I wouldn't put it past Shido or his goons to have rigged the gate in some way should things not exactly go his way or set up the schools PA system to basically be a dinner bell for the undead and screwing nearly everyone over just to force an ultimatum (aka he has the bus keys). Knowing how the dude operates though, if you are not someone he like's or thinks he can use or are a devout member of his little cult of personality he's got going, then you're not getting on those buses. Either way, I have a feeling that things are going to get out of hand, all because of one man's narcissism and need to be above everyone else which will hopefully comeback to bite him in the most painful fashion one can imagine.
