I feel you on not having a strong friend group but rather little islands of friends - it's like that me for me too. I'm grateful to still be close to my high school group but we're spread out now and I have more one-on-one friends in my city. I appreciate those friendships too but there is less of a sense of community and I'm still trying to find it. I also wanted to express how thankful I am to have found you. I've been following you since 2016 and you've inspired me so much in my own journey. Your art, videos and streams have been such a comfort and joy over the years and I just think you're such a wonderful and warm person!! It's been so cool to see you grow and evolve, thank you for all the love and care you put into everything 💖 Oh and Babel is incredible and I'm so excited that you're going to read it!!

2024-02-10 18:14:49 +0000 UTCi love this format and this whole podcast. i’m out here getting emotional with you 🥺 i get what you’re saying about houston. i left kansas city area (where my family and friends lived) and moved out to seattle as well thinking my life would be so magical and different. i do love many aspects of this city and my life here, but i also only have single connections rather than a group and it feels somewhat isolating. i feel like i finally understand the meaning of that saying “the grass is greener on the other side.” fomo is soooo real. but this year i’m really striving to be more content and live intentionally and cultivate that homey feeling by surrounding myself with a group of like-minded people 🥰 i hope you’re able to find a little group in your current area who gives you that same feeling!! also, i have always found so much comfort and joy in watching your content through the years and hope you know that your yt/instagram/etc. still brings me this feeling. i’m entering my late 20’s and i feel like, as a viewer, i’m growing alongside you and your content in the best way. thank you for your continued hard work and effort and love you put into everything you create, and know that your viewers are wholly supportive of you!! 💖

Pod is great too but it reminds me of your old old videos which were like a little heart to heart. We’re the same age so I def feel you about the turning 30 weirdness. I always thought I wouldn’t be affected by it but there’s so much that’s coming up and so much nostalgia!

2024-02-01 21:52:54 +0000 UTCI feel you on the nostalgia thing- im about to graduate from art school and ive been feeling nostalgic about the past lately, Im guessing it’s because I am about to enter a new chapter of my life- some of my friends are feeling the same way, it’s kinda nice seeing that we are all going through that at the same time. The Secret History is such a good book !!! I loved it so much. I really want to try to get back into reading as well, and I found this booktuber named The Book Leo, very cool vibes I really recommend her! Also !!! So mad about those classmates you mentioned. I recall in middle school being very confused about people being mean to each other as « friends » But i also wanted to add that your content is not less interesting at all then it was a few years ago ; i love seeing you grow as an artist and person online, and to me you’re just becoming cooler and cooler ehe ✨
