June 2020 Updates

Hey gang, sorry there has been some slow times here. I wanted to give you guys some updates on everything happening over here on my end!

First off, since May was slower due to Covid and so many other factors, I will leave up the May hi res folder and continue adding to it this month.

Ok, SO, as for the opening of Wonderland Studios again, we aren't as of yet. I will be keeping the studio closed through June for certain. Places around here are starting to open, and rapidly, but not because it was deemed safe but because people wanted to 'normalize' faster.

A studio, especially one like ours, which has a good amount of space with tons of props and backdrops, would almost be IMPOSSIBLE to completely sanitize before and after each client uses the space.

There are studios that are opening, and they are simply stating they will require masks, will provide wipes, and will be cleaning when they open and when they close the studio. That, to me, is not enough to protect me, my crew and the clients. I just won't chance it.

So, what that means, is that in the meantime, I have to deal with more stress staying closed. We are still required and have always been required to keep paying the lease for the space as well as all utilities and what not to keep things going. Health and safety always first, but you can see where my stress keeps gradually building haha.

Speaking of such, since this has all started, I have had a massive increase in migraines and vertigo. These bouts seem to hit almost every week now and the vertigo alone keeps me dizzy for 2 - 3 days at a minimum. It is completely debilitating. I am literally not able to handle lights, staring at screens, etc.

I have meds, which seem to help a little, but until the world calms down, this is probably going to keep happening. I would be lying if getting dizzy this often wasn't also causing me to be more worried about my health.

Possibly this month, I hope to be out and about at some point and maybe even start shooting. Maybe haha. I can keep good distance and it may work, but it's not something im exactly counting on to happen but it IS a goal!

Lastly, editing at home is just so much slower. My system at home can barely handle one or more images being edited now at a time, so that puts a damper on my speed as well.

I wanted to just be upfront with everything happening in life right now. I am absolutely not able to do even 1/10th of what I want to be doing for myself and for all of you, but I will keep trying!

I have also applied for and received some benefits from the govt for help with keeping my business afloat, but that comes with is own HUGE headaches because they don't just give you help. They provide you SOME monetary relief but give you a TON of restrictions on how the funds are to be used ALONG with keeping insane records or else I end up owing them back.

Fun times.

I truly hope all of you are doing ok and doing your best to stay healthy and strong. We will all come back together at some point, we just have to get there. Together.
