Reflections 21, 35, 69

Somehow 3 meme reflections in one post. These are all, on paper, very silly. In practice I love each of them.

And here's the spreadsheet with the unlocked Reflections so far! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13s-kMNuxvayJZ3HylynTo1A9lN0CKd7aIED-ImoE87A/edit?usp=sharing

You can use that to keep track of what has or hasn't been shown! I might have missed one or two and if so I'm sorry!

These are the Reflections rolled from last week's post! I'll be doing 3 of these a week, please respond to this post with new numbers and I'll roll again next Monday! Also if you liked these say something nice at the same time.

Please note: these numbers don't represent the actual chronology number of each Reflection in-universe. These numbers represent their position on the d100 chart, and even that may change!

Each Reflection is broken into:

Chronology number - Title - Weapon Type - What attribute color it grants the character. I may also include GM notes about how it's supposed to be played/used!

21

199 - Excaliboomerang - Boomerang - Yellow: The sacred sword which controls the flow of the world. Its awkward angle denotes its mastery over physical forces beyond the comprehension of others. An impact of this blade is capable of halting the sky itself from falling. It collects the light from the heavens as it flies along its noble arc.

Power: E

Defense: E

Tech: B

Anima: D

Special: EX

Feedback: E

GM’s note: I always intended to change the name of this Reflection, but never did because I found it hilarious. MAYBE expect it to be different in the final list. Shockingly one of the most requested types of weapon in the Reflection list, this boomerang is capable of freezing any object it hits in space AND builds up horrific radiance as it travels bending light around it.

35

X001 - The First Water - Potion - Clear: A large vase containing perfectly clear water. Its origin is unknown.

Those that imbibe the water witness the beginnings of the first branch and gain wisdom and immortality for housing the great draught.

Power: F

Defense: F

Tech: F

Anima: F

Special: F

Feedback: EX

GM’s note: One of the wilder Reflections and the first of the X series, this is probably one of the most “lol EX feedback” Reflections of them all. By drinking this the user is made immortal! I’ll also scramble their stats. Over time, the user slowly gains more aquatic features, and they’ll start to peer into other places like a fish being able to see out the sides of their tank.

69

X178 - Fishing Pole - Fishing Pole - Red: As the seasons shifted one to the other, so too did the collective consciousness of the world embracing a new hero as easily as the years tick forward. The final champion paused, feeling time eddying around her body, yanking her towards a destination which she was not prepared to depart for just yet. She settled for a time at the edge of a clear riverbank, peering into the brilliant waters. “Ah, if only I had a fishing rod instead of a blade,” she thought. Her sword would carry her into the next age, another mark on the grand clock and yet, in this moment of leisure it provided her no true comfort. With a smile twisting her lips, she pulled her blade from the sheath, tossing it into the water. The sword was unnecessary, but the sheath would make a decent enough pole she supposed.

Time paused and the world never advanced beyond this age. It ended quietly there, along with the hero that traded the future for an afternoon of fishing.

Power: B

Defense: C

Tech: A

Anima: C

Special: D

Feedback: F

GM’s note: A fishing pole, or, more specifically a shealth with a rope tied around it to be used as a makeshift fishing rod. An old blade comes with it rusted nearly to the hilt that deals almost no damage on contact. The high stats and name should draw the wielder to using the sheath and rope instead as a weapon. Once adhered, the rope at the end of the sheath will never detach unless cut by the rusted sword. The more one uses Fishing Pole, this strange, counter-intuitive weapon the more one's perception shifts to match that of the weapon. Time eddies and flows around this weapon. Though simple on the surface, the rope, blade and sheath together make an unrivaled weapon, tool as well as fishing rod. Every knick, every bit of damage on the blade is placed intentionally like stones in a river.

Also it can be used to catch fish.
