive to say this shit and get it off my chest and I think I came at it as empathetically and understanding as possible, despite my frustration. Still have the actual "trailer" bits to talk about, and then gonna film this tonight to have it out Saturday.

I'm not really into the title. I'm trying to decide if I should go full "Trailer video" or more "I'm Sick of the Discourse" type of video. They each have their pros and cons obviously, one is gonna attract wayyy more bad faith stuff which isn't fun but also it'd have more longevity once trailer hype dies down. So yeah I'm not sure yet.

I'm trying this new thing where I don't stress as much, we'll see how that works for me.

Very very rough cut here, I want to re-organize each take so the ideas flow a bit better and stuff, and I need to block out the B-roll clips and do my usual audio J-cuts and stuff so the cuts flow better, but here it is for now. I think i'm happy with it, if I feel like I'm missing any fundamental ideas I'm gonna add some VO to clear things up to make it stronger but I had some fun with this and it's nice to be making an actual video again! Also, I mentioned this in the Discord but sorry I had to miss the March QnA livestream. I was planning on doing it last week and giving some notice beforehand but I ended up coming down with something and I’ve basically had zero energy. To make up for it I’ll do 2 streams in April and figure out a schedule for that so I can be consistent with it.
