“Oh ♫ Nicole ♫? Where’ ♫ are ♫ you?” Ivana’s adorable trine lilting through the foyer and into the home. Every muscle in my arms tightens, snapping forward and stashing the small wad of powder beneath a short wax candle.

Ivana’s shadow creeps along the floor as I spin to lean against the mantle. Resting my temple against my fist, I feel a chill washing down my spine as I watch the tall brunette step into the room. “Boo.” I say calmly, inching my elbow in front of the hiding space.

“That’s really the best you can do?” She teases, squaring up against me. Resting her shapely chin against the joints of her fingers. “I—must—have surprised you. No wands, or shrink rays handy?”

“I don’t have to shrink you—EVERY— time we get together Baby.” I Smirk, inching forward, the air in the room suddenly feels cold, my stomach and legs feel a slight breeze as my heart begins to race. “Have to keep you on your toes, don’t I?”

“You always do.” She purrs, leaning into me. “But I’m almost disappointed, I thought there’d be a bit of a challenge.”

Smirking, I lean in, kissing her cheek. “Who says there isn’t?”

She tilts her head to one side, welcoming the gesture. “Mmm, I suppose.” She says, her perfume filling the space between us.
