Update from the Bear!

Hey everyone! Just felt like writing a personal update c:

A lot has happened since I went from my old job as a mobile game developer to go work full time on Third Crisis / Anduo Games. Can't believe that's already 2 years ago, haha. I moved to a new flat, we started development on a new game, we hired 5 new people working for us, we created an actual corporation and probably a ton more I forgot about.

The reason I've set out to write this post is because I'm about to go on holidays for the first time since I've gone full time on TC about 2 years ago. I'm really excited about going on holidays! Gonna fly into a country I've never been in before and explore! I've already finished the content for the upcoming TC update. I'm currently trying to get 1 more scene in, but the animation tech I programmed isn't working in a very important edge case (scaling or rotating the spine), so chances are that there will only be 2 new animations for the porn actress route, I hope that will be okay.

For the longest time the setup for Vils and me has been, that she works on the Main story content while I work on the side content. This has worked really well for a long time. I love writing the more extreme content and she does an outstanding job on the main story. Recently it's been getting harder to get main content in though. I guess we're running up against the 80/20 rule of software development. 80/20 meaning you're gonna have 80% done very quickly, but the last 20% are going to take way longer. Development on TC has been going for close to 4 years now, I'd argue we're well in the last 20%. 

My part for the rest of TC's development will be finishing the Streetwhore route (I'm planning one more scene plus maybe some flavour dialogues), the Porn Actress route (a bit more wholesome, I'm thinking of giving the current nameless woman a name and a character sprite), the Peitho route (I'm completely unsure as of yet how I'm gonna end it lol) and I wanna add content for when Jenna takes of the Badge in the town. After that, I'm probably gonna help out Vils with main story content.

At the moment, Vils is working on Rosas are Red, as we try to finish that game and get it on steam! Super excited for that! We've recently commissioned the voice actress https://twitter.com/MimiHung_VO to voice Rosa and she did an outstanding job! Very excited to see her voice messages in the game! The plan is to have the game fully implemented some time next month and then do polish for another month to get it 100% sale ready. We'll see how well we can stick to that plan. We'll surely also think about some way of getting active patrons access to the game. We don't know how this will look exactly just yet but don't worry about it.

Apart from that, me, PmPerfect, Jugger and ll3d have been working on Legends of Erokin. It's the 3d game some of you might have seen in the weekly updates. PmPerfect is working on the 3d environment while Jugger and ll3d are working on the character models. I think we've made some great progress, but we're still quite far away from getting where I want us to be before we finish with TC. We should probably hire a character concept artist to get a better vision of where our goal even is. Switching to 3d development is a lot of work, but it's the most fun I've had in development in a long time! Coding 3d shaders, nerding out on 3d modelling workflows and texturing is just so my thing! I'm super excited to continue iteration on this after my work hours on TC.

Maybe I should write these more personal updates more often?
