Lenchi had an idea that it would look amazing to have a beautiful vista of the city while walking on some of the bridges, here is a mockup concept of what we are trying to go for:

We wanted to give Jaime a unique look since we started go in the general direction of a goth baddie for her and this is what we started coming up with which then Lenchi in turn executed:

Then here is the 3D rendition to get a better grasp of how it would all look together from different vantage points. A render like that can serve over and over instead of having our artists drawing it multiple times, so they could focus on other tasks until something more permanent is needed:





Here's a more detailed slice for the scale. For reference I took our residential district from the 0.2 update. I didn't go into super-fine details - for now it's more of building positions and their relative sizes. Hopefully, it's recognizable! I've also added cars and train lines (orange ones) around the area.



Then finally some pipes and wires to add that cyber clutter you’d expect to see in a cyberpunk city:

Desva:
Desva has been adding more to the city to bring more life into it. Starting with more train lines

He has been constantly adjusting lighting to keep things extra crisp:

It makes a big difference to adjust the lighting in engine, here are two examples of a before and after:

Besides expanding and upkeep the city, he also does bug fixes! Fixed an occurrence where the phone, cheese and banana were unlit:

Taking already existing assets Desva added some more movement to faintly see through the windows of what the Neon dwellers could be up to in the buildings:

Aine:
Aine has been working on more overworld chibis with the android body parts now finished. So all that was left were completely kitted out characters:

We recently had the honour of onboarding a sound engineer to help us balance out the sounds in game as well as take some of the workload off from other team members:

Bear:
Bear has been doing bugfixes, as well as implementing all the new stuff needed for accommodating the new sound structures.
Here are also some new shaders added to the overhand curtains:

Changed how the lighting in the background layers works, how the parallax works, added more behind the foremost background layer. Trains now also pass by every 10-15 seconds:
Here is some new rim lighting for the platform with all the beauty bots to add more dynamic movement to the scene:

Bear experimented with different kind of floors from glittery to wooden ones and right now he was testing a more glossy one where you could see the characters reflections:

Bear made another tool for us to use for making closed sprite shape ambient occlusion. Essentially it’s meant to help with changing the material settings, size and angle:
