The Future of Quazii UI & Midnight Alpha

The truth is out — the reason I’ve been a little quieter lately is because I’ve been inside Blizzard’s closed Midnight Alpha.

📝 TL;DR from the Alpha so far

⚔️ Combat Addons → Blizzard is restricting their power in Midnight.
🎨 UI / Aesthetic Addons → 100% confirmed safe. Ion himself called this out.

That means Quazii UI will continue to exist going into Midnight. Some tweaks will be needed, sure, but my mission is the same as always: deliver the cleanest, easiest-to-install UI for every class, every expansion. We will need to learn some new skinning tools, some new addons, but more on that later.

Bottom line: QUI is here to stay.

By the time Midnight launches, Quazii UI will be fully ready for you to enjoy — whether that means adapting WeakAuras, skinning Blizzard’s default tools, or creating new solutions from scratch. I simply cannot play WoW without my UI, and many of you feel the same.

• I’ll be working full-time on Midnight Quazii UI as Alpha → Beta ramps up.

• QUI will continue to be updated for The War Within, Season 3 in the meantime.

- added failed batch timer CDs, so you know exactly when to LoS + bait them to spawn in corners in cinderbrew

- added a glowy icon that goes away when you DPS pot; aka never miss a DPS pot window again

QUI 2.0 Installer - VDH Class WA

- updated the VDH Class WA for title pushing

- empowered soul cleave + fracture now comes with green + red sword textures, so you know exactly which part of your combo you are at

- added WA icons that anchor to Plater signaling duration of your Fiery Brand + Sigil of Flame; these are important because they function as damage reduction on mobs to you (SoF assuming you run illuminated sigils of course); I recommend if you want to keep these additions to name plate, blacklist Sigil of Flame + Fiery Brand in Plater

  • Added an anchor to the nameplate of the adds on Ipad to show their energy, and how far they are away from transforming into faster moving red adds

Quazii Plater Debuff Mods FINISHED

• MASSIVE gamechanger for tracking debuffs on Plater with new customization options:

  • Change border color and nameplate color

  • Color changes when debuff timer is about to expire

  • Combo detection for multiple debuffs (e.g., debuff A + debuff B = color C)

• Included by default in the Plater profile for everyone (see YouTube explainer on channel)

M+ CC/Silence Rotation Shotcaller (WORK IN PROGRESS)

• New WeakAura developed on stream that calls out the optimal CC rotation for your group

• Intelligently prioritizes CC/Group silences to avoid Stun Diminishing Returns

• Currently 85% complete

• Will be available as both a dungeon pack and standalone version

• e.g. you can say: "I grip, into silence, into beam, into Sleet, into Roar..."

Important Reminder

When importing the latest profiles, it will default to the 'Quazii' font and texture. If you see the WeakAuras defaulting to the standard WoW font—that's because you're missing the custom Quazii font & texture. We're using custom Quazii font & texture in the new UI for 12.0 and it looks MUCH better!
